If you liked this interview with David Goggins Check out this interview I did with Marcus Barney ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-m0UzE5Cb3fI.htmlsi=m_8r52fH7N7pIR4j
50yo lost a career job. Best friend died of cancer. Depressed drinking everyday and eating fast food. I will bounce back. David Goggins thank you for the inspiration
i had tears as well. it's the tough but compasionate love, regardless of how much Goggins says he doens't have empanthy. He give up his time, space, and his mental peace everytime he does these things for his love for humanity and the true potential for all humans that are alive. It's the darkest places that we find the purest of light in ourselves, from a space of safety, honesty, intregetiy. I always felt i was not worthy of love, but i turned that demon into my strength, I will not rest untill everyone person who ever felt lonley, sad, angry, etc. is at peace. it's a type of energy i have never felt. my whole family is supportive but confused, once you find ur trueself you will find the meaning in the suffering, and for me i'm glad i went through everything i went through. I wouldn't have had this level of compassion and drive to save people. I hope you find some peace in life brother.
Never alone, i lost my father for another family, maybe i cant relate as much, my mother is supporting us, and im one of the cornerstones maybe The cornerstone that would helo my family as much as possible, i seek help but they never help, so its always yourself thats at the of the page, so be it or dont
I want to thank that young man at 48:45 for asking an honest question about not knowing what to do. I'm 33 and I still have no idea which direction to go or what to do with my life. So many motivational speakers talk to the people who at a young age already knew what they wanted. But so many people are in the other category where they have no idea what they want or what direction to go in. I sit down and reflect for years on what I want and nothing is clear to me. Nothing compels me to be pulled forward in a direction.
I think the trick there is exploration. If you want to learn to play Guitar, but you've never been open enough to go to a rock concert, it probably won't dawn on you, that you're a Guitarist at heart, but you haven't found it yet. Trying to fill yourself up with experiences and following anything that makes you curious is at least what I done and I got super lucky finding around 5 big time hobbies that light me up massively. Most recently I got in to Photography - I saw a lightning phenomena online that I thought was fascinating, which set me a 'I must see that in real life' mindframe and so now, I'm a few years in. All these hobbies just came from a coincidental 'that looks amazing - I want to do that!' and never thinking anything was unrealistic (although most of my goals have taken some years, but not been a 'become an astronaut' level of goal) - Follow your nose, and take a bite out of everything that smells good until you find some favourite dishes/hobbies! All the best to you.
I deal with a lack of direction also. A tool I use is thinking about what I want my headstone to say or what I want said at my funeral and work backward from there.
What do you hate in life? Is there a technique to avoid that? Can you master that technique, bring innovation to it, teach it to others? Put some of that "Maximize the minimal potential " in the mix, and bam! You're set your start from scratch.
This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my RU-vid channel 8 months ago about self development. Now I have 910 subs and > 700 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.
@@hm2011100 Whoever you are, I don't know you personally but I can say that you're one of the non-judgmental and open-minded people who is not fixated on tangible or external factors in order to learn from someone like me. Just because someone doesn't have a piece of paper as a credential, doesn't mean that person is not entitled to share personal experiences with the hope & intention to inspire others. Keep up with whatever it is that you're doing to improve mankind or improving your life even to a slight degree each day. This is just one part of a bigger puzzle for creating my RU-vid channel about holistic health. I literally could have died back when I was 14 years old due to major depression but here I am right now replying to you, a RU-vidr, who's full of fulfillment and dedication to help others to be a better version of themselves. I ain't better than anyone else but my old self. That's all that really makes this RU-vid thing more meaningful and enjoyable. Thanks so much for your support! I am hoping that you can join me with this endless personal development journey! :)
It takes about 10 years to become an overnight success. Keep improving your game and strive to be the best person you can. That is the best bet you can make, even if you might change goals.
@@hanswoast7 Thank you! I recently quit nursing as I hate it and it doesn’t make me fulfilled at all. Working in a very toxic environment isn’t worth sacrificing for. I then decided to slowly dig my way out. I am now an office manager in a clinic and do creative stuff via RU-vid and freelancing. It’s still a corporate job but I’m happier than working as a Nurse. I like the people I work with and they treat me with respect and as a human-being. That’s what’s more important to me. Having a sense of purpose through creating online content I truly care about also helps a lot. My freelancing gigs also give me creative outlets. I like the variety of tasks of being a manager as well as it offers tons of creativity. This job also gives me more free time for myself and I can spend some time socializing with my loved ones and meeting new folks. I couldn’t have been much happier if I didn’t start taking actions to change my life.
"The basis of the highest form of faith is the decision to accept the proposition that whatever happens - if you live in truth - is by definition the best thing that can possibly happen, despite your inability [...] to see that. That is a statement of faith, because there is no way of demonstrating the validity of that proposition before enacting the hypothesis. You have to commit to it." -- Jordan Peterson ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TxHkA4DOWMo.html
Great inspiration!!!!! I've listened to this video during my last few workouts. I actually stopped listening to music for my workouts. It's only self growth and improvement podcasts and videos for me. My man Goggins is leading the way! It's 70 and sunny! I've lost 100 pounds in the last year and a half! Doing it the hard way and it is tough! I I have another 100 pounds to go. I will get it done...I AM GETTING IT DONE! LET'S F****** GO!
I'm 16 now, but when I started listening to goggins I was so fucking weak. As I kept training and listening to him, I built a strong mind, and I would never think I'd be able to wake up at 4 am everyday to train and then off to school. Thanks, Goggins.
Train for what lol 😂 the Olympics ? I guess basically pushing your body to the brink of death is going to magically transform you into the person of your dreams bunch of lady boys build a strong body and strong mind essentially through working out is his model for success…. Society is not changing laws are not changing positivity is not spreading how can you be a positive person with a narrow mind ?… his first flaw is assuming all humans are the same we ARE not this is most commonly associated with the slave mentality that the 👨🏻🦳men built they think everything is that cutthroat diversity doesn’t just apply to ethnicity it applies to all building blocks of life as in people are like music not everyone plays to the same instrument not everyone makes the same sound not everyone wants what he preaches some people are hard work driven some people are peace driven some people are dreams driven some people are aren’t driven an just like to exist in this world until a person comes spreading a message of revolution in the sense of reforming how we think because like David goggins an most of AMERICA we all have the mind of a slave
Out of every one hundred men, ten shouldn’t even be there, eighty are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back. Goggins is the one.
Man imagine being that kid on the iPhone. You answer and there’s DG telling you good job and you got a crowd clapping for you. That’s awesome man. I was in the same place that kid was at though...so I just tried to picture that he was looking at me, and that crowd was clapping for me.
It is extremely admirable to witness how a strong man is also kind, humble and respectful in his own way!!! Without political politeness! My great respect to a great leader and an authentic role model in society!!!!
This guy is all about redemption. He redeemed himself out of the pit, and the cesspool of humanity that he was dealt, and out of the darkness that he saw in himself ~~ and he brought thousands upon thousands with him. HUGE respect, David Goggins. I'm one of them.
David Goggins saved my Life. Before January 13th I was suffering from severe Depression, Drug and Alcohol Addiction and weighing 300 pounds obese male and I had hit rock bottom. I was suffering tremendously and I had to make a choice. I started exercising everyday day left social medi for good and slowly started getting better. Today it is June 18th 2024 and I went from being 300 pounds to 239 pounds in six months. Haven't missed a single day of exercising and the most important part is that I no longer Suffer from depression. David Goggins is the true answer to everyone's self doubt and sickness. I am never going back to my Old self. STAY HARD!!! 💪😎🐐🔥
I loved this especially about how he responded to the 26 year old that has absolutely no clue what to do In life. It was raw and no sugar coating. Make a man out of yourself no one gonna turn you into a man for you ..
Wow, this video resonated with me on a deep level! 🌟 The insights about finding direction and discipline are spot on. It reminded me of a quote by David Goggins: 'The only way to grow is to embrace the discomfort.' 🚀
I set my 💪 alarm for 5:30am. I hit snooze until 7am. I shower before going to work but usually call in sick or have to bring a pretend relative to a doctor appointment, then wake up at noon. Not sure what I do after that but soon it’s 5:30am and I hit snooze. It’s hard being lazy too people. Takes consistency and discipline. ❤
Whoa this video had me hooked from the 1st second it was beyond inspirational and motivational thank you so much creating this and David Goggins - gawd damn I’m staying hard 😂🙌🏽🫶🏽👏🏽
I couldn't imagine running 100 miles at 250 pounds without training. I ran 10 miles when I was 15 and was a slim 160 pounds and that felt like a lot. I could barely walk after.
if you get after it, you could easily do it in a years time. and by then, guaranteed you will not weigh 250 any more. short-term, you should set smaller, easier goals to reach. the key is to reach them and keep going.
Hearing David Goggins talk about weak people reminds me of Ryan Day at Ohio State. Top talent and beat by the rival who puts in the work. Hard work beats talent…
Another David Goggins video right on time 💪🏾💪🏾 Thank you These questions are great!!!! Let’s gooooo!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I’m gonna start telling my friends to record themselves because I’m tired of hearing their problems in the same shit year after year It was the mom and him saying to FaceTime him. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾Always Big respect for David Goggins.
Dude sounds like a negative ,pessimistic hardass at first. But when you actually start to listen to his words, you realize he's pretty honest, & he's actually a pretty optimistic guy. Because true optimism, doesnt have to sugercoat the truth. Since it already believes, deep down, that there is a place inside you that can overcome this.
I had such an big fear of becoming an late bloomer because in the situation I was in working a 9-5 at 18 already because of covid, being broke, couldn't afford college and almost failed high school with my teacher literally saying "working a 9 - 5 is fine too". I am now in my second year studying immunology, work out daily, meditate and could finally move out of an broken old home with my parents at 22. Everything is possible if you work on whatever you have in mind 💪🏻
The last response on leadership is real. You only learn it from being a new leader. Definitely uncomfortable and the knuckle dragging approach doesn't work. Being tactful and a different leader to each individual is Golden. Everyone is different...Everyone needs a different way of learning and Guidance. Happy Birthday America 🇺🇸
As a single momma, i FIND the time. 💪🏼☀️ NO EXCUSES edit- this man brings tears to my eyes man. i love and admire him so much. Thank you God for this man
"We are living in a time when flowers are trying to live on flowers, instead of growing on good rain and black loam. Even fireworks for all their prettiness come from the chemistry of the Earth. Yet somehow we think we can grow feeding on flowers and fireworks, without completing the cycle back to reality." - Ray Bradbury Goggins is awesome, and I probably need more of him in my life, but I say listen to your body. Go at your own pace. Goggins is the type to drink coffee, and then run until his heart stops beating
