Wax has a low melting point. Meaning it doesn't need much heat to melt. I know because I've touched melted wax in candles and it didn't burn my finger. You can also tell by the fact wax starts to melt almost instantly when lit. It doesn't take as long as it takes water to boil hence the low melting point. Please don't stick a finger in a melting candle as it's not only near a flame and it's still moderately hot. If you touch it it's not cold since it's near a flame. So don't do it. I did it with a candle that I had turned off or with a candle I was recycling. As in melting an existing candle into a new one. Still don't do it. I don't want to be held liable for damages. I checked though and paraffin wax has a melting point of 37C° (99F°) so it's not hot to the touch. But it appears warm since it's closer to our body temp.
@@ShoyuRamenBreakingBad a low melting point means that it doesn't take much heat to melt. Like the melting point of frozen water is 0 degrees meaning at 0 degrees water starts to melt. At 37 degrees paraffin wax starts to melt. And 37 degrees celcius are about the same temperature as your own body heat if that makes more sense.
Melted wax can still be hotter than its melting point. It's like you said, ice melts at 32 F but that doesn't mean liquid water can't get hotter than that. There are plenty of people who have tried playing with candle wax and burned themselves, it's not hard to track down cases. There are specific candles they make for playing with wax.
My brain literally went, "I'm too gay for this," and it took me a good 5 seconds before I realized what that meant, and now I'm thoroughly disappointed.
I have a question…is it hot when you dip your hand? Or is it just like a warm sensation? Or did you just get used to the heat that you don’t know exactly how to answer
Hot wax therapy is common for joint pain. You literally just dip your hand in wax multiple times and put an oven-mitt like glove on to keep the heat inside. It helps with arthritis and other joint issues
I do hot wax penis therapy once a month to cure my erectile dysfunction. I'm thinking of doing hot wax testicle therapy as well to improve sperm production.
iv done this at home before i didnt even know this was a real thing people do i just got boiling water and candles chucked them in had a thing full of cold water dipped my hand in the cold water thern the boiling water and wax then in cold rinse and repeat because i thought a mold of my hand would look cool i also did it once by lighting a candle then dripping hot wax on my hand until it was covered in a thick layer then carefully took my hand out of it
@@Dev1nci might also be because im really patient with certain pains like burns and heat related things because i go into a sauna almost every month or more and stay inside for around an hour and iv done so since iv been 4 or less the sauna is a big part of Finnish culture i feel like a lot here are probably resistant to hot liquids but everyone wants for it to be winter as soon as it becomes summer even tho we just had like 8 to 9 months of coldness and darkness because its completely different compared to the heat of steam in a sauna and everyone's pretty white and for example i get sunburns every summer and my skin peels off every time
@@Dev1nci i used but iv been living in an apartment for a while so i cant i normally take a sauna then turn the shower to max coldness and rinse and repeat that instead good substitute
@@PinkyTheInky I’m setting my door handle on fire even though I’m pretty sure my door is made of wood but I shouldn’t worry right cause it’s just a candle it won’t get out of control and burn down the house right
Not remotely true. I've delt with bad burns from wax. Wax can easily cause serious injury. And can be heated upward of 400 degrees. You can develop 3rd degree burns above 156.
My husband and I did this holding each other's hands together. Very therapeutic. Pretty cool. Once we were finished, the candle maker put clear wax inside the opening where our hands were. Our hands appear to be in the solid wax form of praying hands 🙏
The wax splashes in this remind me of doing the painting where the canvas is spinning, and you get what looks like tomato sauce bottles of each colour...fun
Here is a story for you,so there is a light in the bathroom and it has WAX in it.I dipped my finger in there it burned it a little but not much.i made a cool finger wax thing and it was cool!
Bruh, imagine if you die like that and the people doing your funeral can’t get it off and then scientists from the future think that people had pink, green and purple hands
