Very interesting interview, thank you. We didn't understand, why they decided to return to CSA if earlier that was what they quited. We believe they will organize new CSA in different way, so they will not invite customers into their plot for picking veggies (they have no time for, as they lighted in the begining)? But then it's not full CSA. Or perhaps they just want to invite customers after becoming stronger, so that not to be forced to rely on the CSA members? And so perhaps they just want to gain new friendly customers who will gather for "gardening" seeing them succesful? It can be a clue for small scale farmers to invert CSA afrer having become commwrcially strong, but wonder, what CSA practisers would say. In Poland it doesnt work well, as they said, clients have no time, also no understanding for sustainable agriculture, they only declare proecological atitude, but when it comes to buying they expect commercial visual quality (even, "pretty") and stable supply, they don't accept weather or soil problems. So, can you please explain their CSA loop, if you know, please?:) Thanks in advance for all your interesting feeds! Greetings from Poland ❤️🇵🇱
Thanks for your comment! From what I understand, their first CSA was a "Self-Harvest CSA" where the customers must come to the farm and harvest the produce themselves. I believe Gosse and Sjoukje found that most people didn't have time to come harvest their own produce, so they switched to a CSA model where Gosse and Sjoukje harvest the produce, package it, and deliver it to customers (likely at central drop off points where the customers meet them) If you have more questions I suggest you message them directly through their instagram page (link in description). All the best to you in Poland!
