It’s UEFA and FIFA pushing for more games, so they can sell them to the broadcasting companies! The broadcasting companies might be responsible for strange and awkward kick off times, but they’re not responsible for the amount of games

Let’s stick to the subject, which is the *amount* of games being played, not how much money is being paid to broadcast them! It’s the games governing bodies, UEFA, FIFA, the FA who are increasing the number of games in the UCL, in the Club World Championship. At international level, it’s the pointless Nations League or the fact there are more and more teams at each international tournament. None of that is the broadcasting companies

Fans do NOT want more fixtures. We need a break as well. Year round football is too much for everyone; physically, mentally, financially! In the US sports organisations protect their sports by having clearly defined seasons with plenty of time off for the players so they can prepare and train in order to be at their best every season.
