2015 Pre Brexit Britain: "The Polish, Romanians, Bulgarians, Italians, Spanish and Portuguese are stealing our jobs. We should stop all cooperation with the EU and control our borders since its killing our business" Brexit Britain 2019-2021: Massive worker shortage in all industries (Agriculture, hospitality, healthcare and construction) because all the skilled migrants had left. UK citizens were given a chance to fill the roles that are left vacant since training and licenses (such as HGVs) were provided. Only a minority had taken up the on the job offer. Post Brexit Britain 2022 - Now: "South Asians are stealing our jobs and bringing in their wife" Somethings never change. The blatant xenophobia is killing the UK economy, industries and universities (especially now that Erasmus is gone). The message is very clear to migrants and international students. The UK only wants your visa and spending money and do not want to offer you any work opportunities or career progression in return.
You can blame greedy corporates who rather employ people that will work for nothing yet then price out the British of work that are just trying to survive in their own overpriced quality of living. So are we going to tell our kids you will never own a home or even be lucky to get a council property. Shame on these people that are so against the British.
The British people have been very long suffering regarding immigration. (It started in 1948) Long suffering is defined as enduring patience. It is not a weakness but proves our tolerance. Sadly, immigrants and UK Governments, past and present, have learnt to take advantage of that tolerance. The British people's concerns regarding mass, uncontrolled immigration have been ignored. It is UK Government who are so obsessed with the economy. What is the big deal about being the best? I'd rather UK be a poorer country than endure any more immigration. What is wrong with that?
I'm from South Korea. I visited UK in 1992 and recentky in 2024. I am shocked how un-british London and Birmingham feels and how both cities feel rundown in many areas. I also noticed a lot more immigrants then native English.
@@Jackie-ji2sj😂😂 safe it’s never been safe ,not even when we got rid of gun shops remember that? You remember Chelsea smilers😂 I’m old school nowhere is safe
People are afraid to come. I don’t feel safe to visit London, as a white law abiding English man, I feel threatened. Why would anyone else visit? Why would they want to live here with all of the headlines being published worldwide? Certainly British people will raise themselves, as required. They always have done. However they may be less inclined to do so with the people who sit in power currently. Without any disrespect to the worked in the NHS we have had in recent years, I have been pleased to have survived 2 life saving operations in recent times. One concern and frustration I experienced, was the fact that I could not clearly understand what the staff were trying make me understand. Fortunately it was not critical in my circumstances, however I could imagine other circumstances where it might not have been so easy going. Being from abroad and speaking a foreign tongue may not be a problem, however being understood and to understand is an important part of medicine.
The proportion of immigrants coming to the uk for jobs is absolutely tiny - something like 15%. The vast majority are students and dependents who then go on to live permanently in the UK. The media focuses on doctors and nurses but these are a really tiny proportion of that 15%.
Those countries are also tightening their immigration laws and scapegoating foreigners for their local problems. Until African governments learn to invest in their educated professionals, they will be headed for this difficult life where you fly to places that need you, but don't want you.
hmmm, You see the violence against immigrats that happened in July. A lot of people that submitted their visa might not resume. Also, January 2025 will determine a lot in their immigration level.
I think its fair. They had to not overwhelm the system. And what country doesn’t want to equip its citizens to be self sufficient. The problem with most of us immigrants is we never want to take our skills back. We reap from our countries then settle permanently overseas . How are things ever going to get better for our countries back home?
Sometimes, I don't understand whyt people (leadership/politicians). They make it 'difficult' for their own people to enter certain professions, only to import same professionals from developing countries (that likely attained the training at a cheaper cost). Politicians tend to not do right by their own people, then turn around and make it a political issue for votes. I'm confused.... And to answer your qtn about taking/keeping our skills back home, I think that's likely because we were equipped with the wrong skills to a large extent. Our educations system is not contextual.
@gh_blaqsoap2846 most Africans are not loyal to their mother land. They like to settle abroad where they have it easily and they refuse to come back home to help their country.
@tasibho what you mean we don't wanna take our skills back home? Do you think if we had a great job with very good deserving salaries,we would be moving out? Even the available jobs back home are given to politician's children. Bro!!!
@@gabbyanaman2596 that may be true but we cant all go overseas . There is no place without corruption. Thats not a solution . Your are sowing into other countries and making them richer while africa remains poorer. Charity begins at home. If you dont take care of your own backyard because it has weeds and go and clean your neighbours backyard how is that a solution?… and even they are chasing you out slowly now. All these immigration policy changes are going one way if you pay attention.
A lot of disabled people have only African carers and it's stressful for them. They need English carers, not people from other continents who speak a different language, it's hard for them to connect. Would disabled African people be happy to be cared for by people who they can't understand?
Poor pay, the companies can get away with it and undercut the English workers. Most carers have always been English through, in places without a lot of mmigration it's still mostly English carers
but careers do speak English. Sure they do have a different accent but still... of course if the disabled people dont like it they are more than welcome to pay for the English carers by themselves
They should be happy, but the student decline will cost the country, especially all those putting up student accommodation facilities. On a good note, care workers will now have a bargaining point to improve their working terms 😍
lets go to the airport now and see how many foreigners are still making it to and people still struggling and wanting to come....it can never happen...people can't stop coming to the UK
Over the years, the UK was a great place to visit and enjoy yourselves. Unfortunately nowadays, after people visited, word gets across of a fantasy of 'How much better it would be to live in the UK' all based on the good time they had. Reality kicks in when people realises that it is very different the longer you stay in one country and it goes downhill when you find out the dark side of the UK or whatever country you go too. Never trust anyone who just visited a country when they could leave out the bad stuff about it.
Hello Nanelle, i applied for standard visitors visa on 29th August 2024. And just today I received my passport yesterday without vignette or stamp in it 🤦🏼♂️. But I’ve not received any refusal letter too from them since yesterday being the 15 working days . Any help on that ?
Hello Nanelle thank for all your videos, really helpful I don't know if my eyes is bad, however it seems u have been out of camera focus between this post and the last If that is not the case, I guess it is time for that eye check up 😅
Good afternoon ma’am. Please I’m kinda getting this whole gist mixed up. Are nurses not allowed to bring their dependent or what? Because I’ve heard you mention this again. Though I asked you this same question some times ago, so please could you clarify me on that;thank you 🙌🙏
@@ekechinnenna543 You do not seem to be ready or qualified to live and work in the UK if you can't understand the difference between care workers (healthcare assistants), nurses and social workers.
Will someone please explain to me why or how if s person decides to move away to WORK or STUDY they need to bring their family. It is alien concept to me.
The study part really perplexes me! A genuine student’s main priority is studying and returning to their country of origin. The kind of students we have in the this era move with their families and some shockingly conceive children whilst pursuing their degree programmes. The majority of these “students” are very mature adults.
Let us endeavour to surrender ourselves to Gods plan for our lives. By doing this we will find strength and success in this life and in the life to come. 🙏 🙏
Thank you so much momma. I have been waiting for your upload. If my Ielts and cbt expires I won’t forgive Uk after everything I spent and went through. It is well oh
I don’t think this is true somehow, but if it is thank goodness. We need a break so we can sort out the mess that mass migration has caused. I still think population will rise by tens of thousands though when counted at the year end.
Hello, I do not work because of my wife’s permanent illness, and I am on a 5-year visa. Does this affect the permanent residency, and does it change from a 5-year visa to a 10-year visa because I do not work? Thank you.
The people have not stopped coming to the UK. They simply are finding it difficult to come to the uk because it has become more difficult. The government is rather achieving their expectation.
We are telling them not to do any application as for now. they don’t listen they think we are malicious . But I know some who got genuine COs and Uk gave them interviews which used not to be the case and guess what all where denied bse some could not relate or even speak English all were denied . And so these people don’t listen..
How does someone without English comprehension skills get a “genuine” COS? A prerequisite for a COS is an offer of employment, which would require an interview process before hand, which would have been conducted in English.
@@pao_2031 Remember before all this Uk embassies never conducted any interviews and so many came in bse of that No interview but now they do Interviews for every skilled work visa? So they discovered they don’t speak English wel.
@@sharonmusiimenta8616 UK embassies do conduct interviews. You probably mean visa application centres like TLS and VFS where people drop documents and wait.

@@kemisolaolaleye-4763Majority of British people do work. I work 12 hour shifts. I work with foreign nationals who take many sick days. I do not find them more hard working than British people and they soon cotton on to the UK benefit system and all start dropping sprogs so they can claim maternity leave benefit and child benefit.
@@SonsofThunder1234 This is so farfetched. I don't know where you come up with this but where I work and confirmed by the most, Foreign nationals work way more than locals. My company can't survive without the foreigners. The locals are so taken aback by the amount of hours we put in as compared to theirs. They are the ones always calling in sick. So get your facts right. You don't need to lie just cause you want to prove a point. The UK can't survive without us. PERIOD.
I have been hearing that stupid line since i left school in 1974 😅 IT IS NOT TRUE 😮 Successive governments have always looked abroad for certain sectors of employment because they did not want to maintain the excellent & costly training systems, for instance, Nursing. So many sectors watered down training & wanted to hire from abroad because it cost them a lot less money to do so!! Even in the good times, .gov’s have depleted the resources of many our industries…the last Tory .gov left everything bankrupted except their own pockets❗️ it’s all about corruption & blaming the working classes for everything! 🤔

@@jpw6893 Lol. Good luck getting Labour (or Tories if they ever get back to power) to come up with a solid plan for increasing the number of British-trained professionals in health or any other sector. Problem with you lot is you'd rather let politicians fill your ears with whatever lies you want to hear than face the reality on ground.
If it is factual that people have stopped coming to the UK, then it is indeed good news. The authorities should not, under any circumstances, grant infinite leave to remain or citizenship to anyone who entered the country 18+ years of age.
Students not being able to bring dependents & care workers not being able to bring dependents are the cause of this. I guarantee things will change as most people actually think it's not good now lol
@@jpw6893most bring their partners actually. Their partners work and pay taxes thereby contributing to the UK economy. Contrary to popular belief they are not entitled to public funds (including benefits) and this is clearly stated on their visa vignettes and residence permits.
@@jpw6893 you seem to have comprehension problems. Look up your own government statistics on dependent visas and it will be no different from what I’ve said. The problem is you right wingers want to live in some fantasy land where the truth is whatever strange claims you cooked up in your minds.
@@pao_2031 You're correct on your comment. On another point, UK government do not really want to stop immigration, they are just playing to their electorates. If they really want to stop it, they can allow people to come their dependents (including their grandma etc.) on a "Working Visa". However, any time spent on a working visa should not count towards Right to Remain or permanent resident (this is the loophole that is conveniently being ignored). This is what middle eastern countries do and they are successful at controlling immigration in their country. Most British and American expats that have worked in places like Saudi Arabia know this.
