Today, I decided to look up Detroit on Google Maps. Some streets had rows of only abandoned houses, some were houses completely covered by bushes, and some streets looked like ghost towns. Sad but interesting.
I remember that one(i once had a friend in detroit...began as a letter exchange for a school partnership.later in 2019 he was shot while being robbed, i visited him only 4 times)...i am suprised it's still standing. The foundation was botched, causing the whole house to sack around 8cm,destroying the plumbing which lead to an cockroach infestation that seem to never gotten away...i miss him...Jonathan didn't deserve this...

The city did have a problem where u could buy these homes for a $1 just as long as u fixed them up. Idk If their still doing it or not? I moved from Detroit back down south.
Yes my boyfriend is from Detroit moved here 20+years ago and one of his friends from Detroit brought his house for 3 or 4 thousand dollars down there but he had 2 do alot of work on it
Imagine a person walks in front of the house and stare at it for a few seconds and starts saluting and some strangers decided to join until it's a full on army of people saluting the house's abandon
It's sad that most houses in Detroit end up like this. I've tried looking up my ancestors past houses that were from Detroit and address don't come up because they're just empty lots now.
Heres a suggestion i think you will like: 1720 Galvin rd s, bellevue, ne. Abandoned gas station. Across the street 3 homes were torn down to make way for a cvs.

The Southside of Detroit is called Windsor Ontario, Canada. Look at a map. Canada is south of Detroit. The part of Detroit past downtown going toward Ohio is called Downriver.
Umm, southwest Detroit comes before downriver...whether you're going out Fort St., Michigan Ave. or Grand River, there's a lot of Detroit before the suburbs...

We're splitting hairs here...born & raised here, been in Detroit every year except 1 of my 51 (came back)... That's so sad seeing the houses like I hope that one day places like this all over the country will rebound one-day and get back to how they used to be
