I read an article about the Japanese school system. The reason why the people of Japan are so nice is because in their first and second grade curriculum they have a heavy emphasis on teaching manners and respect. Honor and respect are very important to them.I think that's awesome. They need to include that in America's curriculum.

In my city they have a program called nakayoshi (friendly) and the 6th graders do activities with the 1st graders during class once a month. They will play together and the 6th graders will take care and help the little ones.

Mr.Solo’s message at the end of his Japan vlog was very touching. I got teary eyed. Japanese people are very honest and respectful, but also extremely reserved. They will probably help you if you ask, but not otherwise. I was so nicely surprised every time I went to Korea because people would always offer to help at stations, in the streets, everywhere.

Solo is right, very few garbage cans in the streets of Japan. A friend who lives there told us the Japanese take responsibility for any trash they create and take it home with them for disposal. They do not leave trash for someone else to pick up.

It's awesome to see your sister in law enjoying the snow like that. Sometimes we never think about other countries being so different in regards to what we see in our country and what they see in their country. She looks like she is really enjoying it and so do you. It must be nice to have family from another country, I don't even know anyone from another country lol. I would really love to go to another one but will never be able to. I love your videos because you show us what other Countries are like and how other people live. It is so informative and just awesome to see that we are all alike and believe in God. God bless you all and may your holidays be filled with love and God's peace.

I remember trash bins were more common when I arrived in Japan 25 years ago. I have never seen a trash bin in the middle of the city, but the convenience stores had bins outside. Now most of them are inside of the stores. There are less trash bins in train stations too. I have a feeling they started to be removed in the past 15 years or so.
@Aiko2-26-9
@Aiko2-26-9 Год назад
They used to be everywhere until Aum Shinrikyo put poisonous gas in the subways in 1995. Almost all bins disappeared after that.
@bolida
@bolida Год назад
About Solo’s comment on the lack of trash cans - I’ve noticed the same as I’ve traveled to a few countries in North America and Europe. The countries with smaller/harder to find trash cans were cleaner than those with huge cans like here in the States. I find that to be true of cities within the States as well. My theory is that the lack of cans means no trash is blowing all over

Try a mitten/glove snap to the coats of the littles. No more lost or missing gloves! Bet amazon sells them. When we were small my mom tied yarn and threaded it to the gloves and ran through the coat sleeve. Possibly couldn't find or afford them for 6 small children. We never had lost mittens. As for socks we were given a penny for socks that were together in the wash. We were taught to tuck them together. We saved the pennies and spent on penny candy.

I bought a pack of silicone oven liner things, it was like 4 for 12 or 15 dollars. You can cut to size, put in the bottom of a clean oven, and if something spills, you just pull it out and wipe it off/wash it in the sink and put it back. Lined the bottom of my toaster oven as well as my regular oven....now that I think about it, I could probably line drawers with the other 2 or donate them, but the 4 pack was cheaper than the 2 pack when I bought them. Lol. Cheap, easy, and might save your Mom some work when she visits.... When mine was with us, she always caught up my dishes. :)

Need to get a symphony by Bissell. It vacuums small stuff and steam cleans as and sanitizes the floors all at once. Plus it dries in about a minute so less chance of people walking on it wet. Just fill with water, and go. It would probably do your floors in one go. I bought 6 extra cloths, they're super easy to change. I would be lost without it. It would work great on both houses floors. I got when my grandbaby was born, no chemicals on the floor.

Not sure if someone posted this already. Solo, the trash (recycle) bins are usually located next to the vending machines(and convivence stores). A local resident explained something along the lines of making the trash creator (vendor and customer) responsible for proper waste disposal. You'll often find the separate recycle options on the side of the machines or lined up near by. From my understanding the rules are a little different in the small residential areas, but the higher populated areas definitely had disposal options near by.

Please keep the children away from the ice it’s definitely not ready yet and Any accidents happen, when you feel it’s ready give it another few days to stand on the ice. You desperately don’t want an accident in that lake, please put the fear in your children it’s really imperative and very crucial that they know how dangerous it is. It may feel hard but across the lake there may be a fracture in the ice and the weight of your body can cause a chain reaction just like a window glass shattering please be very careful. It’s a beautiful addition to your lives but please don’t let it take a life. Please let the little children know and the big children that ice is not forgiving and cold is not forgiving. Be safe!

Yes I know you’re a great mother and a great family, but being careful is not enough when it comes to small children. Small children and even teenagers think they’re invincible and nothing and no harm can come to them. Please make very strict rules. I can’t stress this enough don’t mean to scare you or to make you feel that you’re an apt or cannot govern your children, I’m just saying you have to have a third eye for them, When it comes to the pond. Just a caring fan who doesn’t want to see any harm come to your family! I know you have a pool and you think you’re safe because the kids understand the rules there, but when it comes to a pond or lake or any body of water that is outdoors there are too many variables that can happen. Remember there’s no cover on your body of water. Ironically I would put alarms on all your doors, so that you know The childrenare coming and going.

It was painful watching you struggle with that mop system. I highly recommend investing in a steam mop. I have been using only steam to clean my floors for over ten years and I would never go back. It is safe on hardwood.

Omg the oven fire always keep baking soda in a bowl by the stove. Pour it on the fire . Baking soda will put out most fires ... Never use water especially on a grease fire... It will make it burn worse...

I grew up in Omaha. No thank you to the snow. In Arizona now.Thankfully my Dad transfer the family here years ago. He was tired of snow also and driving in it mostly is why.
