It’s a mustang that has air bags in it. They basically let you manipulate how high or low it can go.

Yep what Pantera said. It just has a bag in the middle of the strut that I can fill with more or less air to raise and lower the car. High end luxury cars have used the technology for years. And diesel trucks and semis.

The appeal is just being able to adjust the height of your car on the fly. It can save tons of $$$ in damage and gives you a look only achievable by airbags on mustangs. Static cars brag about being low and static, but are replacing parts like exhausts and tires a lot more often because of camber/toe.

Okay part 2 helped me to understand "bagged" unlike groceries. I personally don't think I will go this direction. But it was interesting. I have a spare tire in my stang, but my buddy has a blowup kit. I suppose you would live without a spare...but why? I definitely don't want to let the car along side a back road here in PA. Too many issues possibly. Happy Thanksgiving!

My car didn't come with a spare and the blow up kit is basically the same. I can add the air tool on the tank instead of one of those plugs and even run air tools off of it. You too man!

It does get warm but not overly hot as far as I can tell. I can still touch it. It does have an emergency shut off for overheating

I have a 2013 mustang gt with the v2 airlift kit and I'm pretty unhappy with the setup. The compressor is mounted directly to the spare tire well so it's super freaking loud, and the tank is mounted upside down on the top of the trunk. I was originally looking for something to house the compressor outside of the spare tire well because I wanted to keep my spare tire (I don't have a track pack). But this setup looks way cleaner and I'm considering just not running the spare tire at all, maybe just getting an inflator kit in case anything happens. Can you do a video on how loud the compressor is with this setup? Maybe without the car running with a decibel meter if you've got one lol. Really impressed with how it came out and I'm pumped to see your future vids!!

7:22-8:00 is all while the compressor is running. To be honest it's so quiet inside the car lol. I was worried about harsh rattling. Do you have your compressor mounted directly to the metal in the spare tire? That's all bad even with the isolators. It will use the body and act like a drum.

@@JacobRDoty Yeah it was just kinda hard to grasp how quiet it was with the engine running lol. but yeah it's mounted directly to the metal so the compressor running travels throughout the entire car. super annoying especially when I turn my car on in the morning haha. I might just copy your setup and even put some isolators between the wood panel. My trunk floor actually fell through and collapsed because the spare tire is gone so i had to cut a piece of wood and use that as a trunk floor, so I might be able to add some sound deadening to that too!

Nice video man. I was wondering what your ride height presets are and what your shock and strut settings are also? I have an 06 gt with the same set up and I have everything pretty soft but it still seems too harsh of a ride. I do live in PA tho and we do have a lot of rough roads. Thanks man.

I just installed a used 3p system on my 2013 and cant figure out why it's so bouncy, I'm waiting to get that resolved before I take it to get aligned. Been messing with the dampening settings but cant find a good spot! I understand that halfway or -16 from full stiff is supposed to be it, but I dont know..not taking away the excessive bounce.
