Dont u ppl also have a lot of art forms still being performed like kathak and all... Why isn't it being carried to a bigger level like we do? It's not like u ppl lost everything
@@Adi-dt3pg good point, however, I'm speaking from an unbiased perspective to answer your question, I'm neither a North Indian or a South Indian, I'm a Bengali, and we have lots of culture mix in Bengal itself. From my childhood I've learnt Bharatnatyam, Kathak and the Rabindric style of dance which is an amalgamation of my culture along with the North and South but to this date I haven't differentiated between them as I've learnt all of them feeling I'm learning my country's culture not some specific areas'. Had I thought about uplifting my region I would have learnt only Rabindric style but I take India as a whole and would like to take India forward not some specific region. Isn't that what we Indians are known for? Unity in diversity?
These lessons should be available at every school in India. Kathak also, girls and boys can choose whatever they prefer and feel an affinity to. I wish I had a chance to learn our classical dance. In my next life, for sure! 🙏

Dance is not something that can be easily learnt, especially bharatnatyam......It needs a lot of practice and hard work... And the seniors as well as the aunties who come to learn are trying their best bcx at this age they go through many kinds of pains like leg and knee pain..........Don't judge a book buy it's cover
From my childhood, I never wanted to learn dance. But when I grew up, now at the age of 23 , I felt it is very good to be a dancer and now I started learning bharathnatyam. I feel very proud to say this because I enjoy doing bharathnatyam now the most than anything else. And now , seeing all forms of dance, I enjoy it a lot💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞

@@laachi155 Hey, I live in Nürnberg and here, there is an Institute where they teach dance and music. They currently teach Bharathnatyam, semi-classical and bollywood. They have beginners and intermediate level. I feel very comfortable learning from them. They charge 50 euro per month .
@@Ammuuuzzz that's so good to know. The fees is really a bit too much. But I hope to be able to attend. I've trained in Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattom and Folk dance for 12½ years. It's been so long since I've danced but I really wanna continue. I'm trying to find a slot to attend the B2 exam but kittunnilla 🥲
