We enjoyed IAWW quite a bit, so backing IAWK was a no-brainer, _particularly_ during quarantine. And... gah. Every so often we bring it out, and we conclude that really it must be that we're playing the "base" game, next time we really must try it with the big board, all the tricked out bits (we have the KS edition), that must be where it shines. And then we don't, and a while later we think we should give it a try again, but we've already forgotten how to play.... so we don't bring out all the tricked out bits. I'm thinking we should just stick to IAWW.
I found your channel via Before You Play and this IAWK caught my eye immediately. So far I've skipped it b/c I heard that it's not as good as IAWW, but this got me adding it to my BGG-wishlist. But then the comments below suggest me back to think it wouldn't be so good... Your opinion is now one year old, so: do you still have IAWK and play it regularly?
I was extremely disappointed with this game. Sold it after a few plays. I did not feel any tension with the drafting. Always seemed obvious what to take.
