The problem withe the one step evolution is that they give less atk compare to leveling up 5/5,I know it becoz I tried it on purgatory meli and the one step evolution gives 5k atk on lv 90 but when I level him up 5/5 he has an atk of 6k,there's a 1k difference.

How the hell did you reverse his level up from 90 back to 0? You probably leveled a different meliodas and got confused.
