FOB!!! 🤤 I'm drooling!!! And kudos to you for detecting close to the road - I was thinking "modern trash and pop cans galore" but laughed when I saw the antenna on the cell phone, that was pretty funny! (Not sure why!) You knocked it out of the park Stef - tons of thanks from all of us non New England detectorists!! ❤
@@StefDigs It needs to be a short. The only problem is it would hurt your sponsor ships. It still will be a classic blooper! Thanks for the great education during the live show.
Some very Cool Historical finds Stef. I like how you bring them all to Life, showing precisely what they are or was once a part of! I can tell how Knowledgeably & fascinated you are about History! Thank You, always learning experience
I experienced the same detecting the same land with a new machine that I have detected 100’s of times. Hence my gold ring , deep HC , truly never think you found it all. Exciting finds, congrats.
Love that little shield buckle! What a fun hunt!! Nice big buttons, I don’t dig many of those in Missouri, but do find quite a few smaller buttons. We talk about zinc and how modern coins aren’t going to be found by detectorists in 100 years. I’d never heard of a spinner fob, that was cool. I swing a Manticore as well and appreciate being able to see your screen while you’re swinging. Thoroughly enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing Stef
Sweet woods finds Stef! I would love to come up North and hunt one day. But Va. has so much History here ! Great hunt! Thanks for sharing and happy detecting!
Hi Stef, The spinner fob is really special. I got a kick out of the recycled flip phone. I’ll just recycle it over here. I have to say I’m with everyone else on your appearance on Quarter After.😂 Hey it happens but now we know you’re a real person. Keep after the good stuff. I’m finally over Covid and rebound Covid. I am scheduled to clear a property that had an old general store on it. The owner said have at it so as I’m clearing and grading I’ll do some detecting. Thanks for the video and all you do… John
@@shooterjohn7163 haha, I definitely messed up, but in a glorious way apparently! 🤣 I was cackling backstage for another ten minutes, can’t remember the last time I laughed so hard! Glad you’re feeling better!
Hey Stef before I watch your video I just have to say loved you on the Quarter Past The Hour With Jason and Crew. You were awesome. Loved the end of the Show was LM-O. Please don't change you are awesome and I bet a lot of fun to detect with. Take Care Stef
@@craziedigging4590 thank you! The end of the show was the takeaway for just about everybody… 😂 I still laugh and cringe at the same time whenever I think about it. 🤣
Hi Stef! Caught you on Quarter After last week. Great discussion and lots-o-fun. The next morning I saw Brad's show with you and Jason on it! It's a neato little world we find ourselves in. Hope you're doing well and I look forward to your next video!
ps - All I can see is poison ivy all around you but I do have blurry eyes. It's all over the Rochester, NY region so I'm ultra-sensitive to it. Looking forward to winter when at least the leaves will be gone because woods hunting is awesome.
@@adrientucker5949 thank you! I haven’t watched Brad’s yet, but I know I need to - I usually watch every Friday morning, but I’ve been preoccupied. The Quarter After show was a blast! And yes… that site is loaded with poison ivy. I went back there a few days ago and filmed a great video. My hands are covered. 😂
I’ve been waiting for your next video to say…I watched Quarter Hoarders “Quarter After“ with you and (I’m sure you know where this is going) but it was the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time! It was just hilarious to realize “OMG she doesn’t know they’re still live”!😂 Honestly I was laughing out loud at work watching it play out.
Great video Ms Stef Digs. The phone was an Motorola Razr from 2003 or 04. Awesome finds Ms Stef Digs. Have a good Monday to you and ✌️. Keep making awesome videos and I will watch them Ms Stef Digs.
Great finds once again. I just got home from my own detecting. Sat with a coffee and tuned in to your vid, awesome. I must be girl fanning cos I enjoyed this vid. Nice buckle, I like buckles. The old flip phone🤣I had one back in 1988🤣
@@brunfree haha, thank you! Yeah, I feel like I had that Motorola in 2003? I remember a friend showing me how to send a text on it. Didn’t know you could do that. 😳😂
My feeling is you had an exceptional two-day hunt. I have seen a couple of those fobs, but never complete. BUT, I have never seen a shield buckle and that is my favorite of your finds.
Well done on the finds Stef. Shame you couldn’t find what went in the spinner but the bit you found was cool as. The little shield buckle was a ripper. Those M9 coils are sweet. Running mine now in the UK. It’s nailed a couple of hammereds. Take care mate 🦘🦘😁👍
@@TheCoffeeBushKid thanks Andrew! I feel like the other piece of the fob probably fell off somewhere else, boy did I search for it! I LOVE the M9, I don’t ever want to take it off the machine!
You know you can short cut to the lighting menu just by clicking the bottom left light button instead of going into the settings menu. Just noticed how you went to it but I'm sure you already knew that.
New to your channel and just want to say you are absolutely incredible at this. I got my first detector (Manticore) in may and look forward to watching and learning more from your videos.
@@StefDigs I saw where you mentioned it in the video. I’m going to have to find it and try it out. Like I said I’m very new and have a lot to learn. So far I’ve only been running factory settings so I’m excited to try it out.
@@IndianaDirtDigger right on! Factory settings are an excellent start, there’s no rush to plugging in your own programs. They end up developing over time as you decide what you like. The program I’m using was something I grabbed online and I’m surprised at how much I love it!
Nice to see you on Green Mountain with Brad and Jason. I thought your interview with Jason was fantastic. Love the buttons and the spinner fob were great finds. Do you think 9" coil is worth getting? I do have the M8 coil.
@@michaelvenezia8432 thank you! I still need to head over and watch Brad’s video - looking forward to it! I have all of the Manticore coils and the M9 is hands-down my favorite. I like it because it’s appropriate for heavy iron in tight spots, and also for the outskirts of the site. I felt like I wasn’t covering enough ground with the M8 even though the difference in size is minimal. I haven’t taken the M9 off my machine except for the event I was at where you saw me with Brad, and I wish I’d kept the M9 on! If you decide to get one, reach out to me - contact info is in the pinned comment. 😊
So cool learning from your videos. Im going to check out the Simply Beast and give it a shot. I want to start playing bit with the settings just to see.
You forgot to mention the flip phone on your end-of-video summary. I expect to see that on eBay at some point 😉 One request is to possibly take a moment to explain your Minelab screen and detail what info it's giving you. I have experience with a Fisher F44 but would be interesting to see what-more the Minelab has to offer. Great videos. I sincerely look forward to each and every one of them!
@@GeorgeLandreman thank you! I try not to oversaturate the digs with technical talk, but there are many times I’ll say, “you see the target is mixed with iron because of X, Y, and Z.” Even in this video, I made a comment about a poor reading on the 2D screen probably being a good target that was deep - and I got to prove it! 😊 There are other channels that’ll offer a lot more insight, but I try and remain more focused on the hunt. Thanks for watching!
Hey Stef, the fob is incredible. I really had no idea what you were talking about until you showed the image. Just wondering, do you ever set flags or pins to know where specific items were located? If I were you, I'd be tempted to go back there and sift the dirt for a bit and see if I could locate the missing piece(s). Epic.
@@KidDig thank you! I have location settings enabled on my phone. If you take a photo of a find with location settings on, you can swipe up on the photo and it’ll show what town the photo was taken in. Click on that, and it gives you exact GPS coordinates. Dunno if this works on an Android, but on iPhone it does. I probably should’ve stressed the fact that I spent almost an hour at the hole sifting with my hands. 😂 I believe the other piece fell off elsewhere.
@@StefDigs Too light weight. Might be riding bridle, either cheek or throat latch. I knoe the French and Polish were in the colonies around the time of the Rev War. Could be a satchel buckle too.
@@Earth-Chiming the little piece? I think it’s something industrial, but I could be wrong. The threaded tip wouldn’t be for a watch, at least not to my knowledge.
Hey Stef, great video! Since you mentioned it, I have been eyeing up the xterra elite. Specifically the expedition combo deal. I'm someone who is never going to be able to, or honestly, be interested in, deciphering all the bells and whistles of a machine like the manticore. What do you think of the elite as a machine for an experienced beginner, moving into the intermediate realm? Iappreciate your time and expertise! Thanks, Barb
@@BarbRayno I think it’s perfect for exactly that - beginner to intermediate! I have one although I didn’t swing it too much because I primarily use the Manticore. When I did use it, it was stable, easy to use, and it’s got all of the basic settings my Equinox has. Would highly recommend one! If you decide to go for it, please shoot me an email!
@@StefDigs Thank you so much! We're creek walking and bottle digging here while we wait for the farmers to get all of those pesky crops out of our way!
