I feel like this week was hectic for EVERYONE. My entire team had a rough week in first grade. I'm not sure what it was this week, but it was just crazy. Try to relax and renew this weekend :) I would love a Trasketball review template!!! My kiddos would loooooove it.

Is there an official “re-do” policy for your school or your district? If not, you may want to consider only allowing re-dos in a short (maybe 3 day window) after the original assignment. This will benefit the children by helping them learn not to procrastinate and will you by limiting make up grading at the end of the grading period.

a tip: instead of printing out new seating charts my team teachers and I use page protectors and vis-a-vis markers, so when it comes to making a new chart all we do is take a wet cloth and erase the names and start all over.

it's crazy to think that if the students miss the notes that the teacher gives them the notes. super nice of you to do don't get me wrong but man I wish it was like that when I was in school. kids are getting handed the info these days.

Positively Pre-K They're expected to do way more than when we were in school. My kindergartener by the end of the year has to be able to read a book, explain why certain things happened in the book, find it in the story to show the teacher, and then be able to write it in a grammatically correct sentence.

oh I completely understand that things have changed. I taught kindergarten for many many years but giving students notes? typing up something for them instead of giving it back to them for them to turn it in correctly just makes me so sad! how are they supposed to learn to do things the right way if we don't teach them now?

Maybe I am crazy, but I feel better when others are going through the same struggles I am (I don't feel so alone). I relate to you more when you "vent", that's why I started watching your videos last year. You were being REAL and not all sunshine and rainbows.

Just a suggestion- when you give them the mints, tell them that they where “mint to do well” I’m in seventh grade and my math teacher does that every time and everyone loves it!

play pac-man in the classroom, have the students stand around the room and ask questions. have them put their hands up and pick someone to answer the question. if they get it right they can move one step. the goal is to move around the room and ‘tag’ all the other students top couple of students win prizes

I can relate to the end of marking period stress. I teach High school ESL in France and I have 6 groups of 20 to 34 studentd so writing reports and finishing all of the grading tends to get crazy. Thank you for being real and talking about your stress and tiredness because it helps me feeling normal.

OMG we have a .99¢ only store here and that same basketball trash can is only $1.99 ... when I saw your game I was thinking "OMG I'M GONNA SEND HER THAT TRASH CAN!" and then when you showed you bought it I was like NO!!! LOL ... By the way I love your videos. I am not a teacher but I homeschool my daughter and I love watching your videos. You are so amazing for all that you do for your students... I feel overwhelmed with just my one and she is mine ... I can only imagine you having to teach over 60 students AND having to deal with that many different parents. CRYSTAL 헤온 The only thing is, those videos take VERY long to film and prepare, since she has to write A LOT of information down. Since Michelle already has to edit 6 hours of footage every week and do all of her work, I think that what she is doing already is amazing, so we shouldn’t ask her to do extra videos that would mentally break her down.

Crystal Cult follower? I wasn’t really “defending” her, I was just pointing out that it might be hard since she has a full time job. She herself has said in many vlogs that sit-down videos take her an entire day to film and prepare. Even so, if I was defending her, I wouldn’t be a “cult follower”. I would just be a caring person who was worried that she might overwork herself. I’m sorry if you feel differently.

Get some premier protein (from Costco) they have 30g of protein with minimal sugar and its ore-mixed ready to go, mix it with your Starbucks coffee and add some ice! So good!

Hello, love watching your teacher vlogs, I were just wondering, in England where I am from we have something called Ofsted, which stands for Office FOr Standards in Education which is owned by the government which inspect Nurseries, and Schools/Colleges which then they are graded from 1-4 1 being outstanding and 4 being inadequate , For things like teaching and learning, behaviour etc cleanliness, development. do you have anything like that in America where you are inspected? Ps. I am a nursery practitioner, working with 2-3 year olds!
