If a pro (shop) installs it, get a remote start installed while you're there. It's a GREAT option to have. It'll preheat or precool your vehicle before you get there.
Installed mine yesterday using the previous video. Something to note that was different on my unit than the install - the audio when using Line Out was horrible (right side speakers would hardly work). I switched this morning to the External Speaker port and that fixed it for me. Excellent call out as well changing the Bluetooth setting for phone calls and checking for while playing music.
@@BeatSonicUS I did, better audio quality out of the External Speaker port than the Line Out port. So perhaps the unit I received was reversed? The Line Out sounded like it was in mono.
on my 2015 lexus gx460, the buttons on the left side of the screen where “nav” is supposed to be, i have the play and pause button instead. will this system still work?
@@xtubejr Yes. It needed a firmware update and I sent it to BeatSonic rather than do it myself… came back better than before. It occasionally had a Bluetooth connection issue but not insurmountable. I just turn the truck off and turn it back on… good to go.
The price seems a bit outrageous considering I've added similar functionality to other cars for much less, but something I'll be interested in when I get my wife her GX460.
You're right, but considering how small this market is the price needs to be higher, espacially for the product made in usa. I'm pretty sure clones will pop up on ali very soon for half price...
This Video is very helpful! Can you show how the Android auto works? I'm a bonafide Android user and would like to see the Android display. This would be very helpful!! Thank you!!
Hi, I've got a 2017 GX460. I've just seen the video and am very much interested. Do you have a distributor reseller in the UAE (Abu Dhabi) where I can purchase it from or do you ship it internationally.
So, I have a couple of questions: Is the audio interface strictly through the aux or does it also integrate through USB? I just don't want to be stuck with a stereo input to a system with full surround capabilities. Does the mic button on the steering wheel function for controlling Android Auto? Ideally wirelessly. It seems that you are using the stock mic, but how about that button? That's one of the capabilities that I miss having from my AA install that I had on my 4R.
This video should answer all your questions ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9m6twrys-hQ.htmlsi=jT6572qrg-r7JnRk The audio now is routed to the car’s Bluetooth. You may also use the factory usb source for audio. The mic button on the steering wheel is locked to the factory system but you can long press the menu button on Android auto screen to summon Google assistant
Do you have a version of this kit for the 2006 LS430 with ML/NAV? I have seen the two screen version MVA-24l but would love to keep the Nav screen in the original place so you can view it and still see the road.
Why people don't buy and mount a cheap Samsung tablet using an aux cable into the speakers? Sure it will look cumbersome but it's way more useful than that laggy stuff and the cost/headache with these internal parts.
Many would prefer a factory integrated system over a separate screen attachment which may impede your view and not look as clean. Especially with cables that are routed throughout your interior. In addition, your calling quality will suffer. Our kits are not laggy and does not create any headaches. But it is costly
I have a 2019 Lexus gx460 and I want to buy the system, I tried to contact the company by phone and I can only do it by mail, I want to be sure of what I am buying, so I called. Can you tell me the safest way to buy the system? funny
You may purchase it here www.beatsonicusa.com/lgvifcb4.html if you would like to speak with us over the phone, please leave a message after calling us at 714-994-1085 or email us and request for a phone call at info@beatsonicusa.com thank you
Do you have a link to the newest video? Every video I look at for the GX says to Please watch our latest videos...but there is no link to the latest one. And I am not confident that the video link on your website for the CB4 product is the latest...
I just ordered mine 2 weeks ago and it is expected to ship early November. Do you have a summary of the differences and installation changes I should know since this will be the newer version (shipping after sept 1st)?
Here’s a long video that show all the features with our newest wireless unit ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9m6twrys-hQ.htmlsi=6cRCel3C2rNBjheO
hi I ready installed CarPlay & android auto in my 2018 Lexus GX in last year but i want to change to wireless. Do I need to buy the other unit or just changing one of the part in the unit I had ?
How well/ easily does this device auto connect to the phone? Does it auto connect to the phone when it starts up or does the user need to manually connect every time?
I saw in one of your videos where a blank switch was replaced with USB inputs so the phone can be connected by cable rather than bluetooth. Does that part come with the kit? If not, where can I get that?
Hi Eric I enjoy your video you’re one of the best I ever seen so far , I have Lexus IS 250 and I want to install the wireless car play I wonder how much it will cost me and I want to do it for me , I am in Canada or maybe if you know someone in Canada around GTA Toronto area , I will really appreciate and look forward to hear from you . Thanks I will email you as well.
I am pleased to hear that you are enjoying our videos! Unfortunately we don’t have an installer near you but any reputable local car stereo shop will be able to install the kit for you as it comes with detailed instructions in addition to video guides like what you see here. We are also available for tech support as well!
I want to get this for my 2021 but am concerned that I have to remove so many pieces. The truck is solid and doesn’t have any rattling, so I’m concerned removing factory pieces and putting them back will cause pieces to rattle. Has anyone experienced that?
We have sold a few thousand of these in the last 2 years to GX owners and haven’t had one mentioning about rattling dash after install. I’m confident that you will be ok
I installed the beatsonic in 2014 GX460 and am completely, However, the source for the audio on my phone goes back to the car's bluetooth randomly and I have to manually select the carplay option. Its a minor annoyance, but would be great if it can be fixed.
The phone AI needs to get used to your “new habits”. For now when that happens, summon Siri with any command and the audio source will go back to “carplay”
@@BeatSonicUS I have been using it for atleast 4-5 months, so I guess I really have some "bad habits" that phone AI is not getting used to. The Recall siri seems to be working , however, since I have started using that trick . I have seen that the sound input somehow changes to bluetooth from Aux sometimes. But these are minor annoyances. Overall I like the product very much and works seamlessly.
No it does not affect your warranty as long as the device is installed correctly and no damage was done by the installer. Yes it is easily reversible as the kit is plug and play
Can you use Android voice commands like "hey Google, driving directions to nearest gas station"? Or do you have to manually input like you demonstrated?
Could you add a subwoofer to this install by using a 3.5mm splitter on the line out? Use one for the audio and the other for a 3.5 to rca adapter for a subwoofer?
Would I need to install that USB cable? The car already has USB ports in it, so couldn't I just use those for charging? Or do those default to data transfer as well?
You done need to install that USB cable but I recommend that you do to be able to make full use of all the functions of the device. You can use it for wired Carplay/Android auto or for charging which is faster than the factory usb ports
Awesome! If you need assistance, please email us at info@beatsonicusa.com. Also I recommend you review our newer video that was posted after this one for some harness change
So my wife uses Apple and I use Android... so would this work for both phone types? Or is this working for only one type? I only ask because your website requires for info on which phone type I have...
It works for both iPhones and Android. We ask for the phone type so that if any tech support is needed in the future we will have the information necessary to help diagnose the problem
I love the look of this product! But I notice on the FAQ you mention that the factory XM radio won’t be usable while in CarPlay mode- is that correct? Am I unable to keep the media selection as SAT when I do the long press to get into CarPlay? What happens if I never select AUX as my source- does it cut out the radio and not play any audio? Thanks!
There are two ways to use the XM Radio while using carplay. First and recommended way is to download the XM radio app on your phone so that you can use it in the Carplay interface. Second is to use it in the Lexus infotainment system by selecting XM radio and then long press NAV to switch the screen over to carplay. With this second method, you will not be able to hear turn by turn directions or Siri.
Thank you for sharing. I see the phone mirror option in the video. Is this feature fully functional in the Lexus GX and is this included with the shipment you have coming on 12/9 with the wireless CarPlay.?
