That motto is how I ended up with a 13 year old desktop PC as my daily driver. In terms of efficiency (both power and my time) I should have upgraded years ago, I was just unaware that I should care about the price of used office PCs that are much faster. If your hardware is a decade old and you care more about it just working than being authentic, pick up a used Lenovo or Dell office PC. Then, once you have that running and are happy with it, you can cannibalize your previous build for video card and the like. At no point in this process are you left without a fully functional desktop PC. So sometimes it's a little bit broken but you don't even think to ask the question because nothing has changed. That 13 year old machine would still work fine if I felt like getting another case and CPU heatsink for it. There, now you can live by "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" by invoking "but would I know if it was broken? I have to clean and inspect, right?". 😈

@@Andy-fd5fg I think a color touch screen, whether it be regular or light pen, defeats the spirit of that Mac. Granted, ethernet and Internet kinda defeat the spirit of it too but that's besides the point.

Until it has a Liquid cooled Threadripper it’s not really that upgraded is it.

​@@Andy-fd5fgi dont think they made touch screen crts that were small enough, though, perhaps the worst version of a touch screen could be used, using either infrared emitters or lasers and their respective collectors on the x and y axis to determine the position of the touch

@@ethandudeman8359 not sure if they did make them that small either. However if there is no CRT touchscreen that small then how about a flat panel touchscreen. That would leave much more room inside the case for other mods
