On y entend clairement l'écho de Blind Willie Johnson, bravo pour cette interprétation, il ne manque que la deuxième voix féminine pour être transporté dans les années 30
Martin Swamps i was listening to your video again and after it finished i turned on appalachia radio in Fallout 76 and wouldn’t you know it...the song was playing
This is such a great slide blues tune, and man you do it really well, one of my " new favs", love that solid syncopation, fingerstyle+slide, and the vocal, all one big instrument w cool results, such a classic. Blind Willie is a new discovery, through a Zep song, as usual, oops they did it again, sort of. Different music, but strongly influenced lyrical hints. Great melody, brilliant slide blues playing, one of the inventors, sure Mr.Page gave it a few listenings no doubt
An excellent version, it’s been said that blind Willies original is the best slide playing ever played and you’ve nailed it, and your singing is also excellent, well done
Man... Only 187 subscribers and just a few thousand views??? Is this a joke? None of this renders you justice. I bumped into the channel myself by chance. I was about to fall asleep on my couch watching slide guitar videos but I jumped up as soon as I heard your performances. You master them all, for me from the songs I heard you are the best all out contemporary blues guitar performer I know of. Hats off! PS: I only drank 2 beers ;)
That's badass. Reminds me of Fallout76 . I can make my cheap $5 aluminum slide sound, reasonable.. specially on; In my time of dying. but I have a feeling a more legitimate slide would serve me much better. Any recommendations? Brands/Materials one should aim for to use on an typical Electric guitar?
Hey man! I personally think that glass bottleneck slides are the finest. They're lightweight and have great sustain. Bone slides are really great too if they are well polished. In this video I used a pork shoulder bone I made myself.
