What you’re looking for is a mutual company, they sometimes offer these. Mutual a are actually owned by the policy holders and when the company profits off of premiums you get paid a dividend at the end of the year. But don’t go to liberty mutual! They got bought out and are no longer a mutual which really blows, despite keeping the name

Not anymore! Insurance companies now share all your information with other insurance companies. Any claim you file now all insurance companies can pull it up. It’s such corruption. They are scam they are scamming everyone!

I just discovered that they raise your rate based on claims they have to pay out on everybody else in your state getting in accidents. I noticed the same thing with my insurance payment about a month ago, called & asked, & the lady actually told me that rates went up because of all the claims they had to pay in AZ, & they wanted to keep THEIR financial income up.

They did the same thing to me! They increased my rates without notifying me

Consider this: If you had 30k lying around to self insure you could regard it as an "investment" - not having to send off large sums to insrnc companies would make for a nice return on your investment...providing you drive careful and don't have any wreck.....just saying

I’m 21 and I’m with Progressive. I drive a 2009 Elantra and these bastards want $452.62 every month from me. I don’t really care about the age factor and such to tell you the truth because anyone of any age is prone to getting into an accident and are just as hazardous as the next person. I haven’t been involved in an accident with another vehicle and I find it ridiculous they’re charging me almost $500 just to drive my own car. This is my first car! I’m young and I’m not making big bucks just yet, I’d like to drive around and enjoy life without having my wallet sucked dry!!

but there is an other side to ths story that over look, and that is, the damage you might bring, or brought to an other driver,passangers of other road user, by causing an accident,passingers, driveres, and all of that cost will go trough the roof, thats why people that owns a car should never let their children or, friends even their parents drive their car, ,by being friendly, but no respossible

Know what you mean.. after I bought my car February.. with all the lies and deceptions that I had to fight my way out of....I asked the-salesman if he goes to church said he is a Christian .. I asked him how can you say you’re a Christian knowing one of the major requirements for this job is you have to tell lies daily. He never gave me an answer 🤔🤔

Get a ticket? Hell - they haul your ass off to jail - I forgot to make my "monthly extortion payment" once and got pulled over and jailed and my car towed away - they sucked lots of money from me in fees/fines and took my license for 90 days. Total assholes. BTW- a WOMAN driver has recently backed into my car at a McD's parking lot -completely her fault.

In my state your registration gets cancelled if you fail to provide proof of insurance

Eduardo - he DOES have a point- the rampant out of control car insurance has become a very SERIOUS problem. Something has to be done. (I say if a law is written to require insurance then there must also be tight regulations in place to oversee that companies do not take unfair advantage...

Most people(because they don’t educate themselves) think they are under contract. I will say that insurance companies do advertise the wrong way. It would help if they didn’t advertise with “save money” commercials but at the same time, people don’t take it serious so…

It's not the governments business if I save money

The government didn’t force people to get insurance because people don’t save. The government all bought stock in insurance companies and then mandated that you be a customer so that stock prices would rise and they would get rich. Insurance also spreads the liability so that giant corporations and billionaires that takes losses don’t actually take losses. Insurance companies pay out the losses and then raise premiums on the rest of us to socialize the risk involved with high value business and property. Which gives other rich people confidence to invest in giant corporations and make large business transactions because they run a low risk of losing money.

The government is not your friend and they do not have your best interest in mind. Only profit

California has implemented a state sponsored low cost insurance program that costs the state NOTHING-this should be done across the entire country

@@OriginalKarasu Correct - but costing TOO MUCH -more than it should - is the point. Do you know how much was charged as "transact fee" the last time you bought something with your card? Do you know who pays those fees? Do you know how much is collected as transact fees annually by the card companies? I'm willing to bet you don't. But you should. Those fees at the very least should be displayed on sales receipts just like taxes are - and for all fairness, card users should pay those fees (and be taken as deduction off income taxes). By providing fee amounts paid at each transaction consumers will then be better informed and able to shop around for a better deal with card companies - it's called "free market enterprise" - an ideal that's made our country so great.....of course the card companies/banks wouldn't want that! Capitalism is privatized profits and socialized risk. In a free market economy the government wouldn’t intervene in private business and insurance companies would have to compete for customers

You didn't say who's fault - if you are at fault then you deserve to suffer consequences. In 38 years of driving I've had only 2 minor accidents - one a deer hit my car and other a car backed into my car. BTW- I'm having hell to get reimbursed for the damage to my car - insurnc company dragging it out ----assholes

There’s other ways such as suing a person through civil court. Or the government can garnish wages if a person can’t pay through their pay check until fully accrued just like child support.

@@cooldeesir yes, let's do that... you hit me... front end of my vehicle is smashed in, my air bags go off.....my arms broken and I may have a concussion, plus other lacerations and minor injuries. I need medical attention and my cars not drivable. I sue you for damages to my totaled 6,000 vehicle, medical bills that i have incurred through the accident and follow ups, which say.... being nice, total another 5 grand after all is said and done. Also, because of my broken leg i was out of work for ehhh 2 months, and part of the lawsuit is for lost wages.... which say I make 11 dollars an hour, totals another $3500... not to mention cost of rehab that you're also being sued for and emotional distress. ...do I have to total rehab as well? Or do you get the picture? I didn't even get into lawyer fees and other expenses you'd be on the hook for in the lawsuit.....soo let's flood the court system with these lawsuits due to all the accidents that happen each year and let them hash it out.....oh wait, your court date is 2 years out because this is your solution and everyone is doing it. I could go on forever.

@@killertigergaming7395 Yes ..it's a tricky thing so you need to know what you are doing when dealing with insurance companies especially if you are a young person. Insurances are in it for the money THAT'S IT , the insured doesn't matter that much to them as soon as you have an accident you become a liability and your insurance company is no longer "your friend" and you are no longer "in good hands" . That is blunt but that's how it works. It is common practice for insurance adjusters that handle claims to DELAY your claim for as long as legally possible...especially if the settlement is extremely high , this is just a mathematical thing, for example if you have an accident and you are owed hospital fees and so on let's say 100k then what they do is the adjuster starts "gathering" all the evidence and then after three to six months they SWAP ADJUSTERS and the process begins all over again ..it starts from the very beginning and this burns time ...they can do this up to three times (or longer I don't know I'm only aware of three delays for close to a year after payment was due) they did this to me once. The second time I threatened to sue them for delaying payment while collecting interest on the money owed and guess what ...I got paid within a week. Adjusters are told (and usually earn bonuses) by their bosses to delay claims for as long as possible, to offer crap money for claims and even to totally IGNORE some settlements all together unless the person involved calls at least THREE TIMES to complain about where their money is. In the future if you have an accident please be aware of these things and start pressuring them, do not accept their first offer it is usually too damn low, tell them you are aware of "adjuster switching" and you won't put up with that crap and if needed be willing to get a lawyer and sue the insurer ...they will usually fold when threatened with legal action as long as you know for sure you are in the right. @@killertigergaming7395 Another trick they did to me is , I had "uninsured motorist" clause in my policy so any uninsured person hitting me the insurance company is supposed to pay for everything and also there is NO DEDUCTIBLE OWED. This is the trick they do, they usually hang the accident on YOU not the uninsured motorist ...they claim the person had insurance and if you don't verify this they can get away with it. Why is this important? because if the person has insurance YOU PAY THE DEDUCTIBLE ... They also did this to me, but I had proof the kid that hit me wasn't insured so they returned my deductible ($500 bucks) Beware of all these tricks Insurance is still better to have than not to have but you've got to know what you are doing , don't let the insurance company dictate the outcome or you'll be sorry Cheers

Well if hospitals didn't think they had to get paid from you and yiur insurance then shit wouldn't be that way either! Secondly if the other driver has life insurance then it should cover that not his or your car insurance, im insuring the car not some ones life

@@AncientCreature-i2o Ok, firstly insurance is not socialism. You pay insurance. You car gets damaged and your insurance fixes the car. You gain nothing. You're insurance ensures that you are not out of pocket or any damage you are responsible for doesn't leave anyone else out of pocket. Say you have no insurance and you cause an accident. The person has the right to make you pay for the damage. You'd be ok with that??
