A guy with a heart as big as his, it's no wonder it could only tick for 52 years. He was nothing if not passionate and forthright, and in this age, that alone deserves mountains of respect, let alone his incredible workrate.
yeah this is awesome. ive been binge watchn Jim all night. i just did shoulders at 12midnight.. haha. after watching this one i feel like doin more. Inspiring stuff.
Wise words. The part about not taking shit from yourself is so true, it's the excuses and limits we create for ourselves because of various sources of fear that hold us back the most.
You are so right! I'm 53, workout at a hardcore bodybuilding gym and I look better and workout harder than 99% of these guys. Too many are into things that don't matter like macros, pre during and post workout crap that people sell them. All they need to do is throw all the stuff out and just workout.
They think that these things will give them the "edge" or make everything come easy. They don't understand that they need to put in the hard yards, and grind for a long time.
Never ever take these videos down! They are such an inspiration. I am watching this right before going to gym and now I'm psyched for a kick ass workout. Warrior was very wise, a great motivator, it sucks that he's gone, but he will live forever through these videos which will inspire generations to come.
Just coming to watch some of these videos. I saw them all when they originally posted and just love listening to the Warrior. A hero since 1991, I obsessed over his comic books in 1996 and started following his original blog and old website in 2003. I've collected a lot of his figures, still in the package, and I was excited to see him in the ring at a show in 1992 ! I was glad to see him come back and do in 2008. Doesn't matter if it wasn't "good" - he only did it for the fans and I loved seeing him get into doing autograph appearances these past 5 years.
Warrior was the best sports entertainer hands down. I keep hearing all this negative press about who he was but i say they are full of shit. He was one of a kind and i can say i will always remember the great man he was. Intensity at its best, and truly an inspiration to me. I wish he had more time to continue to inspire me. My 3yo son is mesmerized by his presence. Ultimate one, u are truly missed!
I love how he talks about training being a joy. When I train I enjoy myself and I've always focused more on the technique than the weight. Too much weight can hurt you and throw off your concentration and breathing.
Before my alcoholism became very serious, I used to workout heavily 5 days a week (no room for booze) and was highly successful, on a reality TV show and had a busy and wonderful life. One of the videos I would listen to as I walked to the gym everyday was this one. When I stopped going to the gym, it was only a matter of time before I started drinking and having my whole life in shambles. Warrior needs to be back in my life again and his inspirational videos aren't just about working out.
One of my childhood hero's and as an adult he still inspires me even after his untimely passing now that,is truly the warrior spirit!!! The warrior lives on! God bless to warrior and his surviving family
Ultimate Warrior...you gave me the best memories I've ever had. When you debuted, that day became my first day of the rest of my life. And all throughout your career I've never been happier and proud of the USA and my fellow man! Thank you for the soul I got to admire that made mine understand how important HEART was in any and everything man! Rest in Peace my friend...I'll see you in the next life!!!
I am 52 and have been training since I was around 16. I totally agree with him. He is correct. No doubt most younger people in the gym dont think long term. I am about 99% sure most of them will not be training when they are even in their 40s. I get sick of allot of them struting around the gym doing the same lame ass workout and never try anything new. Its always the same old bullshit 1 to 3 reps way too heavy and mainly live to bench press. Its so ridiculous. They don't seem the have a mind of their own. I wish most of them would just pack their shit up and go home. I agree with the warrior.
Actually don't give a fuck what they are doing its about you..your in the gym for you..as long as they don't get in your way when your killing your workout..there workout shouldn't even be on your mind
*High five , - i started at 16'th too, and now i am 26. Same start yet only in the middle of my journey based on your age. I hope that i will live up to your age and still be able to exercise ; i wish you - another 52 years of great life to go :)
Warrior was (it breaks my heart to have to use the past tense) very well spoken. Clearly he cared about other people with the same passion and intensity he had being the Ultimate Warrior. He is the Ultimate Role Model. Although Warrior was taken too soon, The Ultimate Warrior will never die. The Ultimate Warrior will run FOREVER. My heart goes out to the Warrior family and all of us fans. We all lost a piece of ourselves when Warrior passed away. Rest in Power, Ultimate Warrior. I as a legend maker, will continue to tell your story. You truly were larger than life. Thank you for everything you did and stood for. :(
Theres only a handfull who will give you the hard felt truth, that will always stand for something and not sell out, no matter what. THANK YOU . BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY WARRIOR !
Great Inspirational video by Warrior. He speaks the truth here, he is the sole reason I decided to lift weights. What a guy, miss you Warrior, Always Believe.
All of those of you who are referring to Warrior's steroid usage are missing the whole fucking point! He's talking about doing what you got to do with the best that you've got and not falling into a mold that's all.
Heavily misunderstood guy. Having morals is a good thing. I don't care what society had to say about some of his "controversial" statements. He spoke truthfully and THAT is what made him a real Warrior!
Warrior is preaching the old-school methods. He seems to make sense, but some people today seem to believe that success in this area requires knowing 400 little rules done in proper sequence.
Total inspiration from the time I was 8 all the way up to now, Age 31. This guy is down right fantastic. I could care less what negatives people in the business said about him... he is still the man, the hero, THE WARRIOR!!!
This was the video that got me off my ass and inspired me to finally lose all the dad weight I gained the past two years. This man has literally changed my life.
When I used to watch him when I was a kid I always assumed he was pretty short due to his physique, but he was like 6'3, what a beast. Rest in peace big fella. Thanks for the memories.
You passed on to the spirit world too early warrior. More people need to hears these words, like I did, I now work out everyday, and not only have fun, but feel better about myself for doing so. I still have a long ways to go, and always will, for each day is another learning experience. Truer words could not be spoken. R.I.P. Warrior, you will be missed by many.
rest in peace.... I am a USMC Combat Viet and my health is flying south faster than I would prefer..... the VA Hospital has more than let me down...I have heart failure and kidney failure.. I need a better diet and a program to move forward... The videos from warrior are a blessing.... thank you warrior ....
Just proves you can change your destiny..his flame burned out but still lives on!! I feel so bad about his passing.. but I am reliving his persona! in workiing out, my profession and my life situation..! My connection was that he went to my Chiropractic school for few months....and that tells alot of his character and why he is into exercise and nutrition even if it seems contradictory to some..God bless his soul..
Warrior Workout is a great investment. It inspires you to make your OWN decisions and to develop self knowledge so you aren’t reliant upon others. Thank you warrior for inspiring me
Love the Warrior. Was my hero as a kid, and still is nearly 30 years later. Listened to this video loads of times and never fails to get me motivated. RIP big man, you are missed.
I love this video. I like Him as a person....He's intelligent....with a great imagination......With the ability to constantly stay disciplined.......He was a great entertainer in the 80's and 90s in the WWF!. His Rants make sense...only if you are smart enough to decipher. His message is a BIG ONE.....Brains bigger then his muscle.... Thanks War!
What an unbelievably great man! How I wish I could have met him in person. Rest in paradise Jim. You will live on forever in my mind brother,. God bless you.
Rest In Peace Warrior, I am glad I found your videos, I had no idea how much you truly emodied the warrior mentality. You really are the ULTIMATE warrior
All i see at the gym is a bunch of punks texting, talking, standing around joking, WTF are they doing??, they dont even exercise!!!, Hes spot on about the fundamental exercise-its all you need. Oh and the looking at yourself in the mirror all the time !!!!GET A GRIP !!!!. It was never like that years ago. Im no Warrior fan,,,,,but the truth is this guy is better than any coach Ive had in sports, or motivational speaker,,,,,,this is great stuff and better yet 100% Truth.
I would love to see Warrior have it out with the "sixpackshortcuts" guy , that would be pure EPIC!! (by the way Warrior, you couldn't be more right , my regards )
This is Fantastic. Im not a Bulky workout nut. But the Mental motivation that Warrior is giving us is that of a Salt of The Earth Person....Yes im nuts too.......I Relate!......Thanks Warrior!
RIP Warrior, fantastic and inspirational video.Such a loss to the world but I know you wouldn't want us sitting around depressed about it. Gona kill it in the gym every day, thanks for the memories.
Warrior is right. I know what he's talking about. I've had days when i haven't had time to eat properly, but i was still able to use Lbs & reps that i had percieved as impossible before arriving at the gym, once there i suddenly found out that i was capable of moving those crazy weights. Cuz i felt so freakin passionate, prior to workingout, to the point that i could feel the energy surging inside of me! Challenge yourself, just put yourself to the test - don't be afraid of failure or judgement.
Despite all that's happened with the warrior university and the shoots. I Hope these video's stay up forever... I just returned to the gym after a two year hiatus and these speeches help get me off my ass and behind the iron. Thanks Warrior for leaving these behind, still giving back even after your gone.
So happy to see you come full circle with the wrestling world and address all the little Warriors out there one last time. This world just could not contain your energy and passion, that's why you've been chosen to move on to a bigger world. I've just been working out for almost 2 years and always wondered if i need to take all that crap at GNC and eat my meals at certain times and have this many carbs/proteins! So it's really reassuring what you said here, I know all that crap is not what it's all about. Thanks so much for leaving behind these inspirational words. Rest in Peace Warrior man...condolences to your wife and kids.
I'm a personal trainer and Warrior is spot-the-fuck-on. People obsess about variables that don't produce the greatest returns, then ignore or marginalize the basics that DO. The second you start obsessing and have anxiety over missing meals, supps, timing, etc, you lose the entire point and start going backwards. Health and fitness, not bullshit and anxiety. Warrior forever; always believe!!!
I used to be this way.... picked apart and obsessed about meals, sets, everything. Scared of overtraining, undertraining, not eating, sleeping or having the right supplements. Certainly all that stuff helps, but the most important thing is enjoying your training and your life. Much of the stuff we are fed is bullshit. Mind is everything. I've had better results when doing everything wrong too. Great video, great mindset. Rest in peace my friend!
Congratulations on everything Warrior! Not just your anniversary, but your life, your career, your family, discipline & intensity, and to be able to touch so many people in many different ways! You're FUCKING awesome!!!
dude i watched you for years, im native american, i grew up inner city and was always up for the fight, i used your energy to help me overcome alot of opposition and discrimination , also a reason to beat alot of peoples asses, due to their ignorance, i see myselfe as the real warrior because i fought every day of my life just for the right to be the man i am, but it was cool for a minute to think that someone actually was fighting for the right to be who i am, fuck the bullshit about the workout, the real workout, the real warrior is the one that is still the one who dont forgive the one who putd himselfe through the pain, instead of making thoughs who have pushed you there, dude, im 42 yaears old, i really fought my way threw my whole life, i have alot of arthrightis problems from my life style, but that bullshit is on me, but thanks bro for being able to express me at a fucked time of my life
Watching this video made me think of his family at christmas. My father passed on christmas day 1990 when i was 8 years old and although i think of him alot, christmas is never easy.
Are you related in any way to Dorian Yates? Just out of curiosity. Sorry about your father, it's a great loss for all people and losing your loved one in chistmas is hard.
