"What was the point of this meeting? Nothing was accomplished." What do you mean? Charlie proposed her idea, they shot it down. Then, they announced the extermination will be pushed up to 6 months instead of a year. All in all a very productive meeting.
Be advised: yes, listen to the music, but pay extra attention to the words they SAY. It’s very important. It physically HURT ME when you ignored the songs.
kyle the point of the meeting was "we are moving up the schedule, it is now every 6 months" Something that I will forewarn is the songs in this are very plot relevant
True, both the song lyrics *&* the visual storytelling is very important. Not to sound complain-y, but (& this is a peeve of mine when watching reactions) I hope in the future they _pause_ it when they're turning their attention entirely on something else (like looking up Adam's voice actor) or they're just going to be super confused & miss a ton.
"What is the point of the song?" Since you and Kirby talked over it, Adam's song was about how the sinners have no chance at redemption and is moving up the extermination date to 6 months
So I’m not the only one that was irritated about this. Talking over the song, makes me think that they watched this beforehand before they started filming.
@@Toonamp they likely wouldn't have been so taken aback by a familiar voice. I mean, cool they're interested, but a quick "wait wait wait pause a sec" would'a made everyone happy.
I think it is a little bit amusing that they didn't see what the point of the meeting was. It was to display to Charlie that angels are not exactly what she might think from her own personal interpretation.
A word of advice for the two of you for the following episodes, you NEED to focus and pay attention cause each episode will throw A LOT at you incredibly fast. That's the drawback of an 8 30min episode season but can blame Amazon for that.
@@kost9478 Amazon is the one that ultimately decides the "time slots" for their shows. A24 and Vizziepop have to abide by that and produce the product so it will fit in the available "Time slots"
Yeah. I really, really, greatly enjoyed this show. I didn't see the pilot until after seeing all of season 1, and didn't even know this was such an anticipated show. But man, I do feel like it would've done better with 12 episodes for season 1. Really hoping season 2 is a full cour of 12 eps (or, lucifer willing, 24 eps)
So on the VA changes these are the following Erika Henningsen as Charlie Morningstar (replacing Jill Harris) Blake Roman as Angel Dust (replacing Michael Kovach) Stephanie Beatriz as Vaggie (replacing Monica Franco) Amir Talia as Alastor (replacing Edward Basco) Keither David as Husk (replacing Mick Lauer)
Try paying attention to the lyrics of the songs next time, they aren't simple songs, they tell important information and are used as a form of storytelling.
18:02 Alastor was largely off-camera during the commercial, we mostly got his voice. We saw his hand for a bit as it waved across the screen but it was staticky, much like when Vaggie tried to film him. The same thing happened with the second commercial, with Alastor standing off to the side. I was expecting Alastor to give Vaggie an older style movie camera when she asked for a video camera. The model was newer than I thought it would be given the first camera he gave her.
17:18 There is a theory that nifty, lived during the time of silent films, so she thought that they were making a silent film and that vaggie was just going to add the text in post.
Niffty died in the 1950s, and she's 22. Considering the fact that sound film was popularized in the 1930s, this is unlikely to say the least. Of course, this is assuming Vivzie hasn't changed her mind about Niffty's date of death in the last 4 years.
Vaggie is voiced by Stephanie Beatriz who voiced and sang as Mirabel Madrigal in Disney's Encanto. Also there's like two songs per episode in this show and ALL of them are FANTASTIC!
If you notice, in the advertisement that Alastor made first, all you see of him is his hand, and anytime it comes into screen, the screen gets staticky.
This episode DOES depend on you watching the pilot. Which means that this episode as its own start of the original is not exactly the best, but MAN were long time fans rewarded. They’ll just be rewarded more in every episode. And I can’t WAIT for next one. I think that one has my favorite song.
I don't agree, I think one could jump in the show without the pilot and still catch up without issues, although surely having watched the pilot gives you a headstart. But you can tell the show does not expect the viewers to have watched that first
the point of the meeting is that they are angels and they made a deal with Lucifer. that they come down and exterminate (sinners non-hellborn people in hell so Charlie and Imps and hellhounds and the Sins are safe ) once a year. but it must be a part of the contract that they can't just move the time table without a meeting letting them know.
This is One Hell of a Show with such Heavenly Voices - Charlie is voiced by Erika Henningsen who also voices Miss Alvina (Fright Krewe), Ania (Curses), but is more known for her role as Cady in Broadway version of Mean Girls - Vaggie is voiced by Stephanie Beatriz known for playing Rosa (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Mirabel (Encanto), Kima (The Legend of Vox Machina), Batwoman (Catwoman: Hunted), Gosalyn (DuckTales -2017), Gertie (Ice Age), Chimi (Maya & the 3), & many more - Katie Killjoy is voiced by Brandon Rogers who is the voice of Blitzo (Helluva Boss)
really hope you guys can react to the rest of the episodes! other youtubers have been having relatively good luck with avoiding too many copyright issues, so fingers crossed 🤞
Don’t know if you found this or if someone else commented it but Black Gryphon (the original singing voice of Alastor from the pilot) posted a song recently on his RU-vid channel of him and the other pilot voice actors doing a song called Thank You and Goodbye I think you both would really enjoy it along with his other song Heaven 2 Hell which is duet with Elsie Lovelock (Charlie’s singing voice from the pilot) as they are both Hazbin Hotel related you could do a reaction to them
I’m just shocked that they got Keith David to voice Husker. Like, that’s King Andrias from Amphibia, my LITERAL FAVORITE SHOW OF ALL TIME. …and the six million other fantastic roles he’s played BUT ANY CHANCE TO BRING UP AMPHIBIA IS A GOOD ONE OKAY
if there are copyright issues, you could always do what i have seen a couple of other youtubers do - and thats put the timestamp of where they're currently at, and have a watch along which would require the viewer to sync their copy up with yours
Here's hoping things go well, the show is fantastic. It might be a case where you have to mute the songs, I've seen other channels do the same and they seem to be getting along just fine, so that might be the ticket here. The pilot is still considered canon for the most part. The details have changed (namely the voices and character designs) but the events are still considered to have happened, it was about a week prior to this episode. Vaggie's voice actress is Stephanie Beatriz, who voiced Mirabel in Disney's Encanto.
Btw love how Charlie is the princess of hell and she has a smartphone too thus she uses modern tech, but for TV, she has a super old tiny "box", instead of like, I dunno, a wall that is a TV or something XD
Hopefully you should be able to continue this I’ve seen a lot of other people reacting to it. But yeah the songs aren’t filler they are very plot important so you gotta pay attention to them.
Im LOVINGGGGGG the reaction to this but i agree with a lot of the comments that its important to pay attention to the songs because its like a real musical, it helps push the plot along and gives a lot of context!
Erika Henningsen - Charlie Stephanie Beatriz - Vaggie Blake Roman - Angel Alex Brightman - Adam Keith David - Husk Kimiko Glenn - Niffty Amir Talai - Alastor I'm surprise but really happy they got Keith David
especially considering he doesn't cut anything out, so you're basically re uploading the entire video which would be an obvious cause for copyright issues
If you do end up reacting to the others episodes i suggest having the screen a little covered but have what you got covering it see through so we can also watch it ive seen other reaction channels do it
A lot of the comments are a little spicy that you weren’t paying attention during Adam’s song, but I found it really amusing to see you guys try to recognize Adam’s VA and getting excited that it was Alex Brightman 😂 it was kinda adorable lol
ok i just finished the last episode and seen you and kirby were doing a reaction so i rushed over and was like heck yea encore and i get to see ya'll react. also i still wanna punch adam lol cause it's gonna be a happy day in hell
Also the voice actor for Adam also played Beetlejuice on broadway and if you seen the musical for that he is great in it, and he sang live at Tony's as well :)
Guys, you can try to make a little darker picture with the series and write on it edited for copyright and release the series completely and you don't even have to turn off the songs. But it's a cool reaction, as always, love you guys❤😊
10:32 according to Professor Tolkien they have something called Ealar which is like a sense of identity or the core of one's being and is distinct from a soul or Fëa.
I love seeing how invested and on top of it Kirby was in this video. I hope to see more of her reactions to this season esspecially episode 4 since it’s Angel centric. No spoilers but I will say heed the content warning and please pace yourselves and don’t feel like you have to put your mental health at risk the first half of it is very heavy. Also Kyle if Kirby needs to look something up please pause the video so she doesn’t miss anything anything. Half of the joy comes from seeing you BOTH get to react to the video. I hope I don’t sound harsh I just notice it and it can be disappointing that they might be missing out on details. I know she did an amazing job catching the little details and filling you in but these episodes are fast and the lyrical content is important to understand what’s happening.
I really really really hope you guys continue! And yes Alex Brightman does Adam and Sir Pentious! This is a musical show so 2 to 3 songs per episode. Its understandable if you need to edit. Also nearly all VA's were replaced because they want an all Broadway cast sort of deal. Alastor was replaced. But most voice actors tried their best to honor the old ones and match them.
7:09 oh you have no idea why that's so funny. If you're worried about copyright so much you still have that one piece reaction channel you're not using you could risk. Maybe remake it into a channel for more risky reactions.
