this is literally the best version of its a small world on youtube. no added extra sound effects. just the ride music and vocals perfectly synced together. i listen to this for my last hour of my drive before arriving to disney world
I’m so glad I’m seeing a comment section full of people who appreciate this ride as art! ^^ I was getting pretty sick and tired of going everywhere and meeting Disney fans who found it creepy or annoying which in my opinion it isn’t.. I’m a simple 18 year old who has always appreciated art and music and this ride has both of those things! Plus I love how happy it makes me everytime I listen to it (some tears were involved due to how much this ride means to me..). I was always a happy, cheerful person because of this ride :00 Thank you ride for being there for me when I needed it the most! ^^
I rode this for the first time about a month ago. I was honestly prepared to not like it or be like "eh", but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I was enjoying it! I actually wanted to go again but we had another ride to get to lol. Either way it'll be a ride I definitely will go back to when I come back to DW!
This simple, catchy tune is actually incredibly profound in teaching young children that all members of our species Homo sapiens think and feel in roughly the same way despite great differences in culture and appearance, a fact not obvious to children or (sadly) even some adults for that matter. The fact that the USA and USSR were close to blowing the planet up back then makes the song particularly poignant. Hopefully, the current generation of kids hear the message and grow up to become adults who are unprejudiced and peace loving. The message is as relevant in 2020 as it was when it was written in 1962. Thanks Sherman brothers!

+Silas José da Cruz Costa The part where you listed 17:42 South America is incorrectly identified, because when I clicked on that, it was in the middle of the Mexico instrumental. I also think Mexico and the Andes share the same audio, but I don't know.
+Kansas King #99 No, isn't the Andes. Actually the Andes music is mixed with the Rainforest music in this video. But you're right. I think now this part is more Central America than Mexico. And no, the 17:42 is not Mexico, because the Mexico's part already its version in the attraction that is 17:26 and 18:30. But I'll list Latin America to avoid mistakes again. Thank you! Sorry for bad english :)
+Silas José da Cruz Costa 19:17 the Argentina (gaucho playing guitar), 19:33 The Andes Mountains (Chilean/Peruvian boy playing flute). 20:05 Brazil/Rainforest.
It’s a small world is the best ride ever and the dolls are so cute and the song is very happy. We do people thinks it sucks? It was my favorite ride from my childhood and it still is
In the boat ride there are different ways in singing: -Swedish in North Pole room. -Italian in Italy stage in Europe room. -Yodeling in Switz stage in Europe room. -Japanese in Asia room. -Spanish in Mexico room.
SAHARA: 13:28 Egypt (Cleopatra Temple) 14:16 Egypt AFRICA: 15:03 Africa (jungle safari) 15:52 Africa (Negro dance) SOUTH AMERICA: 16:39 Chile/Tierra del Fuego 17:26 Mexico (instrumental Mariachi music) 17:42 Central America 18:30 Mexico 19:17 Mexico (bird market) 20:05 Brazil PACIFIC ISLANDS: 20:53 Hawaii 21:39 Hawaii (instrumental) 23:00 IASW Finale
A fellow that I know built the endless loop, 24 track tape machine that plays back the music for the It's a Small World attraction(s)? For years I had wondered how the music played non-stop through the whole attraction and then I met this fellow a few years back. He still maintained and trained the Disney techs on the machines up until recently.
I'm rather partial to the music of the toy wooden soldiers (1:50 ff with its excellent and tight drumming to keep the beat), the creative use of "Big Ben" ringing during the British children's singing, the vivacious tambourines within the Middle Eastern scenario 9:30-10:18 and the gentle rhythm within the Central American/Mexican music 17:27 - 18:30.
1:50 Tivoli Gardens entrance. 17:27 - 17:42 and 18:30 - 19:16 give us Cinco de Mayo feeling, exploring through Mexico. 9:30 Middle Eastern rhythm is where we visit Aladdin and Jasmine on the flying carpet of Arabia. For 11:06 11:52 is the Thailand audio with Ramwong folk dancers and we see the moving elephant. Another South Asia track of 11:53 is also cool, where is the Bali soundtrack accompanying us watching a Balinese goddess and shish kabob shaped Balinese umbrella and I guess... Malay musician playing a 'rebana' (a tambourine-like instrument).
11:53 is Malaysia, where there are musicians wearing a Malay shirt called "baju kurung". After that, 12:41 is Japan, where there are Japanese kimono girls, Japanese kite festival and a giant Tori gate in front of a Shinto shrine.
Jupiter Jones The 18:30 soundtrack is the complete Central American/Mexican mariachi music with both instrumental mariachi rhythm and Spanish vocals for accompanying a Mexican fiesta with sombrero hat dancers and the boat ride tour through Mexican marketplaces with fruits and flower cart carried by the blue ox and the blazing Mayan sun enlightening Chitchen Itza, the place in Mexico with aztec pyramid.
20:52 - 23:00 it's got to be this Pacific / Polynesian tribal music for me. It's just so evocative and relaxing! I guess the fact that I always stay at the Polynesian makes me have a soft-spot for this though
He worked for 3M and then later Ampex and actually did stuff much cooler than build that machine. The machines were/are one of a kind. The tape is 2" wide and is in a "bin." It is a continuous loop of tape and each theme is on a separate track. The appropriate audio from each of the 24 tracks is fed to the speakers in each part of the ride.
List of missing countries/languages: *Europe* Finland Wales Hungary Romania Moldova (Romanian) Luxembourg Poland Czech Republic Ukraine Belarus Andorra Albania Vatican City Monaco Austria Macedonia Montenegro Bosnia and Herzegovina Bulgaria Serbia Iceland The Baltics (Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia) Malta San Marino Kazakhstan Azerbaijan Northern Ireland Sealand Liechtenstein Probably wouldn't include Ladonia, Seborga or Kugelmugel because they are cities inside countries Isle of man *Others* Cambodia Turkey Taiwan Tibet The Philippines Australia Wy New Zealand Israel America Canada Alaska Georgia (country) Bahamas Jamaica Trinidad and Tobago Seychelles
I would love it if they added more nations, including a Caribbean room. Other variations of the ride have different languages too. France has French and Hebrew, Arabic, along with the best North American Room. Hong Kong has an extended Asia room with the song sung in Korean, Mandarin, Tagalog, and Cantonese.
I'm surprised there aren't as many dislikes, considering how many people have been traumatized by this ride, but I digress. The 12,000 or so people who have seen this video (accounting for multiple views) were probably looking for it specifically.
When toons go through a painful and unfortunate experience, a loveheart boy is sent to the toon world, and takes the toons with him, and they are sent to his world.
When toons are betrayed, and go through a painful experience, a loveheart boy and the other Loveheart boys are called to the toon world, and the toons are taken to their toon world where they will feel better, and where their lives will feel so much better
This is my own Malay language version of It's a Small World After All: Di dunia ada tawa dan dukacita Asa, takut, sihat, dan derita, Kita boleh berkongsi semua deria Di dunia kecil ini. Translation: In the world there are laughter and grief, Hope, fear, health, and suffering We can share all of senses In this small world. In this narrow world, There are variety of races Although the races are different, All are equal. A moon and sun, Sources of light in the darkness. Mountains, seas, forests, all are extensive In this narrow world.
In the Small World ride Malaysia is represented by three veiled women, with one playing the "kompang" (a hand-drum like instrument) and two others are plucking the Indian instruments and three males playing a bongo, a reed wind instrument called "serunai" and a pair of cymbal-like instrument, while Indonesia is represented by the Bali dancers and a gamelan player.
In California Disneyland's It's a Small World ride, Malaysia is located between the India and Thailand/Bali presentation stages while in Magic Kingdom and Tokyo Disneyland version of the ride, Malaysia is located after India stage and across the Japan stage.
And having so much fun with my friends we don't ever go through disasters like that at all! And having so much fun with my friends we don't ever get worn out like that at all!
When a toon is betrayed, a loveheart boy comes to the toon world the toon is in, and takes the toon to his toon world to make him feel better When toons are betrayed a loveheart boy comes to the toon world the toon is in, and takes the toons to his toon world to make them feel better,
