It's official ... taking the next steps in my cancer journey 

TODAY IS NOT THAT DAY ... this is a helpful thought that helps me get through those moments when things don't look great. Last week was one of those weeks as I received the pathology analysis of my recent lung surgery. It determined once and for all, the disease has metastasized and further progression is likely.
There's every reason for me to be bummed out but I chose to do something very positive and soul-building. I visited some friends whom I have not seen in many years. And all through it I kept reminding myself the today will not be that day when I begin to lose perspective and hope.
It was a wonderful day in so many ways ...
