Mrs. Gulics took a trip with her World History Class to a Hindu Mandir right here in Robinsville, New Jersey, to learn all about the unique Hindu culture.
Hello Im Hindu from Indonesia🇮🇩 And in my country (Balinese Hindu People) Mandir or Hindu temple also called Pura from Sanscrit (Pur= fort/city :place for take cover)
@@rajdeepsarkar7338 i'm Balinese (ethnic) people, but stay in Lampung Province, part of West Indonesia🇲🇨,because in the past, my grandparents took part in the transmigration program from the densely populated area of Bali Province to various sparsely populated provinces in Indonesia, thus making the Balinese population (almost 100% Hindu) in Indonesia spread - + 5 million
@@dailyviews2843 maybe but if you want to preserve any culture like indian sanatani culture, then you should be hindu no matter you practicing hindu or not, or even an atheist.
Let's be real, these kids aren't going learn much about Hinduism. They've learn that Hindu aesthetics are gorgeous and that Hindus are cultured, civilised people.
You are talking as if you can learn hinduism in one day 😮💨 you can't! Especially if there's an abrahmic, they will have a hard time understanding even previous life, karma sidhant, yoga, etc the most basic things of Hinduism And second 😂we don't care if they know hinduism or not. But I bet there would be someone teaching them things about mandir in mandir 😅
They pray at home and whenever they want, at home all the sites are ancient and significant or relate to the earth, very detailed and colorful, also because believe in all.
I have been to this Mandir a few months ago, you can't really capture the sculptures and all the detailed architecture on the recording, but it is very beautiful from what you see in this video, they also could not capture glances from inside which is really beautiful..!!
@@soumyaranjanbarik3015 very true. We lost so many magnificent piece of architecture. We lost so many knowledge, wonder what we hv lost bcz of those jihadi invaders.
Wow! It's so amazing how internet is bringing us closer. Me being an Indian watching American kids going to the mandir in their own country and learning about our culture is fantastic. We as humans need more of this inclusiveness! Good job you guys!👍😊
LOTS OF LOVE FROM INDIA TO THOSE STUDENTS WHO VISITED HINDU TEMPLE... I HOPE YOU ENJOY IT ... I'M VERY GLAD THAT YOU GUYS VISITED... THANK YOU 🇮🇳🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤
BAPS is short form for a body which looks after swaminarayan temples. U should visit India, a very beautiful temple of swaminarayan bhagwan is in Delhi, and all over Gujrat.
Virender Pratap Singh there are two major types, BAPS is where Pramukh Swami Maharaj is praised as go, while in ORIGINAL Swaminarayan branch only god is worshiped, not the worshiper!!! For BAPS please google!!
This beautiful Mandir of Lord SwamiNarayan is a wonderful example of how the old Hindu architecture has been preserved till date. This beautiful Mandir is now part of the American life and soon will be part of Americam History. Best wishes to the American people.
You guys are so lucky to have witnessed worlds best architecture and most importantly worlds best Dharma, The Sanatana Dharma, and you got an opportunity to explore and learn about it!
Ganges is a perfectly right way name for Ganga. The word changes from place to place. In the North we call it Ganga, in the south they call it Gangai, in English they call it Ganges. Not wrong...
Adam Hendrickson Yea but still it’s original name remains Ganga!! And in English they jus add “a” or “as”/“es” like Rama/Vedas/Ganges etc! And yea doesn’t matter North or south ...go check the pronunciation in Sanskrit ! That is what matters ✌️
Hey ,I am from India .Hindu or Sanatan Dharm is not only a relision , it is a good way of living . Ever read red Bhagwat Geeta, then you feel Hinduism.
Brainwashed!!!! kisne bola tujhe? Saalo ye Islam nhi h ki ye nhi kr sakte wo nhi krte sakte. Chewing school m Mana ki jaati h iska Matlab ye nhi h har jagah band h. Aur school m bhi iseliye taaki arrogant naa lage.
@@suiicida 😌 do u understand what's the importance of a mandir? it is an energy centre and the diety residing in it is the source of it. to enter there u should have little bit of devotion and follow certain terms to get the maximum gain from it. but i guess you didn't know that, it is common in many families, they don't pass on the knowledge and science about sanatan dharma to their generations. as they didn't passed up the manners & patience to you "don't start abusing abruptly any person , only mad man do it, respect the naaris , that's the foremost dharma of a sanatani" well in the last I said, "supposed to" , it's not an obligation on anyone though. be in peace
@@AditiSharma-hk3tn sanatan dharm is the most beautiful great religion among all.... though we have so much tolerance that doesn't mean to disrespect ..... We must respect it's beliefs culture etc.. I think those students are ignored about those understanding...let it keep them forgive.. Btw happy to read your comment aditi.. Respect!!!
@@KickingtheDonksNuts did you read the explanation? I'm sure you didn't. you can't ascend to sanatan till you learn being humble and accept to bow down.

If possible go to India and visit the temples there...the original version of that same temple in Houston is called Akshardham which is found in Delhi...simply incredible..
well done all the girls and boys and the person who made this video. you guys were brilliant. respect to you all and all pupils of your school. you made us all proud. good luck to each of you and remember in life we should always think of the less unfortunate and always learn to forgive and forget. take care.
So cute you guys. As a Hindu who grew to in Texas and went to highschool there 20 years ago, I wish our school promoted cultural experiences like this too. Super cool to see your class out and about doing this
When we were in 2nd grade our school had arranged a trip to the nearby temple, mosque, church, and gurudwara and all students irrespective of their religion we allowed to all the holy institutions. This indeed depicts the that indians are trying to promote communal harmony inspite of all cultural and religious diversity .😊
I have seen all different kinds of Architecture in the world . Find me one which has mastered intricate engraving and sculpture as INDIAN ARCHITECTURE . ESPECIALLY THE MANDIRS IN THE SOUTH INDIA . No offense to other styles , I love what Greeks contributed to architecture like the Parthenon , but yeah then again INDIAN ARCHITECTURE HAS THE ABSOLUTE MASTERY OF INTRICACY & COMPLEXITY OF ENGRAVING PATTERNS . NO ONE CAN BEAT THAT. 😊
