As a child, I suffered from very painful, dry, cracked finger tips and sometimes feet. My Mom would have me rub olive oil on and then Vaseline and wear thin Merino wool gloves and socks overnight. It always worked. She would also make sure I was drinking lots of water. As an adult, I still do this when it happens to me especially in winter. I swap the olive oil with coconut oil too. 🙏Praying you'll find the remedy that works for you.

My sister had something very similar. She occasionally has to work out of town and when she would be sent to Saint Simons Island, she would start having this peeling and burning on both hands. She works in the food service industry, training, so she's not coming in contact with anything different. She finally decided to all but stop going back there because they couldn't figure out what the cause was!!! I wish you better luck than she's had! 😢

I had something similar…I went to a dermatologist and was diagnosed with severe skin allergies to 2 different things! I had no skin issues up until then and was diagnosed around 18-20 years old….might be worth a trip to the doctor to see what is causing it, but I had the same type of peeling itchy skin then it would feel and look like a burn. It was baaaaad! But the good news was, I figured out what caused it avoided it and a course of oral steroids made my skin go back to normal in about a week! ❤ Best wishes you get it resolved!

Something similar happened to me randomly this summer! I painted my basement and used a garden glove because the prolonged pressure from the handle hurt. Within a few days, I had this HORRIBLE reaction on my hand. I wish I could put a picture on here and show you, but my entire hand itched & burned like mad. It was eventually covered in small pustules (like poison ivy). My derm prescribed an oral & topical steorid. Cleared it up within a week. It was so miserable until then & I couldn't figure out what it was and why it came on so suddenly. Then I remembered the gloves. The derm said it must have been a reaction to something in the gloves

It could be from school the chemicals - cleaners the janitor uses to whip the top of the desks. The schools usually spray some kind of bug pesticides. Pip wants some attention so cute. Maybe you could also see your regular Doctor get blood work done also. Change of laundry soap, dish soap, body wash, floor cleaners, house cleaning supplies just a few suggestions. Thank you for sharing.

This happened to my son during covid. He worked at a coffee shop and he was washing his hands constantly plus wearing gloves . The dermatologist told him to not use the gloves. The gloves were causing moisture to build up and it was making his hands so incredibly itchy, scaly and cracked. They would bleed at night. The medicine cleared it up rather quickly. BUT he had to change up his cleaning/glove routine.

I am wondering if a plant based diet and using plant based products would help. When I became vegan, my body and world changed. I am sensitive to traditional soap. I only use vegan products. My late mother was a teacher. She had a reaction to chalk. She used a special chalk holder or created sentence strips with ink markers. She would also use ink markers on large sheets of paper. My Mother passed away unexpectedly last December. I offer you my condolences. I admire you can keep teaching with your loss of your Mom. I am also diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder. I am happy you are receiving ongoing support.

my husband was diagnosed years ago with anxiety and panic disorder, which he gave up meds after about 2 years on them, he says staying busy and keeping his mind busy works for him. About 2.5 years ago, he started having painful cracking and peeling on his hands, nothing dr prescribed, worked, steroid creams, etc. Finally, after dealing with it for a year, he was able to get in to see a dermatologist, and they said it was eczema he has been on dupixent for over a year now, it has worked for him. A part of me thinks it could be stress and stress can cause eczema. I hope you are able to figure out yours and get it controlled 🙏

Try, Beekman 1802 Goat Milk Pure Soap and Lotions, avoid fragrances, Parabens and Sulfates, even in your hair products, when you wipe down things at home or in the school wash your hands right away. Also, maybe try Gold Bond or a generic of Gold Bond Hand cream, and even cover your hands at night with cotton gloves. Avoid those hand dryers too if the school has them. Yes reach out to your Dermatologist and let them know it is flaring up again, they may want to look at it during this time too.

Did they change the cleaning products at school? One time, we had a new custodian who mistakenly cleaned the radiators with the wrong fluid. We all had different reactions - I got all stuffed up, one person had numb lips, another a rash, and another bad headaches. Ask what chemicals are used to clean all the spaces you’ve been in. I’ll bet you find it’s something you’re allergic to.

To me it sounds what we would call hairdresses eczema. (prone to people that work a lot with water and or chemicals or in your case wash your hands alot, not only hairdressers) It may be a combination of more factors. Maybe due to stress you wash your hands more. This makes your skin thin to the point bacteria and chemicals can penetrate way more easily which can break your skin open like that. Schools are known to house a lot of those so that environment may trigger it when your skin is already thin.

❤I had stressed reaktion allergy on my whole body and Im allergic to latex. Im also have reaktions with the Powder that are in some glowes. I also have allergy to most glue that are on bandage. So if I put a bandage on a wound the glue will make the wound even bigger.❤ I think its stress relatet, remember our skin is the biggest cleaning organ. Something else to think about. We use our hands to grabe on to life with, so when we are in overwhelming situations, that are stressfull and that makes it difficult to “hold on” to our daily life it can show up in situations like that. The backside of our body represent our past. So emotions of caos or feelings from the past of difficulties with holding on to ourselves ,can get triggert from something in our daily life. I know it hurts so bad. My advice to you is try to write down daily how your day have been. And look for pattern the days when it get worse. What happend that day. Because the mental factor, that your body is trying to tell you something. Both mental state of mind and the body is not 2 mashines, that works on diffrent parts of the body.. it might be 2 mashines, but they work together as a whole. So mental and psycical works close together. I would make a handbath with some epsom salt, himalyan salt or seasalt. You dont have to use much and disolve tha salt in some hot water and let it cool down to bodytemperature. And sit with your hands in the salt water for 2-5 minutes. You can ad 3-5 drops of teetree oil in the bath water. Do it in the eveningtime were you can relax. After the salt bath I would use some scentfree cocanutt oile or castor oil The salt drags moister down to the wounds from the sourunding skin Teatree oil descinfeckt the areier and kills backteria and more. The oils moist the skin with both moist and fatt Im so sad my english is so bad but I hope you can understand what Ive written. I send you so much compassion, kindness and ton of love to you and your loved ones 🤗🤲🏼💖💗💕💗💖🥰😍🥰😍🥰😍🥰😍🥰😍💖💗💕💖💗💕💖💗💕🌸🌿🌸🌿🌸🕊

@@lindahansen9413 There are bandaids on the market for those allergic to adhesive. When I wear a bandaid for too long, I get itchy and a rash. I have not tried these special bandaids. I saw them selling on Amazon. Maybe your pharmacist knows about them. Taking a bath in Dead Sea salt makes my skin soft and smooth. My skin can get dry. I am wondering if my medication is contributing to this. Psychiatric medications can cause dry mouth.

as you were describing this, i kept saying "yeah, she's reacting to stress". then you said it. i had a period of extreme stress where i would just hiccup. any time i got over stressed, i would just hiccup like crazy. it just made my body more stressed, but other than that, it was a joke with the family. i have a fear of bridges and my father in law drove over one that was unexpected (we were in a new area) and he just took his time getting over it while i was hiccuping so much and crying. he thought it was funny, but he always did try to yank my chain. then one day it just stopped. i'm not really sure how i got control of my stress other than learning to put more faith and trust in God. not sure if that's your thing or not, but that's what has helped me a lot for years now. i hope you get it figured out.

I’ve struggled with a skin irritation since 2020 from all the hand sanitizer I used in my classroom both before the shut down and after the reopening of school. My dermatologist called it water based eczema. I’ve had to watch everything I put on my skin, especially my hands. If it flairs up, it’s extremely painful and itchy. I have found Pears soap (from DT) works great. Also, I use Nivea intense healing lotion every day. I have to keep a careful eye on what soaps are offered at school because they tend to flat it up again. I’ve been known to pack my own soap. Lol

My grandson’s pediatrician saw my hand on day and asked what I was using, she suggested Cera Ve lotion and it worked! I was SO happy! My hands (mostly my R hand) were had been peeling for 3 years. I would wash my hands well before bed rub coconut oil on them, then Cera Ve and wear the little cotton gloves you can get in the personal care section of the grocery story. It could be so many things. I have a skin sensitivity to baking soda (as well as Lavender essential oil from overexposure) and I get a chemical burn and peeling hands if I use it to clean and forget to wear gloves. Overexposure to almost anything can cause an allergic response to develop. For example, another RU-vidr named Brianne Walter cleans homes for a living and developed a terrible reaction to polyester on her hands from using microfiber cloths. I know someone else with a latex allergy which also makes her allergic to avocados. Stress could very well be a factor too because it wreaks havoc on the immune system, sometimes causing it to attack parts of your own body. It could even be an environmental factor inside the school, like if the air is noticeably drier or if there's a possible mold issue. I hope you're able to pinpoint the cause(s) soon!

I'm not going to act like I know what's going on with your skin, because I don't know for sure, but as I've aged and with moments of stress I've noticed skin changes and issues in myself. I've been to Drs and dermatologists about stuff, and honestly, the thing that has helped me the most was seeing a naturopath. They really looked at my overall health picture, and they were able to assess issues and changes, what vitamins I was getting, dietary stuff, and what products to use on my skin. The vitamin thing helped me a lot, but if it's available to you, you may want to look into at least trying a holistic approach to the hands issue. I hope you figure it out, and it gets better. It sounds painful! I'm sorry you're going through that! 💖

Keep an activity journal for a couple weeks. Look for patterns and correlations between your activities (what you do with your hands) and the condition of the skin on your hands. My *totally* uneducated guess is that you're coming into fairly constant contact with something that doesn't agree with you. It could be a soap or personal care product, a laundry product (detergent, fabric softener, etc) an art supply (paint? glue? etc etc or even fabric that may have sizing or fragrance or something on it). I'm sure you've been wracking your brain trying to discover the culprit. a journal may help pin it down. It could also be a food allergy. I know from experience gluten does weird things to people who're sensitive. You might try talking to your GP or allergist about an elimination diet. I think he'd have you start by eliminating "the big 8" common food allergens from your diet for a stretch of time and then putting them back one by one. Good luck on your hunt to figure this out! I'm a recent subscriber and am enjoying watching your videos. My condolences on the loss of your mom.

Do you get pus under the dry skin? It sounds like you may have Palmo Pustulosis. There is a woman with a case of it on the TLC youtube channel. It is an autoimmune disease.
