Its called a cover not a re-creation. It's not Renee Geyer song it's the late Aretha Franklin's song who released it in 1975 Renee sang a cover of the song.
Renee's song was the hit version in Australia and Aotearoa/NZ We have a really good mix of our own performers in our 2 countries along with a great balance of UK and American music. We also recognised Sugar Man's musical brilliance along with South Africans, while his own USA ignored him.
Sterling is one of my very good friends, he is 12 now and one of the smartest and positive people I know. He is thriving and learning. Quinn is a big boy now and my little brothers best friend. (Although a little bit of a dork sometimes) they are really great people😊
