How about an episode talking cities top 5 jobs in need, and pointing people to things that are always needed in society like electrician or dental assistant(huge bonus and need in many states)
I don’t know how but you’ve managed to package an unbiased analysis that is more entertaining than the sensationalized segment of economic and financial news. Thank you for your efforts to be the signal and not the noise. I understand that the economy is currently in a downturn and that we must wait for things to get better
As hard as it may sound you can plan for the recession. If you are working, find extra work and get an Invest--advisor. Protect your deposits by having enough cash in short term fixed income. Then cut your expenses. Minimal insurance, cut utilities.
I think the current market might give opportunities to maximize profit within a short term, but in order to execute such strategy , you must be a skilled practitioner
Due to my demanding job, I lack the time to thoroughly assess my investments and analyze individual stocks. Consequently, for the past seven years, I have enlisted the services of a fiduciary who actively manages my portfolio to adapt to the current market conditions. This strategy has allowed me to navigate the financial landscape successfully, making informed decisions on when to buy and sell. Perhaps you should consider a similar approach.
Even if you have a humongous income you still need to draw up futuristic plans because anything can happen. One could lose one's job or whatever. Investment cannot be overemphasized. About your advisor, how does one reach pls
Finding financial advisors like Melissa Terri Swayne who can assist you shape your portfolio would be a very creative option. There will be difficult times ahead, and prudent personal money management will be essential to navigating them.

i was watching a video explain how the buying of bonds and debt works... our entire fed. reserve system is basically one big ponzi scheme. look up comparisons of our govs financial system and a ponzi scheme... sucks
Not to mention the 'inflation' scaremongering. Well comeuppance is a bitch. I stopped spending frivolously on most things about 5 years ago when I saw the writing on the wall. I just wish I would have bought Uranium. It was all the rage and about 5x less than it is now :(
They never count Recessions until corporations are hurting. And yet demand falling is how corporations end up hurting. So basically, they don't give a crap about the common man.
I got this notification seconds after I swiped my card for $550 at Costco for basics. I’m spending $800 a month for a family of five up here. Used to be $450 a month. I’ve gone through my recipts and if you look at individual items it didn’t seem too bad but it’s the total bill that’s important. I make over 120 a year and I’m struggling bad. Idk how anyone is still buying houses.
fuel surcharges since 2020 made all items also tack on more price as they are all delivered... throw in nonsemse doubling of insurance for truckers and we all pay for it... its all rich corps charging whatever they want
That sucks bro. I don’t know how people are buying houses but houses are selling within a week in my neighborhood for asking price or more. Not everyone is struggling
We should all just stop spending our money at ALL these places. We need some new corporations that value being fair to consumers. We need a whole new world with corporations with actual compassionate human values.
I've always been fiscally tight and fiscally responsible. As a consequence my house is paid for, my rental properties are paid for, all my cars are paid for, and I pay my one VISA credit card in full every month. I also repair my cars to save even more money. The feeling of being free from debt is intoxicating. I'm 62.
Same here! And I'm doing it on $19.50/hour with an unemployed wife raising two kids at home! One key is to buy a cheap house on the cheap side of the city in a cheap state - and do your own small repairs as they become necessary.
Good for you, it’s a great feeling to have others owe you isn’t it? It is a good thing there are people out there working their tails off to pay us rent interest, and all the rest. Go human race!
You should probably find cars that don't need to be repaired.... :) 13 yr old car, bought it 3 years used. $0 spent on repairs, only maintenance and tires. So crazy I bought the same brand again. I always budget a certain amount towards repairs for used vehicles, but am still a bit shocked I've never had to do anything on this one.
Im 26, make 250k a year, live with 2 other roommates. People and some of my family call me crazy "Why don't you just live alone?? Why do you drive a 2004 car???" I pay $1000 a month in rent and live under 2 miles away from my office, gonna actually just get rid of my car and cut that expense out of my life too. Consumerism is a disease.
Whose the guru you're about to pimp to us in the comments with a bunch of bots? All kidding aside, this is the way. I've always lived like I was still in college. At a certain point, life gets far too easy and you wonder why other people are so dumb to follow the debt rabbit down it's dirty hole. Unless you can fund productive assets with debt (that service that debt), don't go into debt. In a few years, you'll be that guy who bought property with cash when the deals were too good to pass up.
That’s how you get rich and amass millions. Even if you just save six figures it’s amazing, but you’ll likely afford a house quickly this way. THE FASTEST WAY. Everyone else online is like “just manifest MORE MONEY and keep spending and enjoying ur life” like where B, how many people who said that actually started making 500k+ a year. Like no one. All the broke B’s stay broke forever thinking that they can keep spending every cent and being deluded that one day a million bucks will fall into their bank account.
That's not new. I got that from family members when I was 25 years old. I was making far less than 250k. Its doesn't matter how much you earn. They will always say you need to spend more to enjoy life.
@@joanneburford6364 Maybe he's a hunter who hunts for his food. A lot of people still do that, you know. Frankly, in this economy, it's probably a huge relief to be able to hunt for free food.
At the end of the day it is just people from bloodlines controlling the rest of the people not from their own bloodlines through manipulation. This problem is spiritual and always has been. Let go of your attachment to your acorns (Greed and jealousy) and view work and study as something to look forward to. If you aren't looking forward to your job or your study than maybe the question you need to ask yourself is WHO is making you feel that way? Employees quit bosses, not jobs. Employers fire hindrances not employees. I can guarantee you that it is the vermin of society making you miserable not the work or study.

My wife is a manager at KOHL'S. She says it is dang near impossible to find & hire anyone under 30 with actual work ethics. Constant call off's, complaining about work schedules, showung up under the influence of something, leaving work in mid shift, and an overall attitude of entitlement. Its crazy. She says occasionally we get a new hire thats a good fit, and they go overboard to keep them and move them up to compensate their efforts both in pay and promotions. This is an excellent video with solid, real life advice.
Can't they hire people over 30? I know a lot of people wanting work around 50 that it's harder for them to get hired because employers seem to want younger people.
@@beebuzz959 yes. And they have many employees that are seniors. They've done everything they can to fill positions. They are just not getting (enough) applicants to fill the vacancy's. And there are some good younger employees there, which have been performing well & being rewarded appropriately. But unfortunately, a lot of younger new hires don't work out performance wise, or they only want to work certain ours in a given week. The huge sign out front "NOW HIRING" has been replaced three times due to fading. My wife is 48. Most of her employees are in their 50's-late 60's. And in all honesty, some have their problems too. But not from attendance or lack of performance or efforts, in their job requirements. To be frank, they're simply older and have their share of the aches & pains from working their entire lives. Something she is well aware of having done the same...as has many of us in this world. And be assured, she is not a slave driver type of boss. And is constantly looking out for her employees. Again, respectively... She is continuously asking head executives and corporate to get her more youthful employees. Maybe offer incentives to bring in new hires that appeal to their younger age groups. But to be honest once more, they already do. Unfortunately, most don't last. And to re-adress an earlier comment about pay & perks...my wife was hired just after we relocated from southern California to here. (Just looking for a seasonal, part time job) Within 3 weeks they asked her to become full time, then a month later made her permanent full time with the ability to work as much overtime as she wanted. Two months later they asked her to be a Manager. She said she'd think about it. But they came up to her and pulled her into the executive office and told her they had filled that position. And literally handed her, the promotion documentation, with a generous pay and benefits package. So that was when she decided to make it a career in retail, for Kohl's. Been there going on 6 years now. And because of that, she was able purchase this home, about 5 miles from her work, yet in a beautiful rural area just outside of town. And since, has seen several others offered the same treatment. If they get "A good one" new hire, they pull that employee aside and tell them this exact experience and urge them to stay. Some have, but most younger employees simply don't really care. The ones that did, are doing allot better in life than they thought was possible working from Kohl's. Like my my wife.
Lol... pretty sure the US government was delighted to see the virus targeted elderly people... complete nursing homes wiped out..all residents gone.. every single one of them draining the social security system... that was a huge blessing for the federal government...all the money they gave away during stimulus was probably gained back in a year or two from the reduction in social security recipients..
oh and dental work... huge wait in many michigan dental offices, 100 plus waiting list in 3 counties.. they have a 5000 new hire bonus also. just one company heh
@@Rebecca-ci3zcyes, but the opposite may be true too. Lower the prices of goods to near pre-pandemic and you could A) have fewer people stealing and B) make more sales which could recoup costs for the lost revenue from higher prices. Plus companies need to be creative to cut costs in other areas.
As a 78-yr-old boomer trying to live without debt on fixed retirement and SS, I can't imagine going on vacation on credit. Nor would I cash out some of my gold to vacate. (It's for a rainy day.) It does make a difference if you are married and have two incomes. When you are widowed; I live with hardly anything. My check comes and goes. I cannot do two jobs like when I was younger. Too tired. God Bless.

That is one reason I am against the student loan "forgiveness". Back in the 2000's and 2010's, a lot of people were making all these videos of themselves taking exotic vacations and bragging about how they took student loans to do so. I don't need to pay for that.
I am generally against bail outs. Considering thousands are given to "new arrivals", I would rather American citizens benefit from these taxpayer funded ventures.
I went to college in 2010 and I certainly know that is very true. A buddy of mine still has student loan debt today, and many of those loans went to apartment utility bills and video games, as well as tuition and meal plans.
obviously that's only a small part of the loans they got (most went to the school). the school budgets $X for living, if you have a super cheap apartment you have money left over which you could go on vacation with. Are you really butthurt that someone saved $200 a month over the year and then went on a trip over the summer instead of spending it on beer?

Debt free except mortgage. I used to have bad credit because of credit cards. I went back to using cash for everything, it helped me learn to control spending, and get creditors paid off. I wanted to be debt free, but it took several years to get credit cards paid off. I learned to say, “no, you don’t need that”, and I still say that. Grocery budget has gone through the roof, gas too, these last three years. We need to do better, as a country. Vote better.
You do realize, Frank, that the money earmarked to assist Ukraine is not actual pallets of cash sent over there. That money is given to American arms companies, employing American workers, to make munitions and send THOSE to Ukraine. So the money is being put into our economy, but our economy cannot be sustained by the government printing money, that will cause hyperinflation.
The problem is the government will always love spending regardless of what party is in charge. Both parties make poor poorer, rich get richer and debt gets worse. Rinse and repeat.
The problem is that many people just spend money on stupid shit. Everybody wants to look good, have the latest car to show off and live in a house they can’t afford. Now it’s time to pay the price for those dumb choices.
@@searchforthetruth1998 I have no doubt it will happen but it will come too late for the consumer including me because I don't want high prices either. I have a gut feeling we'll see oil explode higher at some point and especially if they try to lower rates. Worse the US production data looks fake/manipulated and the reality is likely not as good as it seems. We might have to suffer more inflation for a year or two.
The goal is to keep prices high, to eventually drain as many people of their wealth. All shortages are made up, but it provides cover for the actual agenda of relieving people of the property and savings.
I'm in a similar position, no credit cards, no car loans and I paid off my house in 2023. The bit at the end really nails it, a little sacrifice today will go a long way in the future. Solid advice, thanks for sharing this wisdom.

They always pass taxes obey consumers, that's just a fact. They couldn't be in business otherwise. However, price-gouging is a thing, and Democrats have retired to pass bills that would investigate and stop it, but they were blocked by republicans. Look it up. republicans then went on TV to complain that Democrats "weren't doing anything" about inflation. And when they were called out about it, republicans said there was something in the bill they didn't like. However, they have The House, and even if they didn't, they have the power to put forward bills themselves and/or to tweak ones Democrats put forward. But republicans have not. If they wanted to, they would. Democrats just finally got one passed, but I haven't looked into it yet, and it might not affect us for a while either.

This is a great example of charging a higher price for even less product than before the pandemic. I find myself saying today’s sale price was last year’s regular price about so many things every time I go shopping for the last few years. I say it again and again every year since Covid. How long can this go on for? Companies are shrinking sizes again with the new round of “lower prices” on the horizon. I only buy Gatorade when it’s on sale at the grocery store and I usually buy Powerade nowadays because it’s on sale more often. The prepping crowd had it right all along albeit for different reasons.
