I have this cooler and it runs great. Since it only came with two dust filters I simply wash one when it gets clogged and leave it to dry overnight and so far I still get the same great temps.
These things WORK. I use one on my Gen 5 Legion 7 (10750H/2070Super) that laptop has always ran HOT. Regardless of repasting, undervolting, etc. This cooler thoguh wrangled it in. Worth every penny for a laptop that stays mostly in one place.
I just got this cooler myself. I went from 80-95 degrees with Cyberpunk at High/Ultra settings to 60-77 degree with the same graphics settings. Its insane.
@@zdwlf3934 It is cheaper in some areas like here in Malayisa it is around 65 USD, while the IETS 500 can be around 70USD and the IETS 620 can be around 85USD, but in US price are expensive I.e. Amazon
My only issue with similar devices is how they might affect the laptop negatively. I only had one once in my life and after about a year the laptop's GPU fan malfunctioned. My worry is that the forceful entrance of air from the bottom makes the internal fans suffer a bit and may get damaged. Obviously the cooler fans and the intake in the laptop and location of its fans need to align for this to happen. Now with sample of just once, mine, I can't say that t his is definitely a thing, but it is enough for me to have that in my mind if I ever can buy one again. As for this video and product in particular, I have to say strictly from results, if I had such a cooler I would use it at 300rpm as for me it looks like the best medium between temp drop, potential threat to the laptop fans, noise and performance. Though obviously the 1000rpm would be better, the increase threat and noise would make it not as attractive to me. Still at 300rpm it does look good for the job. Question, did you check the laptop's fans if they dropped speed while using the cooler? Or did you have them at certain locked speed? I know you mention you set them at performance level, but do they stay steady at certain speed or do they change depending on the temps? Good video and it looks like a good cooler. Thanks for sharing.
They actually drop speed if the Llano is active. I see what you mean and I thought about the same thing already. Though for an objective view at that, we would probably need a clean case study with quite a lot of laptops and coolers and time 😐
I recenlty played BF2042 and my temps hardlocked to an insane 95c (also a 12700h). So at first seeing this being 90 on a table I figured wasn't that bad. But I went back and looked at the resource monitor log I had created back then. And my CPU was pushing 3900/4100mhz. I figured mine might have poor cooling, but nah, battlefield 2042 is just tarded
Hellio guys ;) Thank you for the gteat vieeo, I have a question, the adapter is it a type F power plig? Asked Amazon and they had no clue whatsoever..., I live in The Netherlands... Any tips is welcome. Cheers, Mike 😉
@@Hubwood sorry I forgot to add the question mark? Yes it's a Question why ur laptop's cpu don't boost above 4000mhz even my previous i7 10th can boost above 4200mhz With this cooling pad it should go above 4500mhz!
@@Smart_boy2001 Not a question of the temperature in this case. More likely dynamic boost giving more power to the GPU especially at these settings. Also not sure if it could hold the 4,3-4,5 GHz for a long time if I would test it in cinebench or sth similar. Might throttle after a while depending on the PL1 or the laptop
Certainly a good question. Honestly one would have to to a double blinded study with many laptops to proof that. But the fans of my laptop actually ran slower when the llano was turned on. So I THINK it SHOULD be fine...
tried maxing out the cooler fan while the laptop is turned-off then imiadately picking it up to check the laptop fans are spinning, and they're not. fortunately
Man how is your 3070 TI boosting to 1400mhz only? Is it 100w version? mine goes to 1800 even with undervolt made. I have a Strix Scar 15 (2022) but with I9.
I have a MSI katana 3050 i7 laptop. Is anybody else who owns a laptop? You know this thing has a really great built-in fan because it gets super hot that you can actually cook on this thing. I play a lot of Apex and it causes my laptop to get so hot. It'll actually burn you if you touch it. Even the keys get hot. My game will be running fine but then when I start shooting my gun or get into a gun fight I get super lag and super choppy and then when I stop shooting my gun it goes back smooth again and it's because my laptop was overheating. I just got this cooler but I got the white one with no extra lights on it for around $80. Since using it I experienced no lag and probably a 30° drop in temperature. Do not second-guess yourself on this laptop guys. The fact that your laptop sits on top of it and creates the seal forcing the air through the bottom vents of this laptop going to be the reason why to buy this model.
I would not suggest doing that. Even if the cooling would be good enough with this cooler, the capacitors on the Mainboard might not be able to handle the extra wattage. It's a risk.
