I used to watch Days of Our Life back in the 80s & 90s. Took me back. I much more enjoy The Moss Family & the days of their lives!

Good evening Moss family! So many memories from our past just came flooding back for a lot of us! Got so tickled at the horse licking Titus’s back! Supper looked amazing!❤️🙏

I’m in the Pacific Northwest and I’m going to make fried green tomatoes for the first time. No one makes them here that I know of. I’ve had them in the south though. Wish me luck. 🥰😄

Hey there, Moss Family!😊 You really brought back some wonderful memories of watching Days of Our Lives with my grandmama ❤. Thank y'all for that! The long, narrow wooden tray is usually used as an olive tray. But I've seen them used for any kind of small foods you're serving. Also I've seen them used just decoratively with small tea lights and some pebbles and greenery, or potpourri. Hope this helps. Bless y'all!

I would put mini pumpkins in the wooden bowl. That would make a really cute fall display. Hobby Lobby usually has bags of assorted mini pumpkins. Not sure if you all have one but most craft stores have them. Hope you had a blessed day!

That narrow wooden platter is used to display olives, baby carrots, small baby cucumber, pickles, or any kinds of nuts.

I really like those vegi chips! I might put olives and pickles in that tray. Or maybe peppers? Are all the horses so calm and cooperative? It amazes me! Love tonight's supper...beans & cornbread. Yummmm.

I had to laugh at your memories. Back in the mid 70s I was into all soaps on ABC. On All my Children Paul Martin and his wife had a child who died from a sids death. I was broken hearted. When my husband came home from work, I told him how sad it was. He took a quick shower and got dressed. He thought I was describing an actual event. After I told him what really happened he said "you need to cut back on the soaps!"

I had the absolute best chuckle this morning over Titus talking about the Days of Our Lives and the lady who requested prayer for the show. My husband jumped out of bed to see if I was alright 😂 I grew up with The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful, and As the World Turns 😂😂

I LOVE beets! I planted 3 different plantings of them so I have them fresh til Fall! Then I’ll still buy a couple bushels to pickle. I like the old school pickled beets w/ pickling spice, a cinnamon stick, red onion, garlic, brown sugar(not white)but I’m the only one who likes them. MORE FOR ME! Makes my eggs red to the yolk. Yummmmy

I just love how sweet the Moss guys are with horses. It is great to watch. I, also, feel like those horses have a little skip in their steps after......like "I have new shoes everybody!"

My mom used to watch one particular soap opera and had me tape it on the old VCR while she was at work. She would watch it when she got home. I told her that you could tune in one week and then turn around the next week it would be the same thing going on.

I have one of the little wooden oblong bowls and I put little tiny pumpkins in mine during the Fall and little tiny pinecones in the winter and rest of the year I have pip berries in it!

I would use it for olives ,mini pickles , or anything you wouldn’t want to get soggy on the charcuterie board 🤍

I have a few long shaped platters like that. I put assorted matinated olives or gherkins when I am hosting.

I know the long bowl is meant for the center of the table with nuts, finger foods & things but I’d be using it for small bundles of dried herbs I need to get stripped & put up.

We grow a variety of green bean that actually starts out purple. It’s easy to find on the plant to pick it and then when you cook them, they actually turn green. they taste just like a regular green bean to.

I would put crackers ( like Ritz crackers) in that little wooden container. I love beets. I can eat a whole bowl of them by myself lol I always have loved them. For convenience, I buy them canned. I don't know if people still do , but back in the day , women would actually send wedding gifts to soap opera weddings. Crazy! It's just a show, with made up characters. smh. That wood at Big Lots looked nice. I'm doing some crafting & have decided just to go to Menards (like Home Depot, etc) for wood because it's crazy to get the little tiny pieces at Walmart & Dollar Tree when you can get good wood & DIY it. There isn't a Big Lots by me or I'd go. I'm very glad your garden is doing well! I need to do one. Maybe next year. It has to be above ground though. Ground here is riddled with rodents & is marshy. The first thing that I thought of for the narrow wooden platter was to use it for round crackers like Ritz. And I thought of the other things that was listed in the other comment also. Let your imagination run wild with it!! You could even use it for decoration of some kind. With Fall not too far away maybe use it somehow in your decorating.
