I always associate Jessie with pure, joy and good vibes. Him reading ACOTAR series will be funny, especially if he ever decide to make it into a reAding blog. The romance is 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
@@user-kp5ew7pz3n Throne of Glass is YA, except Kingdom of Ash is borderline Adult. Everything in it is fade to black or not explained in a lot of detail. ACOTAR is the adult series with adult romance content.
@@Notfallkaramell You know That adult content does not necessarily mean it is porn right..?🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️Besides it is more to the story than just the more graphic parts so I don’t think it counts under what you are suggesting…🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Been incredibly hooked in a Korean novel lately entitled, "The Remarried Empress" and I discovered it in webtoon and was thrilled to know that it had a novel form. It's taking me a while to finish it since I wait for it to be translated and now I'm trying to learn how to read hangeul so that I could buy the physical book. At first I thought it was about a cold-hearted slayin' empress but after reading about her I fell in love with her and I grovel at her beautiful, perfect presence. It's fun because it doesn't revolve around one character, or the romance, but we are introduced to their way of life, politics and other issues both internal and external.
Wait, are you telling me that we're book state buddies?! I love the haul, the desire to buy my entire wishlist grows every book haul/video you post xD (I save myself from the debt by telling me that I'm allowed to buy more books when I read the first book in a series 👀 )
I vote you read Gallant first so I can experience it vicariously through your videos 😅 I am interested to see what you think of ACOTAR. I know you've read Maas before, so you already know what you're getting into, but I am surprised to see it in this haul. I stopped after the third book and haven't felt the need to continue on.
I was recently talking to my friend about how we just have to accept that some poorly written/corny/arguably bad books are… just good! This year I’ve read on *beautifully written book that just didn’t thrill me at all and one book by an author whose writing is pretty terrible but who has fun concepts and stories that I loved! I think if you read enough you can start to make room for those good bad reads and just let yourself have some mindless fun! It sounds like Zodiac Academy is one of those books.
I started King of Scars many moons ago...these days I went back to it. Not even sure why it took so long to get into it because I loove Nikolai and Nina ;))) But anyway, I'm getting the hang of it this time around
I get that whole thing about SJM being everywhere. I personally have no interest in her books. The way people criticise them, and also the way praise them, just screams you will hate this. So, no thanks. But it is everywhere constantly, and it is getting to the point where I am trying to dodge her content and failing miserably. She has such a big platform of fans across all the different book communities online. I too am interested in Gallant but I want to read the books on my shelf, and books that I am borrowing. At the moment, I have a bookmark in Beloved by Toni Morrison who is an author I wanted to read for a while. After this I have The Song of Achilles lined up, also a book I'm borrowing. I have a strong suspicion that I am not going to like it much, but I still want to give it a shot and kind of to move the book out of the way.
Hhahaha Jesse the romance reader continues. Love this life crisis for you. I am looking forward to trying this woven kingdom! And the red palace sounds amazing D: Added it to my tbr. Enjoy your new books :)
MICKEY DONALD AND GOOFY THE THREE MUSKETEERS IS THE SUPERIOR THREE MUSKETEERS You dropping the book pile had me crying, I love that every time i click on one of your videos I always end up laughing!!!
The latest book I’ve purchased is The Golden Couple by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen. My latest book haul however was The Rocks by Peter Nichols, Followers by Megan Angelo, The Holdout by Graham Moore, The Red Lotus by Chris Bobjalian, and Fates & Furies by Lauren Geoff. I probably won’t read any of them this year.
If I'm happy because Jesse upload a new video? Yes, yes I am :3 I'm just so glad for Jesse even if he doesn't read all of those books soon, just see him excited about it it's contagious 🥰🖤✨
I love Acotar!!! You should definitely read that one first. Also woven kingdoms is also another book you should read. It's a book I really want to read.
Jesse's words of the day = Penetrate (verb): a thing that happens on Sarah J Maas covers. [and between them... what who said that?] Murderrrr (noun): ah, my throat.
"Penetrate" ... ACOTAR ... Well... Nothing more to say I guess? It made me laugh immediatly, even if I only read the first book xD (And will probably not continue tbh...)
I’m currently reading This woven kingdom. I like it, but it doesn’t feel that original. I love Mafi’s writing style though. And of course I’ve read ACOTAR
Chapter 55. Thats y ppl like ACOTAR Jesse😅😅😅personally i wasnt impressed with the series and didnt like the writing or the characters but I will watch u vlog ur reactions to them if u ever do😁
Hey Jesse, do you use your library often? As an investment on books, it is incredibly helpful because you can read a new release and if you didn’t like the book, you didn’t waste any money on it.
Actually went to one of my favorite local bookshops with my best friend the other day and got a decent book haul of 6 books, including Good Omens, the Night Circus, and a really nice edition of We Have Always Lived in the Castle. Not reading any of them yet, but going to try and work a couple in next month's rotation.
I only read the first book to the ACOTAR series, but I needed a break from her too. I LOVED Throne of Glass series and I've read all of them. I think I was too attached to that series to move on yet...LOL
The "Book Murder" part made me laugh at the end lol I hope the books are okay. A book I just bought is The Forest of Wool and Steel by Natsu Miyashita, I'm so excited to read it!
ugh idk what to do ive the nerdy ink acotar and tog dust jackets but both of my series are all a mess in the tog ive some hardbacks and some paperbacks, but on the acotar i have most in paperback some are uk edition some usa. ive last 2 books in hardback, the most recent one ive with new covers which honestly idk i kinda dont like them. i had original hardcover acotar but i had to trade it so now im lookin for a replacement one. and i want all my books to be hardcover and to match so the dust jackets fit but idk if i should get the acotar hardcover series with new ugly non matchin covers or try to find the old ones (which is hard to) and either way the nerdy dust jackets will cover the book so its not like even if i had new ugly covers would be able to see them so idk, oorr i could just keep my own editions that ive already even in paperback and maybe get the dust jackets altered in size (like scan them and then measure the books for the dust jackets fit the paperback better and change them to be smaller so they can fit and then print them and voila i would have fittin dust jackets and it would be cheaper than gettin all the books in hardcover and also bc i know i wouldnt want to get rid of my doubles :C)
I’m really sorry that I have to say it…. But I’m afraid that you will hate Acotar. What sane person purchases the whole series when they don’t like romance?? We still love you tho and I hope I’m wrong😢
Jesse should read heaven official's blessings English release, but like go without knowing anything about the story please it's much better like wayyyy better then acotar
"penetrate", too funny, I am not evening going to attempt to guess where you mind was going with that. I am really looking forward to reading Phil Stamper's book. I like "Gravity", but really liked "As Far As You'll Take Me" (also by Stamper). If you like drama, mysteries, and friendship stories, check out the books by Karen M. McManus. I am reading "You'll Be The Death Of Me", her latest book and am very much enjoying it. Keep up the good work. Cheers!
I truly truly truly sympathise with your problem of getting more books and not reading the ones before only today i had started reading elantris and after this book haul I want the zodiac academy and the gravity of us ASAP
It's okay Jessie, you are not the only one with a book buying problem *proceeds to look at my ever-flowing bookshelf mostly containing books that I have no read yet while only reading books I get from the library*
Daughter of the Moon Goddess was sooo gooooddd!!! I read it through audiobook and it usually takes me forever to read audiobooks due to ADHD, but I plowed through it because it was phenomenal.
"You know too much" haha truly there's times I feel like i think of something and then I be getting ads for it, like agent in phone how even?! Excited to read the red palace!
Jessie when talking about acotar: "Eat it up" Rhys does that "Penetrated" Rhys does that too Every time u said penetrate represents all the penetration that Rhys most certainly does
You are missing the nouvella from Acotar, is named A court of frost and starlight. Go get that one too cause you will need it before a court silver flame .
Me: I haven't watched jessi in awhile, busy with life and studying Korean. Jessi: Korean books! read a thon of Korean books! Me: SHOOK! HOW DID YOU KNOW 😅😅
Winter : 2:03 Why does he say so bad about me? Heart breaking...(crying) Me (winterlover) : I am here for you, Winter. (crying) btw, "The Red Palace" sounds really interesting!
I'm currently reading A Court of Silver Flames after reading the series for the first time, and it's really good, Jesse! There are some world building elements I could have lived without, but I'm really enjoy the series (warning, it is pretty spicy. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of that stuff, but to each's own, and the story is still great even if I don't like those parts!!) 10/10 recommend!
I recently picked up Cinder because the cover was just so stunning. Haven’t started reading it yet because I’m currently sucked into Heaven Offical’s Blessing trap of being such a great book. That made absolutely no sense… uhh, anyways hi
Have not purchased a book in months, but I recently picked up "Snow Crash" by Neal Stephenson from the library and it's been a really good time. When my friend who recommended the book said "it's about a pizza delivery man in the future" I thought they were joking but turns out they weren't.
daughter of the moon goddess is my next read !!!!! the cover you got is gorgeous 😭😭😭😭😭 also want to read the red palace and a court of thorns and roses butt need to finish the love hypotheses firsttt
You should read the imdalind chronicles by Rebecca ethington. My fav series for a while now (it has some romance so beware) it's fantasy and i don't think it's talked about enough
I remember The Three Musketeers being a fun read. Given how long ago I read it, I have no idea if it holds up. (Wouldn't recommend the sequels, unless you love it. They're looong and not as action packed.)
Hello! Love all of your video soo much.
