Nice one Chris . Always clear and positive and one day I can see you getting your own Talk sport show or even become a TV pundit. Always professional ,Well done matey .
Gabby…. miles off in terms of why we were celebrating in those early games of last season. Nobody was celebrating “winning the league”. We’re spurs not Man City. Different clubs entirely. Chris stood up and hit the nail on the head on what the celebrations were really about.
Hilarious! Haven't you learnt anything yet, Chris. Ange couldn't give a shit about "statement" signings, all that matters to him is that he can get in the players who best fit the system and the current needs of the squad. It's what he's done in the past two windows and it's what he will keep doing in this and future ones. That might disappoint people but as you conceded his signings have been very good so far.
I'm surprised how many pundits and vloggers fail to grasp this simple but important fact about big Anges type of player, given he's said it sooooo many times. SMH 🙄
It's both. 2 windows so far and we have had statement signings in both: summer: a GK, a CB, MD and attackers. In January: CB and an attacker. This needs to continue, we need a few players in and we need depth for the squad. #COYS
@@ChrisCowlin I think you're trying to be a little too cute and avoid stepping on any toes. Most of the fans calling for a "statement" signing want someone with a big name and reputation already. With the possible exception of Madison, they wouldn't consider any of Ange's signings so far, as a "statement" signing.
As much as I want to criticise Levy I am going to hold my tongue and wait to see what happens in this transfer market. Hopefully we start to buy some immediate first team players soon.
Predictable formula. The large majority of our attacking play consists of low crosses/ cut back. While I acknowledge my lack of knowledge compared to pros, it seems that although we are very attack minded, our attacks seem to be contrived. Too pre planned, lacking in creativity. I like Ange but seems like easy to call and more people starting to notice. Thoughts?
I am so excited to watch Ange's "great signing" Timo Werner who is here despite he can't shoot ball on goal because "If Timo is scoring goals he'd be too expensive for us". That is level of support we are talking about here. When that kid from Leeds and Championship start to train under Hibernian reject he will surely become a superstar. Fifth richest club in revenue, club with yearly profit of 130 millions + depreciation value which need "to sell to be able to buy" which must be "creative on transfer market". But hey, new hotel will be built near the stadium. Be happy about it, remember that next time when Arsenal take lead of 3:0 at N17 or when exit from cup by some lower team. There is only one way how this club can go forward and we all know this but we pretend we don't.
Considering it was the first year of a new project, I would say the Spurs outperformed expectations. What went wrong is that other teams are simply better than them at the moment. You can see where they are headed if everything works out though. Contenders at a minimum.
We are moving wayyyyyy too slow in this market compared to our rivals 😱😱 Outgoings is good but the moment Eze & Toney stepped off that plane for England, we should have had people waiting to pay the damn fees and take them on pre-season tour so Ange can incorporate them into the squad 😔 once again we will lose out to our rivals
I think a quality winger as well, I couldn't even count how many times I was frustrated with Johnson and Kulu at right wing, just watch the Burnley cup game and you can see we need better quality upfront.
Excuses excuses usual Spurs nonsense! They know rightly who they want and what they need. Go get it sorted or fall further behind! I love and back our manager but will levy deliver ??? Don’t hold your breath COYS
Chris making excuses for levy. Ange wanted players in early, hasn’t happened I hop I’m wrong but I can see this being a long hard season with villa Man Utd buying well , Chelsea and Newcastle will improve without European football nest year. A couple of injuries to big players and were f@#ked
