Rather than address the issues Arise/Thisday Board of Editors had raised Dele Alake and Bayo Onanuga chose the subterfuge and mudslinging against Nduka Obaigbena, Dr. Reuben Abati and Rufai Oseni. Well, Nigerians are no fools and will respond decisively with their votes on Feb 25, 2023 to lay this matter to eternal rest.

This is the type of investigative journalism I wished and craved to see in Nigeria. Arise TV, and Mr David kudos. Everything APC benefited from in 2014 is Haram today. A knife freak usually don't allow knife behind him. Poverty and ignorance have taken so much toll on us that we welcome anything as long as we have a meal of it. They want to create an unfriendly environment for journalists with genuine interest of the people. If the likes of Femi Adesina could not find it necessary to advise on Press freedom, then there is bigger problem than we think. Arise TV team, keep winning. Keep telling us the truth.

Alake and Bayo has had a very dubious and questionable character whenever they are responding to interviews. It's unfortunate how they have chosen to humiliate themselves before the average Nigerians electorate. No matter how much APC and Bola Ahmed Tinubu spend, 2023 election will definitely speak a different voice.

I get scared in the sense that people still come out openly to support this clueless human being especially the so called educated ones. I live in the UK with my family and my children keep telling me “mum why are you so worried for Nigeria?”. I tell them Nigeria is still my country and l have extended families there too. Jalingo, Kudos! that was a very wonderful historical analysis. Almost all the past and even the incumbent presidents have toed this path and at this time they believe strongly that its also business as usual. Journalism is a very indispensable vital part of the life of democracy. Maybe we are in military administration in practice but democracy in mere principle. Military blood runs in most of our so called politicians.....unfortunately some journalists are part of enemies to journalism aiding political/executive rascality just like some judicial officers have kept shutting themselves on the leg by the orders and rulings in favour of their to be hunters...
To me it has nothing to do with military rather it has everything to do with our culture wherein the privileged and wealthy treat ordinary people like slaves. Just look around and you will see this at all levels. Almost everyone with a bit of authority tend to act like a dictator, for instance house maids/boys, even though they are mostly fully grown adults, are treated like slaves. In that context it can be explained why our leaders like Tinubu see themselves as gods who must be worshipped and therefore Nigerians don't worth to be answerable to. So, as a people we have a long way to go when it comes to humility and the way the less privileged are treated. We ought to start treating the less privileged amongst us with dignity and humanly.

Excellent interview. Please Nigerians let not cower to APC leaning oo. Their candidate has to speak to the issue presented by David. Honestly my only pain is that so many in rural communities might not watch this news. This discussion really deals with the dilemma of any profession of who sets the standards for an operation and how conflict of interest might affect issues. But then again Standards has to standard within a profession and we cannot allow our biased determine our standard of our profession. Hence while I always believe that an opposing voice is very essential hence in their battle they could further upgrade operations. Like I always listen to fox and CNN to see both arguments and draw my conclusion for critically analyzing the issues. But In practice its tough to build and operate upon standards wholly.

This is one of the most objective interviews on the Arise TV. Journalists should be bold enough to say where they stand ,the people listen to them everyday as a representation of the conscience of the nation. Their neutrality seems an indication of being compromised rather than being principled.
