I remember wanting to watch this exact special every Christmas, something about the animation just made it the best, and honestly I think they could do some of this animation for certain episodes, that would be cool
5 seconds of footage per day for a 30 minute film. That's 360 days of labor, scene setting, shooting and editing. The dedication this Crew has to make just a half hour film for Christmas is beyond admirable. This is the most tedious type of film to create. The team that worked on this will never receive as much praise as they deserve. Absolutely amazing accomplishment. Stop motion films are a pillar in childhood holidays. This is a great successor to the Rudolph and Santa stop-motion films from the 60s and 70s, that are still enjoyed over 50 years later.
1:37 AN ENTIRE DAY JUST FOR 5 SECONDS SO BASICALLY IT TAKES THEM OVER A YEAR JUST TO FINISH THE 1 HOUR AND MINUTES MOVIE I love this movie when i was a kid dont get me wrong but always wanted to know if it was drawed or animated of real life things and yep its real life things
TheDUDERulez1 I agree. If santa was "All seeing." Why didn't he see plankton doing his plot? And he couldn't tell the difference between cold hard metallic bob over bright yellow soft bob?
I love the It's A Spongebob Christmas stop-motion episode. I remember when I first watched the very first premire of it on December 6th of 2012, and I thought it was funny. I even bought the episode on DVD. I wish they had came up with it in 2010 and aired it on December 6th of 2010 instead of 2012.
turtlelover789 The movie itself was weak on story driven motives. I like the attention to detail within the set, it looks so beautiful it really is gorgeous. But please oh please take a glance at the *script!* Even a 7 year old could notice all the plot holes in the movie. It's like how sony screwed over The amazing Spider-man 2, the attention to detail like the cgi was spectacular but the cramped too much villains in it and the rushed everything on the story.
I was excited to see this when It first came out but it never came to my mind this was stop motion. great to know the behind the scenes of this special.
Its not going to be terrible just different, and I want to see it. They probably should mention when it comes on, but I'm guess more around xmas time like the 21st or something.
Thumbs up if after seeing how hard these people do the stopmotion, you feel sorry to blink when you watch this episode cause you don't want to waste the hard work they do.
