Not terrible....she's imitating American singers in the style, not perfectly, but passably. As an American who is a connoisseur of the Great American Songbook, I can say that she did this song well enough to be enjoyable. What other purpose is there in music like this?
Nah. She gets a 5+ ... for effort, on pitch, good swing rhythm, and smile !! Hard for a higher-pitched female voice to do this tune justice, imho. Shall we try singing a Slovakian tune well ????? Yeah. No.
Not to be racist... But if you're not a black woman you can't sing this..... Well if you're not a talented black woman.... Well actually only Ella Fitzgerald can sing this sorry
I agree this was at that time out of my vocal range. Written for a male voice, in the first place, and I was too young. I on the other hand strongly disagree - whatever the color of someone`s skin... Oh and not to mention, I had one take to record this. And no monitoring system whatsoever. As a singer and a musician, I cannot sing properly if I can/t hear myself. Hights should be sung with ease, open throat and a feeling of freedom...you cannot go for that feeling if you must scream all the time...
