This was my generation..I was born in '54 and spoon fed every great rock and roll song till the 80;s...Watching Ed Sullivan with the greatest acts on Earth gave us all exactly what we needed to get up and boogie....We danced at our high schools..we danced on our local TV stations' American Bandstand on Saturday mornings...We danced in our basements. We danced in our yards and driveways.....the rhythm was in us. And, we couldn't sit still....Now, my generation is in their 60' & 70's and, sadly, we don't dance any more. We're fat, dumpy and our feet hurt.....But, when I see kids groovin' to songs in glorious black and white....I'm back there....That's me with the clean white sweater, slacks and penny loafers rockin' on.

@@bennettappleyard8713 Jones put an ad in the paper for blues musicians to form a blues band. It was answered by a pair of musical geniuses who quickly went on to form one of the most prolific and successful pop music songwriting teams in the world and the core of the Rolling Stones. Jones, who never wrote a song in his entire music career, got very lucky that day. That is historical fact. Nothing I have said about Jones is invalidated by the luck he had that day. Other than the great luck he had that day, Jones was a loser.

I'm 61, old enough to remember meeting Brian Jones. His mother was music teacher at Dean Close school in Cheltenham. Brian had digs at a friends place, the Ethridges, I met him a few times coz mr Ethridge had a telescope and he would let us look . That's when I saw Brian. He wasn't anything then.

@stanley hatfield While for us "older folks" our days are numbered, that is the "unfortunate" aspect. Looking at the positive side: 1. We made it this far, we didn't join the "27 Club" 2. We were there live in person, in real time during that fantastic musical era. We are very FORTUNATE to have "Experienced" at their best moments all of those groups and artists that are now muscial legends, many of which are now up in "rock 'n roll heaven".

Awesome! The bass line to that song sounds great from the hollow body bass guitar and amp. The lead and rhythm guitars are using Fender single and Dual Showman blackface amplifiers. So many groups used Vox and Marshall amplifiers. Fender tube amps forever!
