'It kind of all went at once': Sinkhole swallows Illinois soccer field 

Not just mines, depleting ground water aids to sinkholes, fracking is a major contributor, agriculture, household use. Governments are slow to recognize environmental disasters because there's money at stake. It's too late by the time they do...business comes first. In the meantime, education levels are declining, people and communities are dying because of environmental disasters, people don't care if it means less shareholder profits. Both Obama and Biden nixed a pipeline from Canada's north, where the US gets most of its oil from...I thought it was for environmental reasons, turns out Biden wants to develop the US's own oil sands in Alaska. How's he going to get the oil from there to US refineries? down the coast, another Valdez...or will he want to use one of Canada's pipelines already in existence? the US can't get it's oil to the US without crossing Canada, or going into international waters.

We have underground pipes going everywhere.
