Making Some Serious Changes To My van Life. Opening a van business and this is the biggest purchase i have ever made
My name is Chrome i have been living in y cargo van for 6 years now. I started this lifestyle BROKE and IN DEBT and after 11 months of living the van life i cleared my debt and started to put my life back together and build for a better future. I have turned my original van into a badass camper van that is lifted with all the toys. Over the years i went from being broke and stealth camping in the city and sleeping at walmarts... to now, living fulltime in a jacked up van and driving deep off-grid into the backcountry and living life in the dirt. WOW LIFE HAS CHANGED.

As a mechanic that has worked in a shop , sand the floor no one wants to crawl underneath a vehicle if the floor feels like sand paper. Second seal the floor, oil antifreeze grease will stain the floors making it nasty looking.

100% agree. Everything will end up with that dust on it. Foot traffic will track the dust everywhere. It needs sanded and sealed.

l`ve been a painter and a floor guy , for more than 34 years, and yes concrete will dust forever. unless you seal it off, l would recomend oxanoil. 2 layers, the first layer you mix 50/50 with white spirit, so that it will go deeper into the concrete, the second layer just pure oxanoil

Concrete will just keep doing that. You could wash it forever and will still have that fine dust. You will have to seal it.

I worked for many years on an unsealed concrete floor. It will NEVER stop producing the dust & grit unless you seal it. The sealant also protects the floor. You are going to be working with all kinds of substances in your new shop. Sealing the floor will make cleaning spills easier as well.

Think about this: if you do NOT seal the floor, it will be all stained in no time and all the smells and discoloration from all those stain-causing ingredients will be there forever. As for having to remove everything, you could do the same thing they do in kitchens and just seal up to the cabinets and as far under as it will conveniently go since most fluids {hopefully} will not be going under there..

Using vegetable oil is recommended if you're trying to remove oil-based paint from your pet's fur. Simply rub the vegetable oil into the fur using fingers until the colored substance starts to fade away. You don't have to worry too much about using vegetable oil because it is a pet-friendly substance

The license plates on the stairs was a great idea and as stated all throughout the comments just seal the floor. I'd pull everything away from the walls and seal that first and then once you put everything back in place do the rest of the shop.

That is the way a cement floor will be nothing will change it unless you paint it. I still got some dirt on mine and my entire floor is painted and the garage is also painted.

Pro tip - keep a spare yellow hose for those middle jacks on hand, especially once its a couple years old or so. Having those center jacks down for a few days is a nuisance and i found those coil hoses to be the most commonly replaced part.

Chrome, those steps are going to be hazardous in wet weather. Need to put sanded paint strips or something gripable when wet. Perhaps an absorbing rug at the bottom of the stairs 🤔

Everyone knows about concrete dust. Just seal it. If you want to add mats in certain areas, no prob. But don’t put epoxy on it. Pebble or otherwise. No paint. Nobody does that in a real garage. It will look like crap from dropping and dragging. Just seal it and protect everyone and Cruze from respiratory problems and ensure ease of cleaning.

Raw concrete will take a stain, any oil spills will be perminate. Grease, anti freeze ect.

Two suggestions for the floor: 1) a poured epoxy sealer. Sometimes used with flake chips of your choice. Or 2) Linoleum just in that section.

When that fan is on auto mode, there is a green light. When it's on manual mode there is no light and the fan just spins and opens. To turn off auto just press off until there's no light. But it beeping says there's another problem and just hit up their support to figure out what that beeping means and what needs fixing. I've seen some people unknowing put waterproofing over the water sensor, there was a bad batch of fans you might have and the newest versions have the circuit board sealed which I suspect you are on the older one. The newest versions have a like plus sticker on the black wire.

Omg so glad I didn't go with that complicated fan and auto struggle. Working on my ceiling hole, a struggle. Jigsaw blade was not long enuf and now it is raining. My ceiling fan solution is simple. Can't wait to get hot air exit done. I can see how a ceiling fan is huge.

Your fan remote isn't water resistant. Did you drop coffee or water on it or dunk it in Cruz's water bowl lol. If it got water on the board it will trnasmit whenever and whatever it wants.
