Soror Elle!!!! I love your locs! I am almost two weeks out from my establishment and have been watching your videos. Thank you for the education! BTW lovely singing at Boule’😉💗💚
I with you. I just let mine be. No styling or anything yet for me. I want to wait at least a year before I start any manipulation to my locs just bc my hair is sooo thin! Looking good girl!
I feel the same way about my sisterlocs I just let them be and I don’t get upset about the little things like shrinkage or whatever either I was worried in the beginning when my entire perimeter slipped out because my hair is really soft but after my first retie I had no problems and I am truly enjoying this journey
Before my hair fully loc’d I used to have slippage in the front of my head. I used to put a few braids in the front, similar to what I did when I braided and banded before shampooing. Hope that helps!
Hey Elle Tee, Love your vids. Your hair looks fab. I am on my SL Journey also and created a vid. Its been a month and due a retie today. I use distilled water and add a few drops of lavender essential oil to my bottle. My consultant advised to add lavender or tea tree essential to help the scalp to prevent it from flaking if I really need to. A few of mine are spiralling at the roots. I'm glad you mentioned it as it felt like knots. Will ask my Loctician about it. But I am also loving the journey and just letting them be. Enjoy. Look forward to more vids.
This is my first time hearing about a hair drug test. Congratulations on your new job! I always ask my loctition if there are any issues with my Sisterlocks. I trust her to tell me and assist me if there are issues with my hair.
Your hair is definitely flourishing and looking great!! I would’ve felt some kind of way about the hair drug test 🤭.. Not my loc!! I never thought about that.. Also, my loctician suggested for me to use “Ooh Oil” for my scalp for itching. I purchased it from Amazon. That’s the only oil I have ever used since I’ve been loc’d. I was established 3/8/20❤️
Im 3 months in and I think you and I are going through the same process With our hair we have the same type of hair and color but my loctician let me use this product called Mane Choice pink lemonade coconut because I feel like my hair has been dry but this helps my hair my little coils not look dry and feel dry I love it. Oh and I noticed this was the only product that didn’t have Cetyl Alcohol in it
They look great. Can we get a video of them up close, loose, 360 and after ur retie next time? But soon would b great, even though you've already gotten ur retie, lol.
Great video! My locs are DIY so I don’t mind using oil on my scalp. To do that, I pour (and portion out) a tiny bit of oil from three different types into one palm and then rub my hands together to mix it all in. Then, I rub my fingertips over my palms, to concentrate the oil there, and apply the oil only to my scalp using just my fingertips. I hope that helps!
