It's Caitlin Clark vs. A'ja Wilson as the Fever take on the Aces 🏀 | NBA Today On NBA Today, we preview the Indiana Fever vs. Las Vegas Aces matchup as Caitlin Clark takes on A'ja Wilson. #ESPN #NBAonESPN #NBAToday
Most guards don’t need constant screens to get open so of course she’s gonna get blitzed. She can’t beat her defender off the dribble most nights 🤷🏾♂️
What is up with the WNBA, ESPN, and Rainbow Mafia Witches commentators? In just 15 games, Clark has already faced off against 14 former All-Defensive players, as for the turnovers - perhaps if her teammates learn how to catch a pass - just keep in mind that Clarks University teammates managed to catch them. On Monday night Magic gave his blessing, saying Clark, Reese and their impact on the game "remind me a lot of Larry Bird ... Basketball legend Michael Jordan caused a social media frenzy when he praised Caitlin Clark as a rare type of player with the most diversity. Like I said, what is up with the WNBA, ESPN, and Rainbow Mafia Witches commentators, two of the best see her for her game, so why not you.
Well said. Most of these guys don't watch the games, they just troll the comment section looking for attention. CC gets double teamed by every single squad she's up against. While the opposing coaches may be bad they're not stupid, they'd much rather take their chances on the rest of the Fever beating them.
I’ve actually seen her play and most of her turnovers are off her trying bullshit street ball passes that her teammates sometimes aren’t even expecting
They should be sure to highlight Reese's awful field goal percentage from point blank range next time they highlight her. Gotta keep that coverage even.
@@taqueets_man, you see how Reese has to plow through literally three defenders to do a layup? Come on now. Last nights game, she had the entire enemy team on her a few times..even then, her field goal percentage is 39.7%. Clark’s is currently 39.1%. Have a seat
It's basketball!! Team ball teammate fumble a pass it's a turnover. No rules will be change because some folks think it's not fair for their favorite player. #PLAYBALL
@@elizabethcarolan1409 this narrative that her teammates are dropping the ball thus causing turnovers is just wrong. I’ve watched her play live 3 times this year and most of her turnovers come from sloppy passes when she’s trying to be fancy.
CC's passes are like men's passes and they're hard to handle if they're not used to them. It took the Iowa girls a lot of time, they were getting hit in the head, breaking fingers, etc. Probably 1/3 to 1/2 of her "turnovers" are uncaught passes.
@stevehardwick7285 She is physically weak so her passes aren’t like men’s at all. She often tries to do too much which results in her record setting turnover pace. Honestly is likely to be her only real record is a record for messing up.
@@billiestevens318and yet she brings more viewers on her own than the WNBA has ever had in aggregate, so… all these so called records that others have set (points without ever passing or being properly defended against, assists without ever scoring and so on) really are meaningless since nobody saw them, or cared.
@@billiestevens318 I'm guessing you're black. You have a different opinion than all of the opposing coaches, sports analysts, etc. I think I'll stick with them rather than a random keyboard warrior, but thanks!
@@billiestevens318 No, she passes the ball at high velocity so you're not watching her to make this comment. And how is she shooting 33 foot shots with such a form if she is so physically weak? you have to have pretty strong legs to shoot such long distance.
Caitlin Clark can score, makes great assists, rebounds, gets steals and blocks!! my girl can do it all! let’s make sure we aren’t tryna dimish anything. Also those TOs are by her teammates not catching passes and bc she’s being guarded harder and blitzed more than any player on WNBA history yall gotta start mentioning that too.
Just curious…. No doubt A’Ja is the real deal, but why aren’t teams picking her up full court denying her the ball. Why is she not regularly double and triple teaming her. I don’t get it it she’s a two time MVP. Why is an OVERHYPED/ UNDERACHIEVING “ rookie getting more defensive attention than A’JA? Explain that to me like I’m a first grader.
A'ja is regularly double-teamed *in the post*, where she operates. She will probably be the main focus of some combination of Boston, Fagenbele and Smith tonight. She's not a guard, she's not bringing the ball up the floor. And she can beat double teams very easily. It makes no sense trying to compare her to Clark. And that is not a diss, it is pretty obvious that Clark is receiving unprecedented defensive attention for a rookie, but comparing her to A'ja conveys a lack of knowledge of the game. Don't be surprised if she drops 30 and 10 tonight.
i don't get it either, why is a rookie in a bad team, who hasn't proven herself yet, is more guarded than the best player in the league who average 27pts a game. it doesn't make sense
The truth is that Wilson is not a major outside threat. But I think the answer you want to hear is that Clark receives more hate. Therefore she gets picked up full court.
There was a stretch when she was knocked down hard after hard hits to the head. She's defended. But she's also a big, strong player. She's also not a PG.
Hold up.... looking at the stats shouldn't CC be on the Olympics? Swing and a miss. The W and the Olympic team aren't taking the easy Ws - they are taking Ls.
Relax on Kelsey Mitchell, she's one of the best scorers in the league. You probably saw a few clips of her dropping passes and think that's her entire game, it's not. Her and Clark were clicking in the last game in case you hadn't noticed.
Oh Clark makes a lot of turnovers but Angel Reese gets double figure rebounds but half of those rebounds are Reese’s missed baskets, her OWN MISSED SHOTS…that’s terrible
You never know. I don't expect the Fever to win but I didn't expect them to beat the Mercury. And it didn't look like they had a chance when the game began. But, they somehow did. Aces haven't been unbeatable this season. I more fear the Liberty.
I was at the game, A’ja went for 28, 9 and 5 blocks while shooting 13-22 from the field, she was +14 today. Caitlin had 13 points, 11 assists and 6 turnovers, she shot 4-12 from the field and 1-7 from 3, she had a -19 (worst on her team) Stop disrespecting the best female player in the world by attaching any bullshit Caitlin Clark coverage you can.
Magic have a lot of turnovers early in his career because when you’re an elite passer many player aren’t prepared and you’re not a lot going to be accurate
Not all her team’s faults, especially not recently. But Fever as a team are right at league average with 13 turnovers per game. CC handles the ball and makes more passes by far more than anyone. A stat tracker site recorded that she also has 1,000 more dribbles than the next player in the league. So yes, she’s going to have a lot of turnovers. But, no they are not hurting her team.
@@closequarters4575 Sometimes players do better when they have more turnovers. Turnovers are not the yardstick for great players. Luka Doncic led the leage in TOs last year. I saw Magic play and he had TOs. Nash had TOs. Westbrook had plenty TOs. And on and on. In the W, Sue Bird had a lot of TOs.Becky Hammon and Tina Thompson did as well. All Hall of Famers. So I don't want to hear this crap about TOs with Caitlin.
@@benjaminsmith2287 none of the people that you named are even close to Clark in terms of turnovers. It’s almost impressive how bad Clark’s turnovers are. Allan inversion had the worst turnovers as a rookie in NBA history (4.4) and even then, Clark’s turnover rate is significantly worse (5.6). Magic was at 4.0. Luka, last season, was at 4.0. Come on now. His worst season was 21-22 season at 4.5 turnovers per game. That’s his worst.
So Aaliayah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell don't matter? Kelsey Plum and Chelsea Gray don't matter. And it's all about Caitlin Clark in a headline yet where was the analysis on the game she played against the Mercury? And Clark should be presented as a brilliant passer and scorer, not just a shooter because her shot is off a lot of the times. But her passing is quite consistent. I couldn't care less about turnovers because a lot of great players turn the ball over and if you analyze the TOs, rather than just state the amount, mostly the bad ones are ball security ones and some are offensive fouls, some are teammates mishandling, some are forced passes or bad passes. But make no mistake about, Caitlin's outstanding attribute is court vision and passing first.
They always hyping up CC turnovers. Yet they don't see the miss easy layup - offensive rebound, miss layup - offensive rebound by the other player. And wait, can i ask who holds the record of 9 consecutive double double?
Always blaming her teammates. She makes bad decisions, she’s not strong enough yet. Her left hand is a little ehhhh. 20% are her teammates not catching it. This fan base is worse than LEBRON.
@@williesaunders6798 he not, these conversations were very different and PREJUDICE in the Early and Late 90's! Jordan just never made "THEM FOLKS" feel uncomfortable, then he shares his 3 billion with a Yt woman..lol, please! BRON no Question, carry on🫡
It's caitlin vs Kelsey, if anything. Do better espn. You have plum in that backcourt. Thats a great match up. Anja is down low against Boston or another big. Do better espn
Friendly reminder that Caitlin Clark is: -The only player in the #WNBA averaging 15/5/5 -2nd the WNBA in assists -2nd in the WNBA in 3 pointers -Leading all guards in blocks -2nd among all guards in rebounds
@@FknTorn-xv2xs I need a better argument. Luka Docic, CP3 , Magic Johnson, Lebron James, usually lead in turnovers. Clark is a rookie , Clark is transitioning to the pros. The haters and media expect Clark to play like a hall of a famer as a rookie 😂 Rookies usually are garbage their first year.
@@butterball_ no they are NOT...just stop! You compare her to any player in the NBA is comical. She makes poor decisions in shooting the ball, and gets too frustrated with STIFF DEFENDERS.. WAVING her hands every time she doesn't get her way..stop it
@@FknTorn-xv2xs I need a better argument. Turnovers means nothing if she’s breaking records scoring the ball and breaking records assisting AND leading the offense as main distributor as a Rookie. Can you come up with a better argument ? Lol
