Awesome job guys, it was definitely a cool experience to be there through some of the taping and see all the hard work you guys put in to make these detailed reviews!! Thanks for the hard work and keep'em comin!!!
Absolutely PHENOMENAL video! So much detail, hit ALL of the relevant points, skipped over all the fluff + BS, and delivered it all PERFECTLY... Thank you! I want one of these Trucks SO BAD now, time to sell my soul.
Best intro ever! just wow! what an amazing buggy, loving it! that body is absolutely gorgeous, Thank you as always! PS: the whole time i was thinking, MUST CLEAR PUDDLE!
Such a pro level video, really impressive videography, it was really enjoyable to watch. Just like you I'm so impressed with the ET48 2.0, I did have some initial set-up changes that were required at my local race track, but it was a joy to drive from the get go. I still am getting used to the way it turns, it doesn't have the aggressive nature of my other race set up truggy, which is maybe a good thing, but I do need to slow down much more to make the tightest turns on my track. This is partly set-up, but I will keep working on it to achieve the on power turning I need to exit some of the corners and also getting some more initial bite to enter the hairpins. The way this thing jumps is superb, it actually straightens itself in the air even when I have a bad launch.
Glad I found this video. Been contemplating a new brand having been with TLR for so long. This video made it possible to narrow my decisions to two brands Tekno seeming more likely
Hi, very nice video! About the shock collars, I always put some lite bearing oil in the groove when I install the o-rings. It makes them much easier to adjust.
I kinda feel like a competition buggy doesn't need a car looking body. Better to aim for something optimized aerodynamic alternative. Perhaps the truck bed reduces the chance of air being collected under the car. but the top of the truckbed might be a bit suboptimal no?
I've been away from the hobby for a few years. This truggy just ignited my rc fire. First truggy that I actually like. Maybe this Christmas. God willing.
Love teknos ,if they made more variety i would probably sell all my other rc's &only buy tekno!love my mt410,i just purchased the et48 2.0 &cant wait 2 build it up!!
Wel they have 1/10 scale cars a monster truck, a sct, Ebuggy, truggy, in nitro too. I wonder what vehicle you think they should make? They invented 1/10 truggy.
Awesome job guys never seen you guys do auch an indepth review on an 8th offroad .goes to show how much of a game changer this truck is. I love my ET48 2.0 AND THANK U GUYS FOR MAKING THE BEST REVIEW YET . STELLAR JOB AND PERFORMANCE TEKNO TAKE OVER
I hope you guys will do more 8th scale stuff now that it's racing season both Nitro and or electric hotbodies got a new buggy and truck out also s-works has the new truck out and buggy I don't know if you guys did anything on the Losi buggy and the truck Elite. I'll be there in a couple of weekends in Connecticut to go race hope to meet you guys there at some point. I spoke to Daniel Lewis today on messenger he's at the roar Nationals now the team is preparing I'm trying to sort out a sponsorship from them in the next two seasons so I will be up there regularly as soon as my truck has its Electronics
How much does it cost ???? And since he said it comes with no electronics or tires .... im guessing its not a RTR RC Truck ...... HOW MUCH DOES IT COST AND HOW MUCH MORE MONEY ABOUT DOESIT COST TO GET ALL THE ELECTRONICS AND TIRES ???? HOW FAST DOES IT GO ABOUT TOO ???
@@beukeboom3879 the truck itself cost $650. It's meant as a top-notch Fallout track of killer. To be released at the top or at the highest form of competition. You can either go with Tekin electronic ESC/MOTOR COMBO or HOBBY WING ESC/MOTOR COMBO as those are the two best used for track racing with motors in the 2050 2250 Kv power. You need tires preferably PROLINE BUCKSHOTS or Whole shots . Or J Concepts Reflex or Tripple Dees tired it will cost u total like $1200-$1400 total for a real good race package including a high end Radio(remote) with all the features to race and aet your truck speed and stdering responce from the radio
@Kevin Mendes thanks appreciate the help ....... I used to have a hobby shop like 30 seconds from my house with a dirt track in the back but they closed a long time ago ....and I'm just getting back into this ... I bought a Traxxas X MAXX in January ....... but I want something more nimble and fast !!! I've been deciding between the ARRMA INFRACTION ( wich im not a big ARRMA GUY I GUESS CAUSE I ALWAYS HAD TRAXXAS AND LOSI ) BUT THAT THING LOOKS SICK AND ID LIKE SOMETHING FOR THE STDEET WERE I CAN DO SOME DRIFFTING AND STUFF ... ALSOI WAS CONSIDERING T HE TRAXXAS XO 1 ( I ALREADDY HAVE 4 TRAXXAS BATTERY FOR MY X MAXX 8S AND DUAL CHARGER , THEN WICH I REALLY REALLY WANT TO GET HIS A GAS POWERED CAR I LIKE THE NITRO AND TGERE COOL BUT IVE REALLY BEEN FALLING IN LOVE WITH THE ROVAN BAJA 2 STROKE BUGGYS TGAT ARE LKKE 1/5 SCALE ( THEY RANGE FROM $400 AND UP ..... YOU CAN GET A REALLY GREAT ONE FOR $900 BUR YOU CAN GET A REAL GOOD ONE FOR LIKE $530. ... BUT EVEN THE $400 ONE IS SICK .. IF YOU KEVER WATCHED KEVIN TALBOTS VIDEOS WHOS ONE OF THE BIGGEST YOU TUBE RC CAR GUYS ON THERE .... HES OVER IN EUROPE.... THE ONE BUILDING THE MONSTER TRUCK AND HAS A LAMBORGHINI ..... FROM MAKING MONEY SELLING SHIT ON EBAY .... IM SURE YOU SEEN HIS VIDEOS . BUT THANKS ALOT FOR THE INFO ..... REALLY IDK I F I EVER REMEMBER THAT BRAND OF RC CAR ....... BUT IS A LJTTLE BIT PRICEY FOR AS MUCH AS YOU SAID AFTER ALL DONE AND SAID ???? IT DEFINITELY WIPS AROUND THE TRACK NICE THOUGH .. I GOTTA MAKE A 45 MIN TRIP TO MY NEAREST HOBBY STORE IN LONG ISLAND .... ONLY THAT ONE THEN THERES 2 MORE WICH ARE LIKE A 90 MIN DRIVE ... DAM NEAR QUEENS !!!
Great review - exciting car. If you did want to race on that RC Madness track, would this be a decent car to go with - and what about electronics limitations racing?
Yea u r the real deal sir.what an rc guy.rc driver has got a true partner in you.proffetionalism is your drive.a pro.anyway u have now convinced me to purchase a tekno.i was reluctant due to the building prosses.but il manage thanks to great vids like this one.got to get one for sure.this is an rc car thats a true driving marvel with all it s customisable steering features.what a car that truggy all my cars are 1/8 scale including my truggys.i was only seeimg 1/10 scale tekno s on the net.glad i stumbled on to this subscibtion vid.so this is the next rc for me.thanks rc driver u guys rock
Thx 4 this Video! Even for Bashing this ugly but great functional body offers the indispensable advantage that only few dirt comes inside the chassis and can cause damage to the electronics. That is why I hope aftermarket will offer some plastic protection Parts mountable on top of the front shocktower. If such parts will be available in future, there is no single reason left to mount another body. And with a creative painting it isn‘t even ugly anymore.😀🛺💨💪🤘
Thinking about getting one for bashing. Was gonna get another kraton but these kits Tekno,TLR,associated have to be better quality. Unless I’m overlooking something. I love how the tekno doesn’t use pillow-balls. Hate pillow balls lol
I have his kit just sitting in my living room floor waiting to be built. I haven’t decided how to set it up but this video helps and great look at this amazing truly. I actually like the body design what makes it look weird to me is the little nose piece I kind of wish somehow it was wider to match the body profile and I think people would like it more if that was proportioned. But obviously it’s for performance first
I really wish you had less slow moe shots. Yes the slow mo shows the suspension travel and such but raw footage is always the way to show what the vehicle is capable of. I pit and spot for my buddy who does king of the hammers and raw footage always gives the viewer real time feed back.
6:19 Is it my eyes or are the linkages for the rear suspension mounted in different positions? The right side looks higher than the left side. If so, what's the philosophy of this?
I have to ask this.... With so many other companies moving to pillow/pivot-ball why do you guys think Tekno opted to stick with a C-Hub design? Thanks in advance.
@@writedeanb nice, were the drones tracking the truck or manually controlled to film? What camera were you using on the truck? I have been trying to find out some other ways to record and get footage. So I am always curious when I see some really good video and perspectives.
@@writedeanb nice, I just bought an Insta 360 One X2 and was like I wonder if the Go version would work out for mounting on the RC car. What mount setup did you use for the Insta on the RC?
What a great RC truggy, but I really don't like 1/8 scale, I'm more on 1/10 scale, because of more room for my SUV , 8 scale is too big for me, even a 5 scale, BTW, I'm a former RC racer myself in the Philippines, 10 scale is more comfortable for me
You’ll find that almost everyone in the RC media sphere get given test kits by manufacturers which is why you see bulk Tekno videos lately. If you want to burn bridges, you give them an honest review. The other option is a video like we just watched. Any of the class leading buggies and truggies can compete with the tekno and some (X-ray, mugen) do it with better quality and materials. Like I said, burning bridges with honest reviews won’t happen.
@@alrightletsgo470 having had both a recent mugen and 2.5 generations of tekno, tekno beats mugen in build quality. I cant personally say anything about xray. All I know is that I've driven quite a few truggues and the 2.0 is easily the best
Enjoyable to watch but i kinda wanne hear the real life noises it makes. And wanne see the real behavour without the slow mo stuff..but top quality entertainment vid for sure..
It’s been a tekno takeover at all my local tracks. The pros drive their sponsored cars because they have too. Lol. They feel stuck on slow chassis but can’t say anything. Ah well, losi will be losi. I love my teknos. I haven’t looked back at associated vehicles the same. I used to think they were the top, then you discover brands like tekno and Mugen and realize how junky AE and Losi really are.
I’d agree. But also my Kyushu mp10T e does very well is a top calibre truggy as well on the track if you haven’t tried a race bred kit from Kyosho you should. Although parts aren’t as easy to get in NA
Why would anyone take a Tekno bashing? It is very durable, but a built basher is built to be sturdy, their parts are usually easily available and since they are normally RTR, they are a great value.
@@writedeanb is it really worth the Miney ... I mean I just bought an X MAXX WITH 2 TRAXXAS BATTERIES FOR IT WITH THE DUAL LIVE I.D. CHARGER ....6 MONTBS AGO SINCE THEN I BOUGHT AN A 2 PCK OF STOCK TIRES UNTIL I REALIZED HOW CRAPPY R HEY WERE AND ALWATS RIP D SAME WAY .... SO I SPENT $160 ON NEW TIRES AND RIMS THAT ARE ACTULY A LITTLE BIT BIGGER ... DEFINITELY NOTICE THE DIFEERENCE .... AND I BOUGH 2 EXTRA TRAXXAS BATTERIES FOR IT AND PEND ANBOUT A $100 ON PARTS BUR I REALIZED I ONLY NEEDED LIKE $25 OF PARTS JUST THE BEARING CAME OUT OF THE HUB AND THE WHEEL FELL OFF .. JUST NEEDE AN OVERSIZED BEARING... SO YEA ON THAT I ONE I SPENT A GOOD CHUNCK OF $$$ BUT THATS A RTR BEST PRODUCTION R/C TRUCK OUT .....
@@John-ot8rw I haven't driven that truggy but it's not much different than the one before it which I did own and I've owned several tekno vehicles and they're very nice, but Mugen and HB are on another level... maybe your right the 2.0 might finally be up to par
