Ginny Thompson (Bailey Buntain) wants to audition for Bells Are Ringing and asks Michelle Simms (Sutton Foster) for some help. (aka Sutton Foster showing us what being 'perfect' means)
It's funny because when I first started watching the scene, I thought Ginny was doing okay and Michelle was being too harsh... and then Michelle starts singing and yeah, there's just no comparison. Brilliant in every way. The scene is perfect. Sutton Foster IS perfect. Come back, Bunheads. I miss you!
@@bigred8432 sure but what’s the value in dumping on someone trying their best? Her criticism wasn’t very helpful. Just yelling no? Nope. Narcissism. Yes she’s way better than Ginny, but that actress is a world renowned actress and singer. Ginny probably doesn’t have what it takes but again, what’s the value in just dumping on her.
@@haleyadamic She never yells anything, and she never 'dumps' on her. When she's saying no (not yelling) it's in response to a note she's already given. I hope you aren't an actor because you have a rough ride ahead
I remember when I first saw this and got really nervous because I was like, "but wait... what's so bad about what the girl is doing? I'm scared." And then Sutton starts up and everything explodes and suddenly it's all like "ohhhhh! my god." Perfection. Sutton is perfection.
When I first watched this scene, I was expecting Ginny to be upset that Michelle was so critical, which would then kick off a little plot about how Michelle's ambitions are at odds with her responsibilities as a teacher. I'm sooooo glad that it turned out that this wasn't just what Ginny needed to kick ass at the audition, but that Ginny herself knew it and appreciated it. Little curveballs like that are part of why I love this show.
Ginny and Melanie started out as such underrated and somewhat forgettable characters, but as the season went on they became my favorite characters and they make me laugh the most!
😤😭I miss Bunheads!!! I miss everyone of the cast! I wish they'd do a "where they all are now" remake or update series!!!! I'd love to know what happens to Boo, Sasha, Franny, Michelle and her brother, AND "that cute Bartender"!!
Sutton, no surprise, is great in this number, but Bailey is sweet and adorable. Too bad this plot string was not followed through so we knew if Ginny got into the production.
I was sooo excited when the show is starting to somewhat relate to Sutton's broadway life... as soon as its starting to get very interesting, they cancel it -_- ...good job abc family, once again u manage to ruined a perfectly good show
That was sooo perfect in every way. Sutton needs to play the baker's wife and Bailey needs to play little red riding hood in the upcoming Into the woods movie.
This makes perfect sense sutton foster worked on broadway forever so it's obvious this had to happen soon now only if they had more sutton foster singing cause I like that.
I know that, but who's Louise? In 'Bells Are Ringing' the woman who sings this song, is "Ella Peterson." Who's Louise? Is that a reference to another musical? A film? A song? I just want to know who is Louise? lol P.S. Thanks for answering.
Omar S I can't believe no one answered this in 4 years. 😄 if you are still wondering, "Sing out, Louise" is a famous line from the musical Gypsy. Mama Rose is always telling her daughter, "Sing out, Louise!" because she is shy and quiet, unlike her sister June, who was the star of their vaudeville act. If you are a musical theater geek, this is a common cultural reference used a lot.
and it is a prime example of why it shouldn;t have been cancelled. what is wrong with abc family that they cancel this but pretty little liars has 80 plus episodes and a frreaking spin off?!
