I totally agree. I would have asked the police officer blocking off the street or when the police officer came to the restaurant she never questioned anything. Very strange. I think she was scared to ask because it wouldn’t have came off authentic

They must not have had enough direct evidence against her. As Carl has stated, depending on the circumstances, sometimes he’d rather have circumstantial or indirect evidence. I think the prosecution had to start with the “lower” fruits to lay the foundation for going after the others.
Changing the names shows the level of hate for Dan from the sociopath Wendi. Changing the one son’s middle name destroys her pathetic attempts at justifying why she did that.

@Franciscasieri Wendi being a resident of Tx has no bearing on her being subpoenaed to testify. Tx may be requested to extradite her to Fla but with the close politics between Abbott & DeSantis I figure the former would cooperate.

Wendi is NAMED as an unindicted conspirator in Charlie's original court charging papers. The State has been quite explicit that THEY regard her as guilty for many years.

Then she cut off toes to their paternal grandparents. Ruth Markel, their paternal grandmother was pivotal in changing grandparents rights in the state of Florida. She also wrote a book. Sadly they have not been allowed to foster any kind of relationship with their beloved grandsons. To add insult to injury they have never visited their father's grave. The Adelson's are cold calculating people and have broke the heart's of the Damn Markel's family. At the same time they imploded their own family. Hopefully the boys will understand the ramifications of their maternal family's cruel actions and want to know their amazing paternal family. I’ve been watching this tragic case from the UK for years - and I’ve never once thought Wendi wouldn’t be arrested. So many people saying the authorities wouldn’t go for her; insufficient evidence, immunity etc etc but I wasn’t buying it! And I can’t wait until she’s arrested, found guilty and locked up - exactly where she should have been - years ago.
Think about this for a moment… .• Wendy tells her BF (Jeff Lacasse) that her brother (Charlie) looked into hiring a hitman to kill Dan Markel. • Wendy abruptly ends her relationship with Jeff Lacasse. • Dan Markel is ambushed & gunned down in his garage. • Wendy packs up & hightails it out of town never to return. What did Wendy expect to happen? Did she think Jeff, a highly intelligent law-abiding professor, would just sweep it under the rug & take this info to his grave, especially after she 💔 ?
She probs could have been hoping that Jeff Lacasse was leaving Tallahassee at his originally planned time Friday morning and was looking to hang Dan’s demise on him, being a spurned lover.

Complaining that she was delivered of two children soon after each other, billions of women have had children born soon after each other. Besides there are advantages in this, namely, economies of scale; and closer bonding of the two and learning from each other. There are many women who do not realize how lucky they were and are. Disruption and destruction is all that has been achieved plus multi-billion dollars of taxpayers money which paid for courts, custody, prison, attorneys, etc. Half of Gaza could have been fed on bread and tea for many months with such an amount of government funds.

I attend Mass every morning. I have the Markels at the top of my prayer list and the two boys. Always get a lump in my throat thinking of them. My husband died in 2022. Still a though road for me. We had 7 children. Can’t imagine how rough it would be if murder was part of that terrible pain. Love your kindness for the Markel family. You are one of a kind.

I think because she has two children and it would likely mess them up in a bad way, fleeing from America. But I did hear she’s moving to Austin Texas and from there, she wants to slip in Mexico. That would make sense because she’s fluent in Spanish. It’ll be a great day when in fact Wendi gets arrested.

Wendi is the smartest of these idiots, being a lawyer she’s likely had more insight into the process and thus has been able to hide evidence of her guilt so far. But, we know they’ve got plenty on old Wendi, so when they’re ready I’m sure she’ll get her day in the sun!
A while ago I saw a more recent photo of Wendi, she looked old and haggard. The trial Wendi,on the stand ,confident,cool and attractive. That look was gone. She may spend a lot of time going over her alibis.

Wonder how torn her kids must feel knowing she stole their dad. They’ll have his smarts and yet having grown up under her manipulation. Hope they build a strong bond with the Markels while they can.
I think the children are really close to Wendi and the Adelson's and if all this happens, they are only going to resent the Markel grandparents terribly after this is all over. They will lose it if their mother goes to jail and will be so lost for years to come. I agree the whole thing is very sad and unfortunate. I just can't decide for myself whether Wendi is guilty or not... but I need to watch and read some more on it. I pray for all of them and hope for peace and healing.
I think Wendi and Harvey will both be arrested. Harvey knew because he and Donna were paying money. There is no way Harvey didn’t know. When Donna made any calls, Harvey iwas right there with her. But the sheer amount of money that was paid via the adelson institute Harvey knew about it all. That whole family had a part. However, Wendi, was the mastermind. She’s the only one who knew dans schedule, where he’d be, when he would be traveling, etc. the killers wouldn’t have any idea of how to find that out. Even Wendi’s family wouldn’t know unless Wendi told them. Wendi’s endless bitching and moaning about Dan to her family set the premise for the murder.
My feeling is that Wendi and Donna are equal masterminds. They fed each others narcissistic grievances and worked themselves up into a murderous rage that led where it led. I don't think this would have happened without them both involved in collaborating to draw in Charlie and Harvey to their plans. And, I can totally see Wendi throwing her mother under the bus in her own defence. The evidence shows that all four Florida Adelsons were ultimately involved in a murder conspiracy and should be charged. What a clusterf*** of Adelsons and of narcissism that has devastated so many lives. 😔

I love that justice is going to find Wendi, but I feel terrible that Dan’s parents have to keep re-living their baby’s (yes, they are always our babies) murder. They have to listen and see everything over and over again…that can’t be easy. I hope the convictions give them and Dan peace .

I used to listen to Tim Jansen’s opinion on the Adelson case, but he has been “wrong” too many times. He either isn’t objective or has an agenda that is hard to understand. I am sure he is a good enough attorney, but he doesn’t seem to have an actual pulse on the Adelson case.
I realize it’s a moot point here but I just can’t get beyond the fact that no one (Adelsons) thought this was a bad idea to do this to this poor man. At what point does a person not look at themselves and say “this is messed up”? I mean I had a pretty bad abusive divorce but I never would’ve done anything like that to my ex. I figured at some point my ex would tick off the wrong person so I would have to do nothing.
Thankfully most normal rational people do not think murder is the answer to resolving issues. The arrogant, insufferable Adelsons aren’t amongst them. Wicked to the core, they pay others to do their dirty evil crime - confident no one would have the temerity to pin it on them.
