Wouldn’t be Brolly’s biggest fan but he’s 100% spot on. ‘Ludicrous’ is the only way to describe it, the UK is going the same way as America. Split in two, fighting against one another instead of asking what they’re fighting over or for. Whether we like it or not we look to our east and west, societally anyway, and he’s right. We need to be careful we don’t slip into that ourselves. 10 years ago lunatic conspiracy theories were rightfully laughed off, now we’re supposed to have a debate about it… Murdoch and his rats have their hand so far up some of the populations arses it’s incredible

Tbh, its very difficult to spot a republican from a democrat in today's America. Both sides of the isle have been wholly corrupted and both sides are being governed by the green. So long as people still attribute blame to one side of the isle instead of the corrupted system, the problem will go unchecked. Very rationale interview for the most part though.

Democrats have gone completely to the extreme left with the POTUS giving in to the extreme leftists in the party. Policy’s adopted by the Democrats has led to probably the worst sitting of a President ever, one disaster after another. They now blame Russia/Ukraine war now but as everyone knows the Democrats policy’s is crippling people, high inflation, Gas and food prices, not to mention the car crash that is the border and the Afghanistan debacle. Crime has risen rampantly in major cities, defund the police has been a disaster. People are struggling to get by but the Democrats couldn’t care less...

Metropolitan may be a more significant title for Belfast as an area of importance irregardless of what state it is part of . I can see a fear of loosing status to Dublin in an island Ireland. This issue is one which affects English cities of Manchester and Liverpool as well which rightly seek more autonomy in line with their population needs. An island Ireland that would work would be one of much stronger metropolitan regions with the enhancement of cities of Derry Galway Limerick Cork on more equal footings. Where the day to day needs of say Donegal Lietrim may be served better by Derry than Dublin

What is global, telling blatant lies in parliament, and everywhere else without so much as enough time to challenge the lie or lies before there is another one told, and people getting snow-blind to the continuous barrage of lies? You see, I think that what Joe is saying here is that we need to ensure that we do not reach that level of depravity in our region, and that we should not be so complacent as to believe or be convinced that it could never happen here. Surely you can not deny that there is more bullshizzle told to the people in Britain that there is to the people in Ireland, and by the same measure that the rest of the European states in general are less burdened with this problem than Britain currently? I am saying that by any standard, the EU in general, and Ireland in particular ARE much better than Britain in this regard, and you have agreed to this yourself above I believe. So, it appears that your problem is one of cognitive dissonance. Fortuitously for you, that can be addressed by examining your own thought process.

Europe doesn't have the same levels of poverty that Britain now has. Britain is far less equal than practically every country in Europe. There is no reason for it except British elites want it that way. EU poverty is at about 15%, still way too high and unnecessary. In the UK it's about 18%. The major difference is that most of the UKs 18% are in Employment whereas in the EU just over half of those in poverty are employed.

@anthonym3351 2 года назад
@@rayfootblogs maybe not this year, dubs dominance is over but that can easily win all irelands in nxt few yrs mainly due to lack of competition. Dublin have reached every semi for 12 years, and I think kerry and mayo have been in 10 and 11 semis in past 12 years. So these 3 teams will be in semis again over nxt few yrs, if dublin fail this year they may have Jim Gavin back or someone else to improve them. Look at kerry, the last 13 yrs one of the worst by there standards yet there always contenders, I think how kerry have been in recent years will be new normal for dublin
@rayfootblogs
@rayfootblogs 2 года назад
@@anthonym3351 But all great sporting empires eventually crumble at some stage, what makes Dublin any different? Even Dessie Farrell admitted the Dubs are in transition following their relegation from Division 1 this year. All of their top players like Fitzimons, McCarthy, Fenton, Kilkenny, Rock etc are all a year older meaning they either stagnate or go downhill. In recent years, Dublin lost too many players and Cluxton is a body blow. Dessie Farrell hasn't the same level of discipline on the Dubs as Jim Gavin did. The fact the Ulster teams have significantly improved like Armagh and Tyrone recently and Mayo are getting Killian O'Connor back from injury meaning there are a few teams that have currently passed Dublin by in terms of All Ireland contention. Even if the Dubs do retain the Leinster Championship, it's a weak province and they'll get no further.
@anthonym3351
@anthonym3351 2 года назад
@@rayfootblogs Yes I agree with almost everything you said. However I still wouldn't write dublin off winning more all irelands in the next few years, certainly not at the rate they were winning, but they will easily be reaching semi finals every year. As a dublin fan I enjoyed the good times but am hoping Sam Maguire gets shared around a bit, people were bored of Dublin and we were almost apologetic winning all irelands.

Joe's synopsis on the US and UK is spot on. The worrying thing is, if any of that is news to people then therein lies the problem. These things only happen as a result of creating vast swathes of uneducated people and also apathy and inaction amongst the people who do know but do nothing.

This has been. A very important piece of journalism. Antrim is up there with Dublin and Cork in population size on the island. The development of Casement not only gives a sense of sanctuary to a "Green" tradition but will also serve as a stadium worthy of a Capital city which in future can stage internationals in Rugby, Soccer and who knows international Gaelic or Hurling as well. It is the concentration of people within an area that should dictate it's needs more than what state it is in.
