I just completed my Stage 1 on my ST. Bassani 2-1 black chrome, ThunderMax ECM, S&S Air Cleaner. You're gonna love the difference, the bike comes awake real easy. Your trip will be super cool though, I'd love to have that experience one day.

For clarification: Are you changing out the stock OE 12mm narrowband O2 sensors and going to 18mm wideband O2 sensors for the upcoming Tuning? Also, did you say [in the video] that you would be using a Screaming Eagle Tuner? Or will be tuning with something else, such as TTS, Dynojet, or changing out the ECM to a Thundermax?

I realized we didn’t explain that very well, sorry! We kept stock for the install, but plan on using wide and for the tuner eventually. Will be screaming eagle for right now.

Was there torque specs for tightening either the bolts on the flanges or for the mid controls? I just got a V&H pipe and the instructions don't say anything except "tighten", so just curious if I'm missing something.

Nope! Came with the brackets we needed! Some companies sell them separately, but SP had them included.

i have heard that couples who have regular "engineering disputes" have better communication skills.....you two must be professionals by now. 🤣. really i have heard that several times before lol. i think you two have a touch of control freak in you lol. when you dont have that control you jab the other with an ice pick " now its fine, go ahead" lol. the sewing machine thing was funny lol. the pipe sounds good. grats. i like 2 into 1 pipes. see if they came like that from Harley they could of made bigger bags for that bike. im not a fan of those bags but that is me. good vid

That's not stage one... no tune is involved in a stage one... a tune only helps if you put a new cam in it.. which is stage two.. a tune with a new exhaust doesn't gain much cept better throttle response

The comment I was looking for. Tune for exhaust change does nothing but maybe crisp up throttle response. When you get a cam installed, then it definitely is required cause you're messing with air and fuel intake. I feel like people who buy new harleys from dealers get talked into doing this to get more money out of their customers. "Yea, with that new exhaust, you're gonna need a screaming eagle tuner and a dyno tune"
