Thanks for the video. My dad has one of these and he unexpectedly passed away last year. I've been going through everything and learning how to operate all the equipment since he passed. I took it out of the barn about 2 weeks ago and have been working on getting it all hooked up. Could not find the PTO shaft, so had to order one. He also was using it on a quick hitch so he made some custom bracket that worked great on the bigger tractor but not the smaller one. I fabricated a new bracket, got everything hooked up and lubed, and tried it out for the first time this past weekend on a small stretch. It worked great and I'm planning on using it on the yard in a week or two after I run a dedicated dethatcher over everything and before fertilizing this year. We are in NW Florida and the ground gets hard as concrete and I thinking this will help the grass. Your video helped me understand a bit more about it than what the manual covered and gave me a tad more confidence that it won't blow apart by me doing something wrong. I like your comment about how complicated it looked at first because that was my first thought when I saw it last year.

I love seeing those on action. I first saw it on Olee’s yard too, then looked up the company and there here I’m South Georgia home of the red clay lol! No it’s some good folks down there in tifton, they also have smaller versions and even walk behind versions I was very interested in. Great video Mitch 👍🏼

North carolina is basically nothing but hard dry compacted soil. We got a bunch of that red clay crap around ny area of nc

Heck yeah nice informative video thanks so much for sharing. Also quick note that only use uncoated seed as it may cause it to gunk up in the auger and the seed won’t drop evenly. At least that’s my understanding so research that before putting down say Bermuda seed. Can’t wait for more videos.

I broke down the material and fuel cost so I could charge a per square foot rate. You need to figure out your costs then determine the profit margin you want and what works best for your area.
