His death was so unnecessary. It’d be one thing if one of them died trying to get the edge on Makarov but to have it happen during a bomb sequence was lackluster.
I honestly feel like its because how they make out the quality of the games, they really are short but the details are fucking phenomenal, hopefully they take their time with mw4 and stretch out the story🙏🙏
@@TheUnknown19273nope soap had a lame terrible death, it was too sudden and unnecessary. that automatically makes this campaign the worst one, that's just unacceptable
@@CasualCat54no it’s not, their main focus is shitty ass warzone cause it’s the cash cow. multiplayer is second priority to them because they know a lot of people play it to level up their warzone weapons.
@@thedilfofwallstreet5385this. Zombies and MP are being shafted due to WZ. Although, gameplay wise, if you remove SBMM, this is one of the better CODs
Ima say it once more. Cod better give a extension to this campaign. Cause ain’t no one tryna wait till MW4 to continue after ending the campaign like that, also making it that short
makes sense but they should've jus done it as a extension to last years. but they have to release a game every yr so thats prob why they did this huh @@That-Guy-915
@goat_hitman7655 only issue with that is you introduce and kill Soap in the same game not to mention people wouldn't have been thrilled with the MW2 movement with this game
Apparently this was supposed to be dlc but because activision was getting bought out, they forced sledgehammer studios to stretch it into a $70 game😂😂😂
It’s clear so much of this campaign was supposed to be spec ops for MW2. But greedy publishers wanted to charge full price for something after the game started to flop.
I feel like most of the criticism of the campaign wouldn't happen if it wasn't so short. If it was like 8 or 10 hours, more people would probably like it
The game has terrible writing. The series started in trying to establish a more "realistic" storyline, but still fails to do that, because there is nothing realistic about its portrayal of modern warfare. All of your favorite characters keep getting saved by plot armor because they are the biggest selling point. They'll just keep adding more nostalgia baits to add hype, and then execute them in the most anticlimactic way possible. Gameplay went downhill as well. We went from linear missions with great narrative and cinematic action set pieces, to lifeless and lazy "open-combat missions" which literally have the same formula for game modes such as DMZ and Warzone.
@@goestheboom5211 Nope, that's no the case, most of the writing feels dumb, they did absolutely nothing worth it during the whole campaign besides killing Soap and even that they managed to make his death pretty lame, the campaign literally ended abruptly without them accomplishing a thing, 3 hours worth of campaign and you spend most of that time playing boring ass spec ops missions or I should say DMZ missions.
@aznlee2817 I don't get how it's like warzone or dmz just cause you can drive vehicles? Don't think that makes it a extraction shooter or a battle Royale lmao
The reason the campaign is short and worse is because they only had a year to plan it out, Even if they had the money to make it better in a year, They probably had a reason to Save their budget for something bigger, They made MW3 Shorter and worse because it was originally supposed to be a big DLC for MW2
Doubtful they had a year to plan it out, this is Infinity Wards universe, it's basically a movie every time, they write these plots far ahead of time, this was also planned to be DLC the whole time so it was definitely already finished.
Fun fact, this was originally planned as a expansion for mw2 but at some point they decided to make it a full game which is why we got those spec ops like missions, so yes it really is just MW2 dlc
I don’t think this is a “bad campaign” I think they’re just trying to make it too realistic. I miss the spectacle. That’s what made COD famous. The suspension of disbelief when buildings and and planes come crashing down and cars flipping over on the highway, boat chases , bridges collapsing, mass murder at an airport, throwing a knife into someone’s eye in slow motion. The only spectacle we got in this game was half ass “no Russian” scene
Just gonna say it for what it is. Rewatch the MW2 "betrayal" scene. Graves did not fire on Task Force 141. Alejandro attacked Graves which provoked Shadow to open fire. The conflict between the two factions was instigated because of Alejandro.
Yeah, I was like "technically he's right..." when he said he didn't fire upon TF141 and the Mexican SF. They only fired when Alejandro attacked (understandably so) which could be argued as self-defense.
@@Hoodie403Exactly finally more people are also seein it, I hope they don't kill off Graves especially not by TF141 he deserves a more honourable place in this series
Dontai you should play OG COD MW2 (if you haven't already)it was the first cod campaign i ever played and IMO one of the best great intro to the game a good plot and one of most iconic endings to a COD game EVER!
Ik you won’t see this Dontai but Ty for the long uploads I’m taking a T break after 6 yrs of smoking non stop and these longer vids are keeping me busy besides work ❤
how they manage to take one of the most visceral rage driven revenge filled bad ass character deaths of pulling a knife out of your own chest and throwing it into his eye to a desk pop its just hard to understand
Yo Dontai if you want some good FPS games for the channel heres a list i KNOW people will want to see CoD Games: Modern Warfare (2007) Remastered, Modern Warfare 3 (2011), (You already played MW2 (2009) Remastered) World at War, Black Ops, Black Ops 2, Halo Games: (Master Chief Collection on Steam) Halo:Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo Reach DOOM Games: DOOM 2016, DOOM Eternal Bonus game:Titanfall 2 Bonus Bonus Game:Bloodborne (Not FPS but still good) Much love keep up the GOATed work
Took 3 games for someone from task force 141 to die and they did it in the most cheesiest and goofiest way then they killed shepard in a cutscene those writer strikes got movies, games and shows in shambles 😭😭😭😭
Soap isn't dead. He's gonna be revealed to be alive in a Warzone trailer then in MW4 he's gonna make an appearance in the Raids then in MW5 he's gonna be shown again. Just like Alex
Hey Dontai. If you have not played it yet, I suggest you check out the ORIGINAL Call of Duty Modern Warfare lll. (2011) It's a much better Campaign and it's not so short lived.
I gave it a 7/10, I don't hold how short it wa against it considering it was supposed to be a DLC. It was trying something "new" with the open missions and the game would be longer if people were trying to got through them as fast as they can. It's length is on par with that of the older games anyways at 4 hours average, I beat the old MW3 is 3 hours. I think it's cool because it was realistic in terms of how death is handled, instead of making a drawn out moment with emotional music in the background they just show Soap give his best effort to save Price and then a very sudden death and you have to continue to the mission before focusing on him, it's very deep and real in it's own way (although personally I would've like a little bit more emotional focus on his death in that moment, I appreciate the scene after with them letting his ashes go, the small detail especially of Ghost's voice cracking when he says "Johnny," because that was his brother and with how cold hearted he usually is it shows he's still a human and he loves his brothers in arms). The mid-credit scene was beautiful and it shows how Price has gone off the wall sort of, Soap's death pushed him over that edge he was on, he will definitely want to kill Makarov next time he sees him, I believe Gaz will be the level headed one who tries to stop him and let justice do it's own thing because throughout this game Gaz (and Ghost) were the only level headed ones, really shows how good of a villain Makarov is as-well because he made Soap & Price become the opposite of who they usually are. People don't look at the game like this, and I guess I only do because I like to write, but it was a solid expansion on the MWII campaign and there's a lot to look forward to with the Black Ops universe now confirmed or be apart of the Modern Warfare universe, again a solid 7/10 campaign - people just love to follow the hate train from twitter complaining about length.
Now that he finished this I can say that this has to be the shitiest CoD campaign ever, nothing was accomplished and we went back to square 1 but without soap and killing off shepherd for no fukin reason? Wasn't even his fault they wasted both of them
