Idk, I've been waiting for this version, and listening to it, it's pretty good for me. The song is more tense and dark than in the final version. But what we got in the end from the three composers is also great.

Well, Nova64 was outed as being a transphobe and xenophobe to a pretty intense degree, and he also leaked a build of the mod, so it makes sense why he was kicked and his content scrapped.

I knew what happened to Nova64. He left due to Marco Antonio on to the long time period of finishing the mod update and he went Homophobe McShittypants. Then he got cancelled over leaking a Mario's Madness V2 build. Luckily, It's A Me, Powerdown were 10x creepier.
WAHbox knew how to give personality to that song that previously sounded worse in V1, on the other hand Nova, I realize that the guy only makes very boring songs that are generic so that the minimal personality they have cannot be noticed. destined to Horror Mario
This is the only song that I really liked from Nova, because that's what I personally was waiting for, than the whole mod. But still, what is the result? The answer is obvious. Nova was kicked out, the songs were remade and replaced. The new version of It's-a-me sounds good too But, the tone of the song in the final V2 was more dynamic, and had more drive, where as, this version is more unsettling and tense.

I have the feeling most people are saying this is bad just because the person who did it was a bad person, but I personally enjoy this version (I mean I like all of them honestly)
Yeah I don't see why people call this version bad. Sure, some of Nova's songs were trash (cough cough, Last Course), but It's A Me is not bad at all, just a bit boring. Another example of this is Alone. I didn't think Nova's Alone was absolute garbage like everyone says it is. I actually really liked it. Both replacements for It's A Me and Alone were both better than Nova's songs but these old ones were not bad. I don't think anyone's calling old False Hero in Powerdown bad though.

I prefer the first version, because the first song of of mod DOESN'T need to be supper intense. Not only that, the slow pace of it makes the presence of Mario.exe all the more creepy. Maybe 90% of the community won't see it like I do and say it's lame and it does make me sad but it's only my own opinion.
