i didnt actually know that they added High Velocity ammo for marathon. ill have to try it. Also regarding the Crash, i was having the same issue, figured out it was because of the toggle map. if you set map to push + hold to open it seems like it fixed the problem for me. Awesome video by the way. it was a cool highlight of the gun changes.
I think they added a bit of a delay to the fuse pistol where the fuse doesn't start burning until a little after it's left the barrel so if you are super close to the bees it won't light them up since you are too close. I could be wrong on this though.
Somone on reddit said you have to shoot the floor if they are at the hitting you phase, in th seek phase you aim at it like you did. I'm sure I tried the floor method and it didn't work, ha.
I really like the caldwell marathon, very consistent for its cheap price and the compact ammo. havent played it much since the update, maybe ill give it another try ^^ really like the video btw
The marathon with FMJ treats me too well to even bother trying HV. I've gotten so many wall bang kills with it, with the massive ammo reserve. I even bring an ammo box along some games for the trio and so I can spam walls more.

Marathon is such a fun gun, just the ammo capacity with FMJ (even better if you take conversion with FMJ) is so awesome because you can just spam walls so easily.
I really appreciate your openings where you give a summary of the gun and show it in the shooting range. *But* I would *love* it if you included a clip where you test the distance a gut shot does 75 damage. So you can get a feel for different guns' two tap distance.

Great games. 👍This gun became my favorite weapon before update and it feels even better now. People under look it because of prices but It feels great to me. Definitely a gun more people should play with.
I recently leveled this gun, but I dont see an option for HV ammo. Only poison and FMJ, my bloodline rank is 100 so everything should be unlocked. Am I missing something?
Just game sense. Listening and tracking player movement using information available like bounty tokens being picked up, listening for gunshots, available nearby extracts etc.
The weapons in Hunt are poorly balanced. In 9 cases out of 10 the player with long ammo wins. Crytek has buried itself so much in broken weapon stats that it would have to do a complete overhaul, and most likely build the entire arsenal from scratch. Right now, all they can do is change the economy - raise the price of long ammo rifles and lower the price of the rest of the weapons. Currently I see no reason to take anything other than a Mosin, Lebel or Krag unless I have a death wish.
Not a problem for me. Most guns are fun and viable, but I’m probably less skilled than you and I log on with the intent to have fun. Sounds like you’re suffering from success because you’re at the top skill bracket and you want to min-max meta ride every single game. Stick to the meta and enjoy your success or relax and enjoy some variety.
I don't disagree that long ammo weapons perform well in an all around sense. I do think however ALL weapons are viable and capable in situations that benefit that particular weapon. I would also like to point out that long ammo weapons on average are quite a bit more expensive to run as well.
