I wanted to write a song that highlights the current terrible situation in Ukraine at the moment as a result of it experiencing an unprovoked attack from Russia last February.I started writing the song at the beginning of November 2022.I picked up the guitar and instinctively started playing and singing the chorus ‘Sing little children’…, it came out of no where and I ended up, in the space of 20 minutes, with a Christmas themed song called ‘It’s Christmas In Ukraine’ which explains how difficult it is during winter and the build up to Christmas with millions not having heating, water and sufficient food as a result of Russia deliberately targeting Ukraines infrastructure and killing thousands of innocent civilians in the process.
This is a war crime!Russia has realised it cannot win on the battle field against Ukraine so it has resorted to using illegal war crimes.
I make a bunch of music that expresses how I feel and that expresses my struggles and triumphs as a songwriter, musician and recording artist.I love all genres of music and try to express this passion by writing and recording songs and music in a variety of styles, that hopefully appeal to a wide range audience.
