Blue Thunder is a classic movie, not a horror movie though. It's about the use of an attack helicopter for crowd control and surveillance created by corrupt individuals for bad reasons. In the same vein as Airwolf, with turbine boost for extra power, whisper mode for stealthy shenanigans and all kinds of surveillance equipment, it was released in the 80's.

If I had space for a VHS player in my room, I’d get more tapes. There’s stuff that’s so obscure, it isn’t even out on streaming services, much less DVD. I found the first 2 Terminator and Spider-Man movies as twin pack box sets on VHS for about $2 each, and they’re on my shelf for display purposes only.

FYI the movie in the Arkham Origins CE was also released at retail, at least BB & Amazon, on the same day. That’s how I own the movie b/c I couldn’t afford the CE as I was saving up for the PS4 which released the following month.

Normally you guys feature things that I've never owned but this episode was totally different, I've had that same x-arcade controller, recently bought the Arkham Origins special edition and own a bunch of the laser discs that you guys picked up as well! Threw me off cause I could just look over at my shelf and see them while watching you guys appreciate the items! Pretty cool

You talk about McCartney, but you need to check out the Beatles on mono sound. It was actually on the Parlophone label. The Beatles worked to get the mono mix just perfect, while the stereo mix was usually put together quickly.

I kid you not, I just got a LaserDisc player TODAY for only $40... (I live in Canada, so that would be even LESS over there.) That LaserDisc segment got me all pumped to one day get some movies on LaserDisc of my own. Great video as always! 😊

Awesome episode! I gotta funny story about one of the vhs tapes you found. It was the little mermaid one you see for a second. I was in public school in like 1998 and its a rain day so the entire school is sitting in the gym for lunch to watch a movie and the teachers decide to throw that tape on when what feels like 5 minutes go by and the entire school is treated to the sight of cartoon mermaid boobies. The whole school erupts in laughter and shock as 3 teachers run to the projector to turn if off. Good times!

Blue Thunder is not a horror movie! But it is a very underappreciated movie from 1983 about "the man" using technology (in this case a souped up helicopter) to surveil ordinary citizens totally violating their civil rights. My second favorite Roy Scheider movie after Jaws.
