What a great way to start off 4 days of riding in Colorado. I'm finally Trail 401, which has been on my list FOREVER. I didn't think it would be this amazing. Chasing Epic put together yet another great itinerary and it was great to have folks from the community along for the ride once again.

@FSRMTB 2020 but not all of it is open to bikes. Sections 6 (Kenosha Pass to Breckenridge) and 8 (Copper Mountain to Searle Pass) are open to bikes and amazing rides, without having to travel 6+ hours down to the San Juans.
@mrvwbug4423
@mrvwbug4423 3 года назад
But yes, you can't walk 10ft in CO without tripping over a trailhead haha. If CB is a little far to drive, Breckenridge also has an amazing network of trails, and the front range is littered with trails. Then you have 6 lift access bike parks in the state to boot.

@@RealMTBAddict I should have taken a picture, but just yesterday in the trailhead at Elk Meadow Open Space in Evergreen, CO there was a car wrapped with an advertisement for Bentonville. I thought it was kind of weird, maybe they are trying to get people to move? I don't know. Anyway, right on the side it said "Mountain Bike Capitol of the World." So, at least someone believes it enough to advertise it on the side of their car. I haven't ridden there but would like to check it out. Doubt it is better than Crested Butte, Breckenridge, Winter Park, Steamboat Springs, Durango, Telluride, etc. But probably still pretty good.

@@RealMTBAddict You're probably right. I remember noticing they were sitting in their car when I left for my ride and were still sitting there when I left. No bike rack on the car. I was having a hard time dealing with being inside , at home, and dealing with anxiety. I had fallen off MTB'ing almost all summer season and started to ride steady the past 2 months and I have never felt better! I am back into shape, craving the dirt during my work week and it's what I look forward to most.
