All my 60 years on this globe and I'd not known that this song was written by people of my own culture! WOW!!!! I'd just decided that I'd like to minister this song for a minister in my church. Apparently, he's had a mild stroke that's left the right side of his face paralyzed. And I feel (in my spirit) that getting the congregation to sing this together (for as long as the Holy Ghost says) will create an atmosphere of faith and trust in which God will move MIGHTILY to heal and restore this man of God.
I was 3 years old when this song was recorded. The young Rev. Clay Evans was lifting the name of Jesus then. It was 15 years later when I heard this same song on the What A Fellowship Hour broadcasting over WCFL out of Chicago all the way to a little State called Maryland.It was then that the name Rev.
